  1. Honestly, the names are okay, but some of them are straight up corny... But what can we expect from the people who created the oh-so-original names Flight Deck, Drop Tower, and Invertigo.
  2. I'm pretty sure this has already been posted somewhere else? Hmm. Well.. I do like the video They seem like a very funny couple.
  3. RailRider.... How can I even begin to explain my love for your trip reports? From the detailed descriptions, great pictures... and most importantly, your daughter! Your daughter has to be one of the cutest kids I've seen! Her facial expressions could explain the whole trip! I'm glad to see you had fun at Disneyland! One day I hope to make it out there too!
  4. Wow. That ticks me off.. They're probably going to think that everyone loves The Crypt's cycle now, even though every time I get off the Crypt people always scream "BOO! Put it in Nick U! Lame!!!! I waited in line for this?" and all other sorts of comments. Hopefully few people rides it next year so they know that nobody likes the cycle.
  5. I'm in love with the announcement video.. Now why couldn't our announcement for Diamondback be that special? With a growling box? Smoke?
  6. Diamondback may be my favorite ride, but I really really want to ride either Racer or Beast first.. I'm not exactly sure why, I just want to ride those two so badly!
  7. Wrong. There is 4,783 roller coasters in the world. You forgot one, the best one of them all! But wouldn't there be 4,784 because of Blue Two? Didn't he make another coaster? Nemo, awesome video by the way.
  8. Wow.. That's stunning, but yet it makes me kinda sad to see it sleeping like that. I don't know why. Maybe just because I miss it.
  9. I've been when I was little (7ish?), and I was too short for almost all the rides. I absolutely hated it (Loved the animals though).. (But that was because I was a thrill-seeker then) Although now they have the Jungala kid area, and a new Sesame Street kid area, alond with the animals. I'm sure it'd be just fine. I would go if I were you.. You might not have a change to go back, and SheiKra, Kumba, and Montu are all totally awesome rides.
  10. I love it! Although, I am still getting used to it.. Everytime I log on the forums I go.. 'Whoah!' Then I'm like 'Wait, I've seen this before..' *I can't change it out of italics... Help?*
  11. I'm probably on a 80%-90% chance of going to CM! at the moment. -hey that's 500 posts! -
  12. I've ridden Fire-In-The Hole, a similar ride at Silver Dollar City at Branson, Missouri. Very fun ride. And yes, I do consider it to be a coaster.. Like Jackson said, it has 3 parts where the train is propelled by gravity.
  13. Uh, the park closes primarily so it can do group business, and is open to groups many of those days, though not as many as in the past, sadly. Group business is down. I stand corrected, I knew P&G day, GE day, and the Toyota half-day thing were held during those 2-3 weeks, but I thought it was for Haunt too.. Considering that during the week is when they put the decorations up, and thats when they built Cut-throat and Slaughterhouse
  14. I think that they should change Scooby to a ride-through haunt in September. I'd like it if they did a ride in there.. Something along the lines of The Great Pumpkin or something, and then turn it into a haunt for September/October. I know that KI closes for like 2-3 weeks in September to prepare for Haunt, and they could easily do it then. They could easily use the ride for the Haunt, and have the cars go through it. Heres a few ideas for the haunt: The Production Line It could be like you are in a factory and the cars go through multiple scenes of different scary things such as: 1. Maybe some kind of Frankenstein-esque monster being created 2. People being slaughtered by machines that are supposed to be making things The Toy/Doll Factory (something to do with dolls and scary toys) Same kinda idea, but its a toy factory and scary people who look like dolls haunt the factory.. Maybe some freak took human victims and turned them into dolls... If it was just toys in general they could use that jack-in-the-box that was in Coney Mall/Maul this year.
  15. My favorite part of Haunt this year was going through Trail of Terror with a group close to 30!
  16. Beast79, that's what I'd do. I know how much I hate line jumpers and if I saw one, I wouldn't play.
  17. I've seen somebody get kicked out for wearing very very exposing clothes.
  18. These pictures all look professional!! (Especially the Disney one!) But what else could I expect from you? You make some of the best PTRs! May I ask what kind of camera you use?
  19. I'd say not knowing. It's just so fun not knowing where you're gonna go next, which was the best part of The Revenge of the Mummy and Flight of Fear. EDIT: And of course, The Beast!!
  20. Hey Ryan, it's nice to know that someone else on here favors Ice over fire besides me and ol' Terp.
  21. For me, my first ride on Son of Beast. This was back in 2006 (a week or two before the big accident *phew*) and I was 9. There was just something about the ride.. Something just didn't feel right about it. There's really not supposed to be a wooden hyper coaster. It's just too much for the wood to handle.. I just didn't feel safe on the ride. Maybe its just what its supposed to feel, being a wooden coaster and all. This was really the only time I didn't feel secure on a roller coaster. This was really the first time I had ever actually been scared of a coaster. Today, although it is actually an okay ride in the front seat, I get kind of nervous before riding it. I may sound like a coaster 'n00b' so to speak, but this is the one ride I am actually afraid of. And while I am scared of it, I will ride it if I am asked to do so. Josh, who is afraid he is becoming more of a roamer than a poster.
  22. I've only ridden the Ducks in Branson, and yes they were the original. The Herschends own Silver Dollar City as well, by the way. I enjoyed this trip report, thanks for posting it.
  23. I'm going to name my top three moments.. 1.) Is it really that obvious? My first Diamondback ride, and the wait leading up to it. The excitement in the line was just exhilerating, and I got to meet quite a few other crazed enthusiasts. The first ride was amazing, although I can't remember much about my first ride, I remember how it was. 2.) Taking my brother on his first 'big' rides. My now 6 year old brother just reached the 48' mark this spring, and so we've been taking him on all the 'big' rides. The Beast, The Racer, BLSC, Flight Deck, Adventure Express, and even... Drop Tower. I remember him getting off his first Racer ride, and he told me.. "That was some ride!" It really made me happy to think I get to share these experiences with him. He is so excited about the fact he is now a 'ride warrior' 3.) Getting my friend Josh on The Beast for the first time. My friend Josh hated roller coasters. I was nagging him the whooooole entire day, and then he finally gave in and rode The Beast. He loved it, of course, and now rides it every time he goes. 2009 was by far my favorite KI season EVER. With the addition of arguably one of the best roller coasters ever, sharing my favorite thing with others, and many many other additions and changes to the park, I give 2009 the award of being my favorite seasons. Hands. Down. Or maybe hands up if you prefer. Ride on!
