  1. Maybe this will help. My trip to ride The Beast at closing time for the front seat, people kept coming up to the Que-house and trying to get the front seat, but as closing time arrived, the last 10-12 ,trains guests were required to fill up all remaining empty seats to cycle the rest of the visitors. I was the last rider of the day, and the others waiting for the front seat were just out of luck. This happened to me back in June and the park was semi-busy. Hope this helps a little.........
  2. Sorry that I did not read all 22 pages of comments, but Is the name of the ride going to be called WindSeeker, or is this just a generic name for the ride?
  3. I would love to see a few "Classic rides" make a come back. Rotor, Bayern Kurve, Der spinning kegger(OOPS) I hope that is the real name. The Bayern Kurve was great for getting me ready for coasters. I know this was not a coaster, but it was a high-speed thrill ride with some fun g force. Kennywood brought this back, so KI should follow.
  4. On Youtube, I just saw a animated video for what is advertised as "Three new coasters" for 2011. First off was a revamped Superman Escape running backwards, second is what seems to be a Green Lantern themed Zac-Spin coaster and not much more. The video states Six Flags regains the Coaster Crown. with 18 coasters. Only two coasters were covered in the video, but I am assuming they are including the Mr. Six coaster?? Sorry that I do not have a link for you guys but, I researched at RCDB.com and there was no mention of a "Green Lantern" Zac-spin. I am not sure where to start except, asking questions at this forum. !..Superman Escape (backwards) is not a new coaster, just a revamped concept 2. How about the Green Lantern? I have not heard any news of this? 3. Mr. Six's dance coaster? I guess this is the only true new coaster? I am pretty sure this may not be a Six Flags approved video, I could be wrong(LOL)
  5. I would love to see the Texas Giant Re-do for SOB. The pictures I saw on Screamscape look pretty cool. Trains are also interesting. If they ever tear down SOB, I would love a Gravity Group Woodie that tops the likes of The Voyage, and Hades. It needs to be a little more extreme than the forementioned coasters. No wooden coaster, a nice Giga like the Intimidator 305, or a cool floorless.
  6. I wish someone would save this coaster. Just can't seem to believe it. Cedar Fair should step up, and put it in one of their parks. Sorry, not excited to see a WindSeeker at every park CF owns. Big Dipper would make a great addition to Kings Island. WOW what a bunch of random thoughts
  7. Goodnight, I am finished with this subject. Thanks everyone and again I'm sorry for causing a stir. T
  8. Maybe we can close this topic. Sorry to cause such a stir, but the as I said "The second photo looks real" Fool me, did it not? It did give us something to do ; ) I would think the concrete footers are the only thing started so far.(I would imagine)
  9. Ki fan 1980, thanks, it must be a computer generated photo. How else could this be? That second photo looks real(maybe) LOL
  10. Is it possible the coaster started construction Aug of 2009? not 2010, this would make more sense, since they are testing the Timberliners The press release is from 2010. I remember well the day it was announced. So are you telling me its finished in 7 weeks?(except for testing) It seems impossible.
  11. Is it possible the coaster started construction Aug of 2009? not 2010, this would make more sense, since they are testing the Timberliners
  12. Is the picture a fake, or am I not getting it? Is it an artist's rendition or what? If the construction started on Aug 9th of this year, they must have one incredible construction crew.
  13. I am not sure when the trains started testing for The Voyage, but I do recall hearing about it, I guess the end of May, or early June. It seems weird to already see those Timberliners testing on Twister when they are not quite ready for The Voyage. Do you know when construction started for Twister? Its circuit is finished already and its only September.
  14. Sorry for not doing more research, but it is weird to see Timberliners running on that coaster, when The Voyage looks to be at the same stage as Twister. I also see it is to open in 2011, but it seems the Twister is close to being finished since the Timberliner train is testing in that picture.
  15. I was browsing RCDB today and saw a picture of what seems to be Timberliners on another coaster. Go to rcdb.com and search-Grona Lund in Stockholm Sweden. The coaster is the Twister, which is a Gravity Group coaster. Look at picture number 2 and tell me what you guys think. The picture is at the wrong angle, but it does seem to look like the Timberliner that will soon to be on The Voyage.
  16. I like to collect coaster shirts, I have a Beast, SOB, Diamondback, a shirt the says "Paramount Lumber Company" (when its all wood, its all good) with outlines of trees. Volcano the blast coaster and a Maverick tee. I love the coaster graphics, as long as it looks cool.
  17. I would love to see a nice woodie twister, or something bigger and badder than the Voyage.
  18. 1. Bayern Curve 2. Antique Cars 3. Enchanted Theater 4. Zodiac 5. Rotor
  19. My home park is Camden Park, My son and I visited last Saturday. He rode the Big Dipper for the first time. He loved it. The park itself was pretty clean, except for a few lazy people who missed the garbage cans just feet away. It is a rare small park that allows me to ride their flat rides. The scrambler is faster than any other than I have rode in the past. The ride op turned the ride on for at least 3 mins, slowed it down the cranked it up another 2-3 mins, then slowed it down, and another ride op took over and we rode it about another 3-4 mins. I swear it seemed like we were on the scrambler for 10 full minutes. My step-sister and her son agreed on the long ride cycle. The pronto-pup(corn dog) is the best in the business, I love the fact that they make 'em "home-made" not the frozen style that some parks serve. The only thing I wish Camden Park would do is to paint more often. My mother and myself commented that the park needed a little "TLC" that's all.
  20. Do you live in or around Cincy? My home park is Camden Park, I can be there in about 20 mins. Big Dipper was my/and my son's first coaster.
  21. Hey, congrats, me too. My son just rode his first big coaster, the Big Dipper at Camden Park. Daddy was thrilled, he just smiled and ran over to his grandma telling her all about his first trip. My son took a little longer to get over his fear, he is almost 10 now. It took me about the same age to ride The Racers at KI.(My mom had to pay me)LOL. My trip home he said, when are we going to Kings Island to do some more coasters. I live three hours away so, it will probably be next year. This will give me a drive to keep me going thru the winter months, knowing I will take him in early June.
  22. I do remember shopping with my wife at the outlet mall between Cincy and Columbus and the wind was horrible, this was during construction of SOB. When we arrived home, I heard on local news that there was a partial collapse of SOB(I believe in was the lift hill?) Is this the time you guys were talking about, not sure what happened exactly?
