  1. Thanks to both of you. This is very helpful info!
  2. My wife, son, and his girlfriend are planning to visit the park later today. With the gate cost of $50 we obviously want to purchase the online $28 passes online and bring those. However, my son and I plan to also get season passes for 2011, which include 1 day for 2010. My first (dumb) question is this: Is the location of the season pass processing outside the gates, such that we could buy our 2011 passes and then use the single 2010 included day for this evening? I'd hate to be told it can't happen and then be stuck paying the gate price for this evening. My second dumb question is this: Is there a difference between the Howl-O-Fest Saturday ticket and the Halloween Haunt Saturday ticket? Both links have the same price but appear to be separate ticket types? My third dumb question is this: Does anyone have a good feel for how much time I should plan to add for season pass processing? Of course, with two others going who won't be getting season passes I'd like to minimize the time they have to wait for us by arriving at a time when we can get through the process quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We're hoping to have a fun evening but would like to take advantage of the available deals. I think I'm done with the dumb questions for now.
  3. We had already made the decision to never ride it again. When it first opened up it had too much jerking and not enough "wow" factor for me, but I continued to fit it into my park visit routine. After modification I rarely rode it because it simply got worse in my mind. I rode it twice this year and after the second run I decided I would never ride it again. It's simply not any fun to me. I love The Beast but I consider SOB to simply be a poorly (re)designed coaster. The ride is just a jerky mess. While I won't join the chants of "tear it down' or "burn it", I wouldn't miss it if it never opened back up. On the contrary, long lines at SOB means those people aren't taking up space in the lines for coasters I do want to ride.
  4. These may be old hat to some of you, but I heard both of these from The Beast crew today: 1. "Kings Island, where else?...Actually I can think of a few other places, but for marketing purposes we'll say No Where!" 2. "Sit down and first fasten your seat belt. If you aren't sure how to do this, just imagine yourself in a car...this is very similar."
  5. We've ridden nearly everything we wanted today and only encountered a few lines worth noting. I honestly don't think it's bad at all.
