I find it really interesting that after Mike Koontz became GM/VP of KI we're getting all these awesome renovations. Truly feels as if we've got someone in leadership that really cares about the park, the history and the like.

I'm guessing that the Fireworks show will be similar to last year with a specific song set for the fireworks/fountains and lights (although last year the fountains weren't really a part of it). I truly could see that this person is composing music for either the parade or for the fountain show(s).

I could have swore Behemoth that opened in '08 was the one that started that trend...with DB following in '09....followed by Intimidator in '10 and Shambhala in '12. The same year Shambhala opened, B&M brought their first version of a Giga Coaster with Leviathan, utilizing the 4-across seating, Fury 325 also utilized the 4-across seating. The most recent hyper, Mako, opened in 2016 with the 4-across seating as well.

That's interesting! Maybe the 79 was the original plan for removal. I love the "That's How I Roll" pin. It'll be nice to get SOB merch again, even if it's just a pin.

At one point, I heard that it was to cut down on cost for the stations....the longer the train (with the stadium style seating) the longer the station has to be.

I purposely make purchases in the park when I visit...whether small or big. I like to think my purchases go toward the next Capital project, whether or not it does.

People that know what they're talking about would dispute what you're talking about. Also, provide your source for CGA's hyper being "canned due to Railblazer's poor performance."

Doubtful we'd get a wing coaster anytime soon with GateKeeper being a big foot traffic draw at CP. Doubtful we'd get a flyer after just removing one. What exactly are they supposed to get out of those two rides you mentioned? Are they supposed to get a certificate that says "Congratulations! Your Investment Was Worth It! Way To Go Gang!" It's laughable that you think that Kings Island is a fairly stagnant park...if it were stagnant they wouldn't continue to invest in the park....the park would continue to be busy throughout the season. Please provide proof for these.

It wasn't me talking about it, but Kings Dominion had their Pass Holder Preview yesterday....the fountains were empty, which is where this picture came from.

Wouldn't most of that already be in place? They don't have to be the same set up right?

The launch on the ride is pretty forward moving. It gets the job done. Nothing on this coaster is unimpressive. The boost in the middle of the ride is fun going up hill and being launched again.

It’s a ton of fun! Of course, I’m not snobby about rides, I enjoy them for what they are. The launch barn is cool, great theming. The hangtime is amazing! At night it feels more like Maverick’s wild turns. Great addition to the park.
