  1. I love the photos, thanks for posting. My uncle, took his 8mm movie camera on The Racer, and filmed the action. of course he had problems holding the camera still. I also think he filmed a little around the park, and maybe filming a show. Sorry I can't recall. He had it transferred to VHS, back in the 80s. Sadly, I don't own a VCR any longer. I need to ask him if he still has it, and maybe get it transferred once again to DVD. I will keep you guys posted.
  2. Someone told me that they were running The Beast with reversed trains. I first thought, that might be fun, but then my brain kicked in and I thought, That might be a little rough. Not knowing whats coming up next. Funny rumor though?
  3. I may have an extra view master. I will find out soon. It's a new school one. I believe it's a spongebob one. If I can find it you can have it. just pay for me to mail it to you.
  4. I live it Ohio, but work in Huntington. I haven't heard of anything like that, but that doesn't mean anything I hope to God, Wal-Mart is not gonna buy them out, because that means they will tear down Camden Park and put another "Super store" in it's place.. I really hope this is not true. BTW, I know, just because Wal-Mart buys them out, doesn't mean that they will tear it down.
  5. Straight trade: KI's Crypt for Kings Dominion's Crypt. 100x better.
  6. Thank you. I wasn't sure if it was a virus, or what?
  7. I have a Warning Unexpected character in input. It is above the forum topics. It has a /home/dane186/public_html/forums. It looks like a forum topic, but unable to "click" on the actual forum. Thank goodness. BTW, I didn't try, but I ran my cursor over it, to see if it even "highlights" like I could possibly click on it. There are two like this, above the actual forums.
  8. Why is the Whip at Camden Park only running at a third speed? I can't imagine it going a whole lot faster. Man, that would be a ton of fun. I guess lawsuits ruin the fun every time.
  9. Some commented that " They wouldn't stand in a line that long for Vortex" Those pictures were from many, many years ago when the ride was new. I remember waiting almost 4 hours for The Beast, when it was in it's first few seasons. I also recall, when in line for The Beast (at night), I was in high school, the college kids would be drunk, chanting "Bring on The Beast" while in the Cue house. It got all the patrons revved up to ride. This seems somewhat silly now, but back then it was fun.
  10. Unless it's a safety issue with the current coaster trains, Coney Island should leave them alone.
  11. I absolutely love this coaster. It never gets old for me. My favorite experience was, several years ago. My last ride of the day is The Beast at night. It had been a hot and muggy day. The temperature had hovered around the 90s. My best friend and I got in line around 9:45, and it broke loose in a downpour. We waited out the rain and boarded around 10;30 The temperature must have dropped, because the fog was so thick, there was zero visibility (no kidding) Pitch black and thick fog. The Beast seemed to be in rare form, the speed seemed faster than I have ever experienced. When we hit the second lift hill, you could not even see the Eifel Tower. The Beast trains gained moumentum as it hit the double helix, it felt like the cars were gonna fly off the track. That was my favorite experience on The Beast.
  12. Ride it at Geauga Lake, where the ride ops actually speed things along. LOL Sorry. I only try to ride it one time a trip. The ride-ops are so slow loading and unloading. I don't know why? My brother and I went several times to Geauga lake and only had a maximum of 30 mins of wait time. This was even during busy time during the summer. Maybe, Geauga Lake was never as busy as Kings Island? Not sure?? I went to Kings Island, second week of June and rode Diamondback (back to back) and only took just under an hour. Went over to Firehawk and waited almost 2 hours. I realize ride capasity and what not, but 2 hours?? Ride ops were moving at a snails pace. Changes are needed.
  13. This ride is no longer at Kings Island, but I loved the Bayern Curve.
  14. Yes, overhaul the SOB with the same as Texas Giant received. Also, add the loop back, with the steel re-track.
  15. Well, I take back my original answer. While watching assorted HB cartoon clips on YouTube, I found another dog that I somehow overlooked (possibly because he's the last one listed on that site). I'm now thinking that's likely Precious Pupp: That would also explain the "thing on his head" question. I have no idea who that other dog is. Was this dog Mutley? I cannot remember from what cartoon, he was on.
  16. Maybe the Crypt building could be used for a nice sit down restaurant?
  17. I would love to attend one year and experience the fun. My Uncle is gay and I am proud of him. He is like my bigger brother that I never had. He would take me and my brother and sister every year to Kings Island we had a blast. He always encouraged me even through my adulthood, the man would give the last dollar in his pocket if you asked for it. He is my great friend. We travel once a year to another theme park, to experience something new. We started two years ago. Our last trips have been Kennywood, and Kings Dominion. I may try to attend this year, and suprise him by purchasing his ticket for the event, who knows?
  18. A world record floorless coaster, or a Intamin coaster like Fahrenheit at Hershey Park, would be nice.
  19. Either get over Son of Beast and fix the darn thing. Maybe build a Gravity Group, dueling/racing coaster. Like the one overseas with the "high five" element.
  20. I am excited for this. I am 6'4" and The Cedar Creek Mine Ride cars "lack" leg room for me
  21. I saw that too. Any info on the target?
  22. He was in the short 5 minute type cartoons. I have such fond memories of watching tons of Hanna-Barbera cartoons on WTTV back in the day. Kids of today really missed out not being able to sit down every day to watch cartoons with a host who introduced the cartoons...read letters from the viewers... My favorite was Cowboy Bob at lunch-time...there was also Janie in the mornings before school. Good times. (Which I am guessing Avatar, IndyGuy4KI 7 many others on here can attest too.) Growing up, I watched Mr. Cartoon on WSAZ out of Huntington, WV. I don't think he showed any H-B cartoons. I remember seeing lot of Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Popeye, and Mighty Mouse on his show. Fond memories. I grew up in Huntington too. I now live across the river in Proctorville. I loved Mr. Cartoon. My uncle, who owns Magic Makers Costumes, remade "Beeper" costume, when it needed updating. For those who do not know, Beeper was a mascot character in the vain of the Banana Splits. I wish I had a photo to share.
  23. Condor videos I found were OK, but I found a similar video with a ride called Ikarus, not sure though, looks the same, not sure
