  1. I rode it on opening day and was enjoying myself until I realized the gondola was being lowered and stopped. I asked myself "Is that really it"? If the program has become this bad, than I must agree with others. The Crypt has become the Disaster Transport of flat rides...
  2. I haven't gone through all of the posts here, so forgive me if I say things people have already said. I want to see signs out in front of each thrill ride to tell the guests how long the line is. I know you can ask the host, but they can be wrong at times. I know the signs can be too, but I'd just like to look at it without feeling the need to ask... I really think The Crypt should get some more work done on it as far as theming goes. It is now just your average Top Spin in the dark...I want to see that Tomb Raider type theming back and maybe even a Cedar Fair made pre show. Wouldn't that be interesting? That's really all I have for now...Otherwise, I love Kings Island for what it is.
  3. Yes, of course. But there's really not much else to show. All there is left to do is complete the site work around the station and entrace. Other than that, the ride is up and ready to go. As for the repainting of Vortex, I think it will brighten it up a little and possibly be a bit more attracting.
  4. After driving eight hours just to get to Kings Island for Diamondback, I'm quite frankly not going to care how long the line is. I'm going to take precautions, of course but when I get there early in the morning I'll be at my best trying to get to the line as quickly as possible, but at the same time I want to be able to have a good time with my friends.
  5. You can bet I'll be there. I'll probably arrive an hour or more before the main gate opens. I might wear my Cedar Point - Cameron shirt I customized while there, in case any of you KICentralers want to meet a TPOLer
  6. Very cool. I especially liked the footage of Eiffel Tower and Racer's construction.
  7. This is just my two cents. Would you drive eight hours to Six Flags Over Georgia to be horribly disappointed? I don't think you would want to. On this past Sunday, I went. Rain policy is that all rides close if there is heavy rain, lightning, or high winds. It was very, very lightly sprinkling out. Not one coaster or flat ride was open and they closed the whole park at noon, with no warning at all and no refund. We tried to get our refund, but we were escorted out of the park by the security and treated extremely rudely by numerous employees. Take my advice. It's not worth it...
  8. For me, it would be waiting an hour and a half for Invertigo, for what should've been a half hour wait...
  9. 1. Flight of Fear 2. Firehawk 3. The Beast 4. Invertigo 5. The Crypt
  10. I can't wait to meet everyone on Opening Day and riding Diamondback...and NOT riding Son of Beast.
  11. That was my bad, Interpreter. Brakes can break, too
  12. Yes, why are we arguing about trim breaks? Yes, they are for saftey. Yes, they shorten the airtime. They do both. By the way, this is my first time. Looking forward to seeing a lot of you on Opening Day!
