  1. Or they could subtly imply a relationship to the River Styx by calling it "Boat on a River". But my Crystal Ball informed me that to expect that is just a Grand Illusion. And to expect them to change that ride too after just changing The Bat, you're just Fooling Yourself, and if it doesn't happen, you won't be having The Best of Times.

And I think this post has established that I have Too Much Time on my Hands.

    Well played, sir.

  2. as you can see on a b&m hyper coaster the seats are tilted back and that is the secondary restraint because if your lap bar comes up the tilted seat combined with g-force it will keep you in the seat

No it wont. Your coming out of that seat in the front row hanging over the first drop.

As well as on the brake run...

  3. Don said this is going to take up 13 acres. Still think it's gonna be small??

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

13 acres out of 364...Beast takes up 35 acres...so, about 1/3 the space of The Beast.

Not all that big, in comparison to a record breaking woodie, but big.

Would stay in line with the current thinking, 4,000-5,000 feet in length.

    I305 is on 5 acres

  4. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, et nam possit labitur veritus, novum quaestio te mei. Vis in mazim viderer, no posse ludus nam. No recteque mnesarchum quo, his eirmod insolens constituam ut. Iracundia referrentur theophrastus in eum, ex autem nullam disputando eum, his nibh percipitur ei. Has no vide maluisset assentior.??? huh?

    Sorry Double post. :(

It is important to be able to and he falls for fear lest, a new you of my question. Force in mazim seemed not to be able to play for. No mnesarchum which is good cause, these unusual, to throw. Theophrastus anger back at him, but no discussion of it, these labels is perceived him. Has made would have preferred to see, I agree

  5. I'm in the inverted camp firmly, but just for speculations sake, could they build or would there even be a reason to build a wing rider where it hung below the track? Could that prevent the need for dual side loading and speed up load times?

Take a minute to imagine what the support structure for such a coaster would look like.

  6. Anyone think The Bat references could be kind of a historical comparison? The Bat was a failed design whose site that Vortex, a world breaking coaster, grew out of. Now we again have a failed coaster's site that is sprouting a world record coaster. Doubtful that is the intention, but it is interesting nonetheless.

I can somewhat see what you're saying, SoB was also a world breaking coaster.

  7. I'll say this: I'm fairly certain if B&M were designing a water ride, the vehicles would actually fit. You cannot say Intamin reliability issues are overblown, and that it's not on Intamin - obviously there is a pattern. In fact, as of now a 3 year old coaster (which had to be modified upon completion, not unlike another recent Intamin creation) is inoperable and expected to be down for up to 8 more weeks.

I'm not saying I prefer one to the other, I'm simply pointing out that there are certain reliability issues with Intamin designs. IMO the reason B&M machines are so much more reliable, and so much more forceless, is due to a superior engineering team. I by no means prefer forceless, but when you look at these companies side-by-side from a customer's point of view, Intamin appears somewhat fly by night.

  8. not new to this topic but a "confirmation"!, but on sunday while in The Beast line, a couple of teens informed me that their dad worked in maintenance and confirmed that Vortex is sinking "like 5 inches a year and used to be taller than Diamondback"

Ah yes, good ole 1816 - the last year Vortex had one up on Diamondback.

  9. I have no clue who created this but the footers and the layout look extremely close to what we see with the 2014 project! I think this might be spot on!

Nice! I certainly would not object to this. That thing is a hoss!

  10. I'm still thinking it's going to be some variation of a wingrider/4D coaster. I really would like a Giga, but I will be happy with a new coaster no matter what it is.

450 foot Vekoma SLC that is 14,000 feet long?

  11. Just curious, but does anyone remember what Screamscape said during the follow-up of Diamondback?

icon_STOP.gif2009 - B&M Hypercoaster - Rumor - (6/9/08) Make the jump over to KICentral to see some great aerial photos taken of the park showing off the 2009 coaster construction site. In addition to the now complete splashdown lagoon area you can see theyve been clearing more space out in the woods past The Crypt.

  12. Just trying to point out that everyone's opinions will differ - and no one opinion is right or wrong. Well, unless someone is hoping for a Vekoma SLC....

I'm in the giga camp, but I wouldn't mind an impressive invert.

But the signs say no camping

I'm in cahoots with Dippin' Dots and AZ old lady.

  13. Speed and height is not everything........

    Says you...

To others speed and height ARE everything.

Then to them, Son of Beast is the best wood coaster evah and Kingda Ka steel.

    Sheesh.

Just trying to point out that everyone's opinions will differ - and no one opinion is right or wrong. Well, unless someone is hoping for a Vekoma SLC....
