  1. By the way guys for TRTR/Crypt, Kali is on the wall in the main chamber, Durga was in the Antechamber/Preshow area. ;P And they couldn't use DA, why? Have you ever seen how destructive Scare actors are? I don't think they want them playing in one of their biggest investments that they are pretty much "renting". Can't wait to see what KI is brewing up! Sad part is from now on I get to see it from the outside in now! But it will be interesting to see what goes on in the fog this year! and Yes, KI has to follow strict guidelines when it comes to those who are differently abled.
  2. As said before in this topic, DO NOT BRING THE KIDS. As a now former scare actor it is EXTREMELY frightening to younger kids.. I'd recommend a Babysitter. If you want to do things with the kids without worry of the Scare Actors, do a Sunday. There's Hall-o-Fest and a lot for them to do. If you want to go for you to go, get a baby sitter and go on Friday. Fridays are usually the quieter days for just going to Haunt. You'll get the full experience and get to do everything. If you plan on doing both, go Saturday but take the kids out of the park around 4 or so due to the actors walking out early. Also, Fastlane or Frightlane passes are a must for saturdays if you want the full experience. Ticket prices are cheaper than regular season, so you can get a great deal if you pre buy your tickets online, print them and bring them with you.. You can also get them at Will Call. Also make sure to pay attention to the signs outside the haunts if you go.. If you have medical conditions they list what happens in those mazes. If you have any other questions feel free!
  3. Nope it's not Circus Diabolique. I already have that one. It was another that played around the cycle of clowns and ballerinas.
  4. Hello again KIC, I come again Questing for music played in the park! I'm looking for 2 songs right now, both from my favorite time of year! Haunt season! First one I'm looking for was played in Coney Maul during Haunt nights... I don't remember much of the lyrics, but I know the singer reminded me of the lead singer from Panic! at the Disco and had a lot of la la las in it. He was acting as a ringmaster of some sort. The second one is from Hall-o-Fest, It's played throughout the park and all I remember it was a very jazzy Saxaphone, no lyrics. Anyone that can help would be appreciated!
  5. Actually, Urgent Scare's story for the first 3 years was a small town that got infected by the "virus". You had to go through the hospital and the National Guard to get your inoculation. This year they lost the "small town" part and went with just the hospital. KSF's Virus Z was essentially a nod to US, taking on more of the small town story.
  6. This is why I have a waterproof armband for my phone, and a waterproof case for my keys, pass, cards, cash and anything else I need to carry. I do leave my clothes and towel near the wave pool in a bag that I tie obnoxiously quite a few times. I NEVER EVER leave my valuables, I ALWAYS have them on me. The clothes and stuff are mostly replaceable so I don't mind as much. But this is the reason some people call me overprotective of my stuff.
  7. I do realize the consequences and I highly doubt I will ever fall out of love it it.. I have a lot of good memories from it and every time I'd see it it would be a nice reminder. I'm getting it on my ankle and I doubt people would really recognize it where I will be moving to next year so the questions will not even be an issue. I always think things through before I do something like this. Plus if someone said that Beast is awful, they haven't rode it in the right seats nor at night. Response from an Optimist.
  8. Actually, I can fall asleep on Beast, I'm that comfortable with the ride.
  9. Thanks guys, you have no idea how much this means to me! I appriciate it more than you will know! I will post pictures when done! I'm also planning a Haunt Tattoo, I just need to design it. The reason I'm getting a pawprint is because Beast means a lot to me and it holds a very special place in my heart. <3 <3 Thanks again~!!
  10. Hello KIC! It's me again! I'm going to be getting a very important tattoo and I need a good clear shot of The Beast Paw prints that used to be on the ground. If anyone has shots of them I would very much appreciate it!
  11. Just to let you know, you just made my day! CAN'T WAIT!!
  12. Actually Terpy, I would have to disagree with you. (Sorry! ) The main reason Dominion and Carowinds lost their Steam trains, pointed out by Engineer Steve during the Train Tour, was due to the fact that those areas do not have such a strong engineering core as we do here in Cincinnati. If you look all around you there are so many engineering facilities around here, not just GE, but there are riverboats and other things too. If it wasn't for the first 10 years with the engineers they had, we would not have our beautiful steam engines. I wish people would see what a hidden gem our little train is and what a piece of KI history it is too!
  13. I don't know if this is what they use in The Crypt, but I know Universal Orlando always uses Midnight Syndicate work for their Halloween Horror Nights event. They make awesome mood music. It's genuinely creepy and has that "distant, mysterious" sound that's very reminiscent of old-time horror movies. I never knew that that's what they used in The Crypt, but if you heard some Crypt music at Universal, then it must be, since Midnight Syndicate is pretty much all that they use! I encourage you to browse their site and look for the Crypt's music. Doubtlessly, Kings Island bought just one of their CDs and has it play on repeat in the queue, so if you find which one you can enlighten us all and get your answer! http://www.midnightsyndicate.com/ Happy h(a)unting! EDIT: Browsing their site, I did find that Kings Island and Cedar Point are both registered attractions that use Midnight Syndicate music! Very cool. To be honest, I might even contact Guest Relations with an email. I don't see why they wouldn't tell you which CD it is, and there's no way to sample songs on their site. So if you really want to get your hands on Universal's song, email them and ask which CD it's from. Thanks so much! I have found out that it is Midnight Syndicate's Out of The Darkness CD! I am pleased now.
  14. Hey KIC! I have a really good question for you guys because I have been wondering this for a while now~ Does anybody know what songs they play in the queue? Especially the songs used in Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights 16 Opening ceremonies: Video If anybody can tell me what they are.. I would be incredibly happy.
  15. A few of my personal favorites~ The KI&MVRR isn't a "Real" train. The Crypt is a Roller coaster The Beast is the coaster that is shut down and the Son of Beast is still running. King Cobra will be put back into it's place. (I heard that one last time I was in the park, I tried so hard not to giggle)
