  1. Great TPR I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while. Of course this is because I know how true this statement is. Did you do the dining plan? I loved the simplicity of it and would never dream of going to Disney without staying onsite and getting the DDP.
  2. I have to agree that I305v2 is a much improved ride then any of the versions I rode last year. IMO it is still only the 3 best coaster in the park and is no where close to my top 10. I guess the thing that I prefer about Millie is the since of going somewhere. I305 has a extremely small footprint for a coaster of its size. I think that adding some landscaping might help with this but only time will tell.
  3. You don't buy fastpasses at Disney!!!! Everyone with a ticket or a room key can get them. It is explained in every park map. IMO Disney requires a bit of planning especially if your doing multiple parks in one day or going during spring break. You did both and from what I have read just tried to wing it.
  4. Fly-o-plane is fun if you get it spinning, painful if you don't.
  5. We really enjoyed Lake Winnie last year. The park is not far off of I-75 just south of Chattanooga, Tn. We did it last year as part of a LW, SFOG, CW trip.
  6. I never got to ride the SFNE Cyclone in its former profile, but it still is a great airtime machine in the back car. Going over the lift hill you fell like your going to be thrown out of the train.
  7. I have never worn a habit on a roller coaster, so I guess I can't change what I have never done. :0
  8. I love historic photos. I love amusement parks. When the two come together I have to share. This is the Shoot-the-Chutes at White City in Louisville. These were mainstay rides at most early twentieth century parks. Also of note it the Figure Eight side friction coaster to the right. Check out Shorpy for other wonderful photos from the past. BTW, most of these photos are from the Library of Congress collection that they clean up and digitally adjust to improve the image quality.
  9. LOL, your darned if you do, darned if you don't when it comes to bringing back an old thread. Give the guy a break.
  10. We went to KI every year from 1972 though the mid 80s and then still on a regular basis after that. We rode the LCS monorail exactly once. The reason was the up-charge. My dad had to pay for 7 of us. Money was tight and the day trip to KI was our vacation most years. I remember mom making meatloaf and putting hot bricks in the cooler to keep it hot. This was the only way we could go. I am sure there are many families in the same situation today. A small flat like Skyflyer etc is easy to walk by and dream about how cool it would be to ride, but a hyped attraction like Dinosaurs Alive will be tough for these families to avoid.
  11. I did have an idea to balance things out a bit. What if they made this part of the morning ERT and had it free for GP/PP holders. Then they could do an up-charge the rest of the day. Still not happy about the up-charge. I understand the up-charges on the skycoaster and slingshot since they are low capacity rides. This on the other hand can handle huge amounts of people. The only reasoning I can see for it being an up-charge is if Dinosaurs Unearthed has some kind of deal with KI that the park isn't paying for the exhibit but collects the up-charge.
  12. The $5 up-charge will get me in once, but not multiple times. When you have a family those up-charges get multiplied and can make a real dent in the wallet. I could see this being added as a free attraction during morning ERT then charging the rest of the day.
  13. So you haven't even set foot in the park not alone the Dino walk through but you have already decided that either a coaster or a flat would be better. I would suggest giving it a chance before passing judgement. I suppose you can tell if a coaster is great or sucks from a POV too.
  14. Those photos are from their Calgary exhibit. For those of you that don't know, Calgary is in Canada.
  15. I don't think this will be a permanent exhibit. My guess is that it won't be here for 2012. I am actually more excited about this now then I was an hour ago. As to the upkeep, it looks like this is a package that would have the company dealing with it not KI.
  16. This is what I think is coming to KI http://www.dinosaursunearthed.com/ Check out the gallery page and look at the video titled Dinosaurs Alive. This could actually be pretty cool.
  17. The photo with the plans has the letters "PLAZ" on it as in plaza. Dino Plaza maybe?
  18. Did anyone notice the photo on his monitor in the background of the photo? It was also in part of the teaser video. Don't know if this is a clue, but I wouldn't be surprised it was.
  19. I think that an Intamin water ride similar to Shoot the Rapids but Dino themed could fit most of the clues. "Turn back the clock on thrill" could also refer to the keeton keelboats. The only thing that doesn't fit is the timeline if this __________ is to be open in 2011. It now says "test - Don test run - Do Not Publish!"
  20. It was at the Ohio State Fair last year. I rode it with KICoaster Girl and StalkerChick.
  21. I keep a flat key to the car in my wallet. If your wanting to go minimal, take your car key off the ring and leave the rest in the car. Then undo your shoe lace a bit and loop the lace through the key then back through the shoe before tying your shoe.
  22. 200-400 vendors serving 1000 people is not a good ratio at all. If you want to get that many vendors you need to have 10-20 times the number of customers.
  23. Keith, if you have a Disney Visa, there is a special meet and great with 2-5 of the fab 5 at Epcot. This is so much better then the normal meeting places. With the Visa one, you have them all to yourself for quite a while longer then you get at the other character spots.
