I just wanted to slide in and say thank you to all of the associates for the great work they put in Friday night, many things made it an unforgettable night and the effort and happy smiles of every associate was certainly noticed!  Also, I want to thank the person who made the decision to have the colors of the lights on the buildings on I Street, as well as the string lights in Coney Mall changed to represent our community for the night, little simple gestures such as that are greatly appreciated and I got some incredible pics of the lighting with my ProMax.

i'll eventually make it to that night one of these years. it makes me happy to know that you had a wonderful pride night. when is next years so i can at least try and plan to go?

  2. nothing upsets me more than when you go to something that's billed with animatronics and static props only to see a plywood cutout that may/mayn't be well painted but its appearance is just flat on an actuators to make it pop out from where its hiding. and im also not a fan of shooters cause i feel that takes away from the experience. what if something with significance is supposed to pop out and it doesn't cause you missed the target.

My best advice: Just do it! They’ll likely have you do a scream (Go for long and loud), and improvise any sort of character. When I did mine 7 years ago I did a zombie, and they put me in KillMart.

returners usually get a say on where unless you wait till the last dogs dead and then they put ya where they need ya.

Good. That’s one thing that always bugged me when they “haunted” too early. I like how they are focusing on the sets for shows right now. Personally I wish none of this appeared till after this weekend. I know it’s a staffing thing, but I really think the park looks much cleaner without the mixing of seasonal stuff.

sounds like someone has a case of the mondays. the way i see things is if xmas can overtake halloween, then halloween can overtake 4th of july. this coming from someone whos a cross between a grinch and a snow miser with a dash of scrooge.

I like the idea of German explorers tying into Adventure Express. It’s a shame the Skywarp model never really took off, you could’ve put one in the former Slingshot location and name it the Bavarian Pretzel.

I heard the biggest complaint when the one that did get built for six flags would run was loud noise.

I can’t see with the age, large footprint and infrastructure needed they would simply move an existing ride (with not a huge popularity at that)

you have a point, but just saying that the ride theme wise would fit better over there than its current location. sure, once upon a time that wasnt true as amazon falls fit in with the safari theme of the area and then the later rename to congo falls cause of paramount. but lets face it, does a river drop ride really fit in with the Action Zone theme?

rivertown imo needs more river themed rides. yes there's wwc, and the log flume don't count as that's claimed and technically in Planet Snoopy. while it would take away the haunt attraction. i would love to see the big brown box go away and something like kckc to come back to the area.

maybe transfering congo falls over to rivertown where the big brown box is, retheme it to like a giant waterfall. and that opens Action Zone for a potential new flat ride.

It would be awesome if Rivertown also got a makeover like Jungle X-Pedition or Aeronautica Landing, but I would want the area to keep its theme and name which could potentially make it harder to advertise as an all-new area.

come discover the FASCINATION with Atlantic city...   ...oops, thats already taken...

Here’s some concept art that I made for a possible Phantom Theater revival. I feel like there’s a strong chance of the ride being reimagined after the success of Encore.

I feel like it would likely be placed inside the Boo Blasters building in order to save money on a new ride system/building. This may be wishful thinking on my part, but I think that there’s a chance the practical show scenes from the original could be modernized and reimagined instead of relying on screens or a shooter element. I also feel like a revival could include animatronics, but with less movement compared to the originals.

    just please, no plywood cut-outs...

While Ill agree with the sad state of affairs with boo hill, needing rethemed, I don’t think phantom theater would make a good fit in Planet Snoopy.

sorry for the double post. but maybe something like this instead:

  12. there's multiple different factors to this not just in year by year but night by night. it boils down

1-to the individuals like and preferences

2-the actors and there abilities that night

3-the scenes and how frequently you have been through same attraction to see said scenes

there's more I can list but those are top 3. overall someone's terrible could be someone else's fantastic.

Fully agreed. Leave it to those of us who are trained to do it as our jobs. Not only is it annoying to other guests, but you're putting yourself in danger by attempting to scare people. Some people react violently when you scare them, and if you're not trained on how to deal with that, it can end badly for you, and I've seen it happen many times. I'd even change it to "Don't try to scare anyone". Trying to scare the actors just makes you look foolish when it inevitably doesn't work, or you get security called on you.

What really gets me is when people buy them and then either don't have them on, or hide them under their shirt, and then get all up in my face when I scare them because they/their kids didn't have the necklace visible.

Another reason I retired. I got a long list of reasons.

I agree Action Zone needs an overhaul, and removing Timberwolf would really give Kings Island a lot of options. However, I don’t think it needs to be removed until the park is ready to do something in that area which will probably be a while since I assume Vortex will be replaced first.

there is a lot of land over that way. but i have a sinking suspicion about rumors with that area.
