I went Friday from three to close, and all day yesterday and only noticed one ride down. Delirium was down for about an hour or so. Other than that, everything seemed to operate normal.

Anything made of wood.

They're all working.

Random crane by Vortex!

RCDB isn't always correct.

off topic, but how do i become a ride enthusiast? someone who gets paid to ride rides, and stuff?
The other runs a huge internet site with a club attached, and makes bigtime money on his trips.
And he has the maturity of a 13 year old. Which is really sad, lol.

Are you a 1960's Lousiana baptist church preacher? I read your post and you sounded like one.

Mr. Helbig is obviously trolling us.

If I can find a ride and some where to stay, I will be going to HoliWood nights. That's about it...

Because we all know that a coaster count is the prime reason that that park would install a coaster right?
Also, about that topography map....that area (particularly the bit closest to X-Base) is both severely forested and very hilly.
The area they're "planning" on (inside the the pink lines) is actually somewhat flat.

I had a feeling someone would point that out! lol

Vortex has been sinking since 1984.

That footprint was from the magical dinosaur who's going around stomping out the dreams of fanbois who actually think SOB will ever run again or was good in the first place.
I love you.

It's better to be right than to be wrong.

It's track for Reptile cage!

I will be attending Holiwood nights instead:)

There is a reason for everything. That reason is unknown, and the people who do know... will not share.

Seriously? With all that lumber? SoB is a massive structure. The newer steel models, however... now THOSE look crazy to me. See: Behemoth @ CW. Or even Diamondback.
IDK to me sob seems fragile. On the dip right before the big drop ever see it flex? I can see it from the parking lot. I know its supposed to do it but it just makes it seem fragile to me.
I'm guessing you haven't seen Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta. That sway is nothing compared to Son of Beast's.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but did Will Koch not want the Voyage to have a loop in it, the Gravity Group said no.
To my knowledge, Will Koch did not want Voyage to have a loop in it. If he had, and Gravity Group would not do it, knowing Will Koch, he would have found someone who would have done it...
I trust you, just thought someone had found an article in German, and when translated into English it talked about how the Voyage at Holiday World was designed to have a loop in it, after President Will Koch rode Son of Beast and thought they could do better.

Site has some cool pictures! It's a good article, might wanna translate it and read through it.

Chad Miller was also an engineer for the fruitful cooperation, the best starting point, every inch of the wood (rail) to celebrate lindwurm normal. Even after the publication of the plans in the summer of 2005 the web at various sites was altered. Other characters have it but not make it into the crazy layout of The Voyage, "The thought looping it has yet to figure - a corkscrew - has not been realized, but exceeded all our expectations Voyage, " says Paula Werne. -

Meant to drop its riders vertically, it will soon after follow up that adrenaline rush by turning them face down as they skim a mere 2 feet above the ground. What you see here is the first fully vertical wooden roller coaster track known as the Reverse Cowgirl, where it was designed by Mike Nawrot and Romain Teil. Fret not about safety, since you will have your backs strapped to the cart, although it won't hurt to increase that insurance premium of yours whether you are extremely paranoid and want to remain on the safe side of things.

Vortex's Trains

Actually, every lead axle is extremely heavy to make up for the weight that is not there. Without that weight, the axle could not effectively steer the train and would slip. There are two axles in the 'zero car'. The front axle can roll while the rear axle I believe helps turn the train. The other cars on the train can roll, pitch, and yaw. Which is pretty much the ability to rotate along the Z-axis(longitudinal axis), X-axis(rotation on lateral axis),and Y -axis(rotation on vertical axis) .
May sound a little crazy... lol.
