Why hello there, KIC. It's me again. For some of you, after this upcoming weekend of riding those shiny new Larson flying scooters at Kings Island, you'll find yourselves riding the world's first launched wing rider. For those of you in that boat, I've a favor to ask of you should you be interested. Last year I produced a documentary for Banshee, which for the sake of a shameless plug, can be found here: I'm following that documentary up with a new one. And while I rode Fury 325 last weekend (as you should too), making a documentary for it just didn't fit the bill. That's when I noticed the upcoming media day event for Thunderbird at Holiday World. And wouldn't ya know it, this seems like a great opportunity. It's called Wings of Steel, and covers different aspects of the ride such as it being the park's first major steel coaster and the nation's first launched wing coaster. It will be in the same vain as that aforementioned Banshee documentary, and will release sometime in May. What does all of this mean? -- I need interviews from you guys! Frozen is a fad.

Lots of cynicism here, but most of it seems to come from what I refer to as "stock spieling". So to speak, basic spiels that feature no creativity or real point to them other than to prevent silence. I don't like stock spieling. It's repetitive, and as mentioned prior, a bit annoying. This is especially true if you visit often and hear the same things over and over. Spieling shouldn't be sarcastic (unless it's being performed properly, as an obvious joke), repetitive, or annoying. Spiels should instead be engaging, memorable, and useful. Gauge those waiting in line before spouting off some boilerplate joke, and know what you're there to do. Only make jokes if you know they work, and keep safety at the highest of priorities. Perhaps it's just bias speaking, but those I know who operate rides who have a genuine passion and enjoyment for what they're doing seem to understand this. However, a lot of these guidelines seem to be lost.

This article would not have been written had the two incidents at FOF not occurred.

This is a bit late, but I've been busy and hadn't been able to do it earlier. For anyone interested, I did a commentary of sorts regarding some tidbits as to how this was made.

Now that Scream Like a Banshee is complete, I'm excited to announce that my next project will be an in-depth documentary about this giant noodle.

Thank you everyone for the comments! Again, it's far from perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out. Your comments mean a lot. They keep me going when certain goals seem difficult or otherwise unattainable. Discouragement doesn't last long when I read these. I really, really do appreciate them.

Hello there, I haven't been around KIC for a good while now, but that doesn't mean I still don't keep up with the park. Kings Island is a place I've known very well for a good portion of my life thus far, so needless to say, I was excited as pretty much everyone else when Banshee opened to the public this past weekend. As a final project in my digital field production course for class, I was prompted to create a short documentary. And at this point in the year, why not create a short documentary about Banshee? I would like to share it with everyone here. It's titled "Scream Like a Banshee". Anyone who puts an apostrophe in Kings Island should be put in prison without parole.

Most employees would (should) have no problem with this, whether that be at Kings Island or anywhere else. It's an employees job (especially at Kings Island) to make sure you're having a wonderful time on not only the rides but to also make sure they provide excellent guest service, safely of course. That being said no employee should have a problem talking with any guest, as long as you're not distracting them they'll not hesitate to ask you how your day is and answer some questions.Interacting with guests is something most amusement parks stress to their employees, it's a huge part of their job. Oops.

Without the flag or giant "TEXAS", of course.
