  1. The car didn't scare me one bit because I heard the horn go off multiple times while waiting in line.
  2. *wonders to himself whether said moderator will dare insult Terpy for bringing that up, then quickly delete the topic* What's with all the hate towards Ryan? Do you realise that if he got sick enough of all the noobs on this website he could close it down in a heartbeat? The Fox19 topic was deleted because TomKatt asked for it to be deleted because of something someone said. Stop complaining about everything so much, and be thankful we have such a good Kings Island FANSITE(as SOME of you seem to forget this IS a fansite) that has such a good relationship with the park. People are getting sick of reading your posts that complain about every tiny bad experience you've had in the park. Nobody cares. You make yourself out to be the victim in most of these situations. Stop complaining ALL THE TIME, and join a Kings Island hate website if you still feel the need to complain about everything the park does. Ha ha this rules.
  3. The only one that was hard to find for me was Cut Throat Cove because it wasn't lit up Friday night. Other than that, none of them are hard to find. And, I think he meant they all have a red light up neon skull and crossbones sign at each haunt now. Unless they really did have those before I don't recall seeing them.
  4. Gator, you all did great in Slaughterhouse I was just overwhelmed by the fog. And I thought I remember seeing the animals at the end in one of the dark rooms but I'll take your word for it haha. I do remember the weird little cows lol.
  5. Sorry you didn't find it scary but to be fair you only went through two mazes. I think the actors are all top notch this year and it's been the best year in quite some time!
  6. I would've liked Slaughterhouse if it wasn't 5 minutes of running into walls while the whole thing smelled like pig ****.
  7. I will rate them from the ones I went through last night out of scariness and out of pure enjoyment. 1. Cut Throat Cove scariness - 4/10 enjoyment - 7/10 2. CarnEvil scariness - 3/10 enjoyment - 8/10 3. Slaughterhouse scariness - 7/10 enjoyment - 3/10 4. Tombstone Terrortory scariness - 7/10 enjoyment - 9/10 5. Cemetery Drive scariness - 7/10 enjoyment - 8/10 6. CornStalkers scariness - 8/10 enjoyment - 10/10
  8. I'm not trying to argue, but as immature as it is, it's a natural reaction for some people to chuckle or laugh if someone slips or falls. As far as I know the guy could have been in character and wasn't necessarily laughing personally at this guy but using it a part of his act. If the guy fell and broke an arm and some one laughed I could see it being a big deal but this guy didn't even fall he just slipped a little bit.. that's hardly a big deal.
  9. I saw a lot of younger kids last night. I might come later in the night, not sure.
  10. I liked Cut Throat. It was pretty cheesy but there were a few good scares in there and it was fun to walk through. I wasn't a fan of Slaughterhouse. It's done up really really nice.. I mean it smells horrible throughout the whole thing. But there's a few rooms where it's totally fogged out and you can't find your way out. I guess that's supposed to be scary but to me it's just annoying when I'm running into different walls for 5 minutes with the scareactors yelling which way to go.
  11. I went through Tombstone Terrortory around 9ish-10ish and they were letting in groups of 8 or so. And no offense, but if I was the staff worker and you told me someone laughed cause you slipped, I would have started laughing as well.
  12. I wanted to do Urgent Scare because it was awesome last year but my friend was too scared ha. I had to beg to do SlaughterHouse. And the live animals were almost at the end of the SH if I recall. It was really dark and you couldn't really see them.
  13. I'm super tired so this probably won't be too long ha sorry. Arrived around 8 o'clock or so and was happy to see not too many cars. Got in and decided to check out Cut Throat Cove first. We walked around the Viking Ship and by Bubba Gump only to find it's exit. Then someone kindly informed us that the line we saw by the Viking Ship was the line for Cut Throat Cove. We walked back over and there was only about 3 people in line. Walked right on through until we finally got to the "real" entrance. The skull masks look really cheap on this one but it was fun. There was a few scares but most of it just came off extrememly cheesy. From here we went and got a ride in on Adventure Express. After, we decided to go check out CarnEvil this year. This one already had about a 20 minute wait but it wasn't too bad. The guy at the front was pretty good. This one is switched up a bit from last year I believe but mostly is the same. Always a fun walk through but I can't say I got scared. Next up was Slaughterhouse. This one had about a 30 minute wait. We got in line and there was a group of 2 girls behind us. Then comes along a group of about 7 obnoxious 14 or so year old girls. They were so annoying upon entering the line yelling such things at "Hey trick!" to the monsters roaming around. Then they preceded to ask every single person in line if they "had a light". Some man mistakenly said "I don't have one oh wait she does!" pointing at his wife. She gave him an evil glare but gave the girls her lighter. Then about 3 of these girls light up cigarettes in the middle of the line. Let me tell you how cool they were.. The two girls behind us quickly told the KI employee and he told them they had to go to the designated smoking area and two of them took off to the area, cigarette in hand. They then started *****ing about how the girls "told" on them. The girls who "told" said they were alergic to the smoke and one girl goes "how can you be alergic to smoke if you are with all this fog?" It was so embarassingly dumb. Luckily the argument didn't last long, I didn't want to drop down so low as to tell of a 14 year old girl. And of course they got stuck in there with us in the haunted house but I didn't notice them honestly. The whole slaughterhouse was themed really nice but the smell of animal **** made me wanna vomit. It was almost too real for me ha. And at one point I got lost in there and ran into about 3 different walls with the scaractors calling me stupid for not being able to see where to go. I had to hold out my arms in front of me so I wouldn't run into any thing and I poked some guy in the face lol and got blood on my hand. I apologized and he guided us out. It was about 100x more annoying than scary. Good job to the actors but I'll never do that one again. After this we went and rode Diamondback with a 10 minute wait or so. From here we went on Tombstone Terrortory. Waited about 15 minutes for the train then 5 minutes for the train to leave. Then waited another 15 minutes once we got off the train. But, I must say, this one is far better this year than the last. I really liked it. After this, we went through the cemetary or whatever it's called now. It had a really short line but still took 20 minutes to get in for some reason. Plus there was like 500 "VIP"? groups that got to go ahead of the regular line. I liked this one a lot better this year as well. There was a lot of good scares and it seemed to last a good while. Then we went and got another ride on Adventure Express. Then went to CornStalkers and this had no line at all. This one was my favorite of the night by far. I loved it. Then we went to The Vortex which was also a walk on and got my brain scrambled so we decided to leave. Right as we got in our car it started to rain pretty heavy. Overall, everything is a lot better so far this year. Might head out there tomorrow night and check out some of the other haunts. Nice job to everyone working there I had a good time.
  14. They were all walk throughs. The Freezer was similar to how Death Row is now except it was located by the Eifel Tower. Pirate Jack and The Sewer were both similar to how CarnEvil is now.
  15. I got lost in the Freezer for like 45 minutes. The Sewer was really cool and The Mummy's Revenge was the best one that year. I liked it a lot more than when they moved it under The Racer.
  16. Im excited and I can deal with the rain as long as the mazes are open!
  17. I don't really see the big deal about calling it the Diamondback. I realize there's no 'the' in the name but I don't see the harm in saying it.
  18. How's it going to be with the rain tonight?
  19. If it was after 7pm when the park was about to close I think this was my friend and I. She made a comment similar to this but I believe her exact quote was "woah wait what happened to the loop? I thought I remember a loop last time?" Which actually isn't that dumb of a question.
  20. Nice report! Those long lines don't sound too great but I'm glad you had a good time. Check out my trip report and you'll see that I've come to the conclusion that the Trail of Terror is the hot spot for the annoying people to hang out. I literally laughed when I read the part about the girls singing because I've had way too many similar experiences waiting for that one. (Even in past years)
  21. What exactly is the audition process like for HH? I'd love to do it.
  22. That I absolutely love it. And I could've sworn it still had "Fear Zones" on their websites but I checked and you're definitely right. So does this mean that The Cemetery, The Worksite, & Corn Stalkers are all longer to be on par with the other mazes? Or are they still the same length? Thanks!
  23. Urgent Scare is in the 3-D theater back by The Vortex. The way they have the Worksite set up and such I got confused ha ha. I don't know if it was really confusing or I just wasn't really paying attention. Regardless, we went around the Eifle Tower past the Cemetery and past the Worksite exit and we were trying to get to Italian Job we had to go all they way back around the Eifle tower and go back around through Nickelodeon and around Rivertown just to get to Italian Job. So don't go that way.. Most people seem to get left straight to Action Zone so I'd say either cut through where the Viking Fury is or hang left by the Cemetery off of International and take Coney Maul all the way back.
  24. Hey, first post. Well, technically, it's my second post. (Ha) Just thought I'd add a little contribution to the forum. 9/26 Been waiting all year and it was finally here, Halloween Haunt! Of course, I HAD to go the night it opened. I was mostly excited to check out Urgent Scare but just excited to be there at all. I went with a fairly decent sized group and we didn't end up getting to the park until after 8. Surprisingly, it wasn't that crowded at all. We really wanted to ride Son of Beast but for some reason went to Delirium first. I remember one of my friends saying SOB was closed but I honestly don't remember? Anyways, the wait for Delirium was only about 15 minutes so not bad at all. After that quick but fun ride we decided to go to Drop Zone, excuse me, Drop Tower. I personally am not too fond of Drop Tower. I'll admit it feels really cool going down but even after riding it a million times I still get the creeps going up ha ha. I guess that sounds a bit hypocritical of me to not want to ride Drop Tower because it's a bit frightening but I am going to HH to get SCARED. Hmm.. I confuse myself sometimes. But anyways, Drop Tower was a walk on ride and was actually really fun. A bit spooky, not gonna lie, but still fun and it's always better at night time. So I voiced my opinion that it was time for some haunted stuff. There were quite a few roamers at the front gate when we entered as well as scattered all over Action Zone. (Gotta wonder about the fish monster, though lol.) So, we went back to Urgent Scare. I heard the siren and it got me pretty pumped. There were a few groups of people outside of the entrance right under the big Urgent Scare sign so we went and stood behind them thinking we had a long wait ahead of us. But, then they informed us they weren't in line with a bit of an attitude. Gee, sure does seem like the smart thing to do to stand right in front of the entrance blocking people from going in but then look at us like we're stupid when we wait behind them. I don't get people, but anyways, we made our way in. I don't want to ruin anything but I did get a little confused at first and did think we were just walking right on into the maze ha ha but then we discovered the lines and such. Man, it looked like they had already evacuated town if you get my drift. The line was so short.. we walked almost all the way to the front. Really nice job, KI. I love that they have the scareactors waiting in line for this one and it's set up so nice. I did get a little tired of the megaphone but it was all in good fun ha ha. I usually don't get scared but I'm not going to lie, I didn't know what to expect. Really really enjoyed it. It's a great addition to HH, I must say. It's nice and long and VERY gory. After this, we decided to ride Vortex since it was right there at the exit of Urgent Scare. If I remember correctly, it was only a 10-15 min wait at most. LOVE this ride at night. We then decided to go check out the Trail of Terror. Man, this is THE hangout for the annoying people. I swear there were so many douchebags in line I wanted to die. But, the line was fairly short, so that was a plus. But, they were sending the groups in so fast, the group behind us caught up really fast. They were right behind us and were making comments like "Hey I wanna get scared too!" because the monsters were jumping out trying to get us and they saw it happen. Seriously, don't give us **** because you caught up so quickly. We weren't walking slow either, so they had no reason to ***** at us. Excuse the language. Anyways, I must say the Trail was ruined for me because of the annoying people behind us. Nice job to everyone working the trail but I couldn't enjoy it with the assholes behind us. We then headed to Firehawk. It was the shortest wait I've ever had to wait for it and was pretty fun ride. We went to Flight of Fear next and waited about 10 minutes. That ride never gets old. I believe we went to Death Row after this. This had an EXTREMELY short line which I found kinda hard to believe as it's usually very long. Nearly walked right in for this one. Love the guy working at the entrance, he always makes me laugh. Some reason I always get stuck with a few people in front of me that I don't know so I find it awkward to put my hands on their shoulders. So, of course he separates us ha but it's okay because that's how I wanted it. (We didn't know the people in front of us) But, I'm not sure if it's set up differently this year but I got lost like 5 times! Ha, it's really good this year. Probably my favorite maze at HH... At one point I pulled back this curtain because I was lost and one of the scareactors was just sitting down I guess taking a break ha ha.. so funny. (If you're reading this, sorry about blowing your cover ha ha) After that we were all pretty excited to go ride The Beast. We basically walked right onto the ride and it was a very good one I must say. LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE The Beast. We were there so we decided to ride The Crypt. Eh, not really a fan of this one. I hadn't ridden it since all of the TR stuff was gone and it made the ride seem really different. I don't know, wasn't very enjoyable and actually made me feel a bit ill lol. So after this we went to Tombstone Terrortory and the train showed up only a few seconds after we walked into the gates. (lucky us) We only had to wait about 5 minutes for this one and it was pretty enjoyable. We were the last group to go in so it was kinda spooky knowing there was nothing behind us besides the scareactors. End of the night for us, a very good trip though. SOOOOO, I made plans with a different set of friends to go the next Friday: 10/3 We probably got to the park about 8:00 or so this time around. We walked in and there were TONS of roamers up front. It was really cool to see so many of them. My friend went to the bathroom and we decided to check out Club Blood. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for this one. I really enjoyed this one like a million times better than last year. I jumped a ton in this one! I usually don't tend to jump but man they kept on getting me. Props to the girl at the entrance as well, she was pretty funny. I did make her laugh though at one point though, ha. She seemed pretty cute though, not going to lie. After Club Blood, we went to go check out Urgent Scare's line. It was already backed up outside of the main Urgent Scare sign. Too long of a line for us, so we went to the Trail of Terror. What did I tell you about the annoying people at Trail of Terror? This time it was a huge group of young teenagers in front of us in line. Good lord, it was like the whole 7th grade took a field trip to the Trail of Terror. They were SO obnoxious ... Luckily when we got closer to the front they asked if anyone had a group of 4 and we did so we got to by pass the annoying kids and go on into the trail. WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, I don't know how they did it. But somehow the kids ended up right behind us and caught up with us pretty quickly. We also had caught up with the group in front of us but we didn't mind. But, once again, the trail was ruined for me because the kids had smart remark after smart remark. (Including, and I kid you not, "Don't you have anything better to do on a Friday night then scare little kids? Get a REAL job!") I wanted to die. But, god bless the chainsaw. Scared the **** out of em'. Went and rode The Vortex - 15 minute wait. I'm thinking we went to Adventure Express after this. We walked right onto it and stayed on for a second ride because there was no line. I love AE. Lol. I want to say we went to Delirium next. We rode it at some point during the night and it was only a 15 min wait or so. Always fun. CarnEvil was up next. It never scares me, but I love the hell out of it. This one had about a 30 minute wait or so but was worth it. It actually seemed a bit longer this time, but it may not be. Went and caught a ride on Italian Job (Backlot something or another?) and quite enjoyed that. Finally, and lastly, we went with some other friends we met up with to Death Row. I somehow got us lost in there AGAIN... multiple times. Ha ha, serious props to everyone involved in that one . . . I can't get enough. So, both times I had a ton of fun. I'm going back NEXT Friday (24th?) and I'm expecting it to be a lot more crowded. I really want to check out the mazes I have yet to go through this year. (Massacre Manor & Rebeard's Revenge) And also need to go through the Fear zones. I saw they moved CornStalkers when I was going to Drop Tower. I forgot to mention I saw a girl crying coming out of there and of course the they got her again at the very exit. I laughed so loud and she looked at me and I felt kinda bad, but it was hilarious.
