  1. They probably will continue to let people donate to pages.. But they probably pulled a report at midnight with all of the totals.
  2. Woah Danielle does still come around. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active using Tapatalk Haha. Yes Danielle does. It's hard being all the way down in SC but I'm flying in Wednesday at 11:45PM to make it.
  3. We're so close! We're going to get there I know I'm on the google docs already but here's my link again : http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/DanielleMaple/screamforakidagain
  4. It's awesome to see how many people keep joining the event and donating. It will definately be an event to remember. I'm almost half-way to my goal. Hopefully by this weekend I'll get there!
  5. Pretty sure it's intended for the person above you. Most of the people will probably already be riding Banshee for Media day in the morning. This event is definitely all about the kids so I don't get why you feel like doing it last minute is doing it "just so you can attend the event" Some people were unable to plan, like me, since I do live in another state and can't just randomly say I'm going to Kings Island for the event. I doubt anyone is doing this "just so they can go to the event." If anyone would like to donate to mine that would be much appreciated.
  6. I have not seen you forever, would love to see you! YES! It has been so long. I haven't been able to make it up there that much. I know I'll be at Media day and hopefully as long as I can raise enough I'll be at this as well.
  7. I am flying in for to make it to Media Day and this event hopefully. I just started fundraising today but hopefully I can do it within 2 weeks!! https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/DanielleMaple/screamforakidagain
  8. I was at Carowinds too on opening day from 9:30 - 8:15... long day. I'm so glad the rain went away in the middle of the day! I missed everyone from KIC there.
  9. I know that Carowinds had a new one last year called Defex.. It was all about different dolls or stuffed animals.. It was the worse maze I went in the entire time. But the makeup making the girls look like dolls was pretty cool.
  10. I've won the guess your age many times at KI and Cedar Point. Also at the basketball far away shoot my brother won me a HUGE killer Whale
  11. Lol. Okay.... Well everyone from KIC did. I was the first car in the roww past the handicapped. All you had to do was show a gold or platinum pass. They don't scan it.
  12. You didn't HAVE to pay for parking. lol. It's called go to the gold/platinum parking area. IDK why nobody else did it.
  13. I just feel like if you mentioned "the new thing at Kings Island" to any locals, they'd say "Oh the swing ride?" if they knew anything at all... Recall that it is us, the enthusiast community, who is so feverishly following these developments. Granted, after the actual announcement (and depending on what the attraction ends up being) it may be a battle for attention. But right now, I don't know that too many of the "general public" know or care what's coming... Maybe I'm wrong. That's just what I imagine. I think that the marketing standpoint on this sees WindSeeker as a "thrill" ride marketing to teens, and (again, pending announcement) this dinosaur thing as a family attraction that everyone can do together. I'm not sure if that's really the way things will be in practice, though. Both seem family-friendly to me. And that's a good thing. True.... But I'm pretty sure locals seeing a giant dinosaur in the front of the park will take a lot of attention off the "swing ride" lol.
  14. The only thing I question is why are they doing all this promoting when they have a new ride opening? Promoting all this is taking the attention off of the NEW ride they're opening. Soo idk how to feel about it.
  15. Yes I went to Kings Island yesterday. Yes it was packed. Yes people parked in the field. And yes, wolf packs line was three hours. But honestly, even if I barely got on anytging, at least I got to see Adam and Gabe. The entire trip was worth it for me because I got to hang out w friends my last day in Ohio.
  16. One thing I like is how SCarowinds has bring a friend deals on everyweekend, minus the busy saturdays.. Depending on the day its either $15.99 or $19.99, haven't had an issue with it.
  17. Soo, quick update.. I went to SCarowinds again both days this weekend, Friday and Saturday. Driving home at 1 am for 90 mins is a ***** though haha. It definately was more crowded than opening weekend. Saturday was hellish bc they had a concert or something going on. The police had the gold/platinum pass enterance blocked off till i went by soo that ****ed me off because we had to wait in the long line. Ticket lines are pretty barable, they move fast. There definately aren't many scare-actors walking around, pretty sure i've seen the same people every night. I LOVELOVELOVE the walk through haunts where you dont have to wait. Finally went in cornstalkers, suprised, one of the best!! Defex is definately one of the worse still. Pre haunt pump up: We had matching shirts and glow bands! Front of Park
  18. Yes, the skytower was operating. it had eyes on both sides!
  19. ps. my platinum pass is from Kings Island as well, I get into Carowinds fine!
  20. haha, fer sure. Let me know! It'd be cool to go with someone from KIC.
  21. Haha. My cup bled. I got a souvenir cup, and its really cool with fake blood inside.
  22. Sooo I was pretty excited for SCarowinds and so I rounded up a friend and we decided to go opening night. As an advisory, there aren't many pics right now put I'll keep posting more every week. **The bring a friend deal is really nice if you have a platinum pass, you can bring one friend every night depending on the night its either $15 or $19.** We had decided to do the PRE-Haunt VIP, which is an all you can eat dinner and then get in the park 30 minutes early for $16.99. The food, wasn't very good to be honest and not many choices. There was: Turkey, Salad, Green Beens, Corn and Cheddar Potatoes. There was also only 4 people in the whole program, so sitting around with only 2 people was creepy in itself. They played a cool video about SCarowinds, but it repeated like 4 times during the meal which got annoying. It was a nice touch how every worker there was costumed as well as some of the SCare-actors walking around as well. Most of the rides were open the entire night as well. We rode Afterburn and Boo Blasters.. Intimidator the entire night had a longer line than all the haunts combined! At 6:30 they let us in the park. The managers showed us where Defex is and that was the only one that would be open to us at that time. So we went straight to Defex to be the first people of the season to go in it. It was definately a fail. First off, you couldn't see at all. Secondly, the actors were pretty much talking to each other and not scaring us. Only cool thing was Where the Wild Things are Guy at the end, he was good. Another thing, about SCarowinds, they use ALOT Of clastraphobic tunnels, it gets annoying after a while. Camp Killaue: Cute theming. Didn't open till 8 pm. Had everything necessary of a good camp. Dead Inn: Couldn't see anything. Just a lot of people say leave. Slaughter House: Long line with a security guy obsessed with yelling at people if they walked over the rope. It wasn't as action packed as Kings Islands Scarowinds but it was okay. More cut off from Scare-actors because they were on the floor. Aslym: Supposed to be scariest one in park, but it was really lame. No shock. 3D Clowns: If you wanted 3D it was $1 more, so we opted for no 3D. It was pretty cool, the clowns were really exciting and loved jumping around and screaming. Not a good idea to go through after little girls who scream the entire time because it ruins the experience. Playground: I loved the scare zones, you had to walk through to get places. They were really cute and really interactive. They weren't outside till later in the night though. Feeding Frenzy: Not my favorite, didn't do anything with walking through. Just a lot of loud music and head banging emo boys. FANGS SHOW: WORSE SHOW EVER!! It's definately rated R. But was EXREMELY OFEENSIVE. THey had a show and then interjections. They mainly just used gay jokes that werent funny and then went through the crowd and called this one woman the girl from precious. Lets just say, at that point people had enough and more than half of the show got up and left.. I add some photos now but look for more during the year.. Bloody Fountain in front of park Very cool how they put eyes on the tower First car in the parking lot..... Cool cup
  23. Im soo pumped for Scarowinds. I will be there every weekend, minus the weekend I'll be at Kings Island.. Ill let you know how it is.
