  1. First LIM coaster in the world, you're right - the FoF coasters were very original.
  2. Just a quick thought on footings.. I hold no engineering degree, but, I'm inclined to think that the shape and size of footings is a lot more likely to be relative to the type of ground they're sat in and what sorts of loads will be placed on them rather than being mfg specific. I would only look to the bolt patterns in the footings as a clue to whose ride is being installed.
  3. It will be a B&M inverted standup giga coaster, Son of Bat. You'll hang upside-down beneath the track.
  4. I enjoy new coaster speculation purely for Terp's cryptic mannerisms.
  5. ^ This. There is a green Wing Coaster currently under construction.
  6. I'm sure many of you are following progress, but to those who haven't seen - construction on Wild Eagle will be complete next week. Yes, complete. Less than 2 months from announcement to completion...unbelievable. The most recent photos (showing all inversions) were posted on their fb yesterday. http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.10150369804887240.370243.239284692239&type=3
  7. Sorry CF, I just bought a season pass to Dollywood. cant wait for next season
  8. $54million in B&M coasters at Canada's Wonderland within 4 years, and KI can't get anything for it's 40th anniversary.........
  9. Canada's Wonderland got Behemoth in 2008, KI got DB in 2009. Canada's Wonderland will be getting a B&M Giga for the 2012 season...yet KI gets nothing for 40th anniversary.
  10. Horrible idea, as far as I'm concerned.. I won't be going to DA, I do not want to pay an upcharge to fund ridiculous animatronics repairs. Its going to be such an expensive venture for KI, it won't last long.. I would have really REALLY liked to see that money go towards a big attraction (not animatronics) for the 40 year - if this is what we get, I'm going to be seriously disappointed. How does this even tie into the park, AT ALL?! Even if KI was a theme park, it wouldn't fit...
  11. 6 correct answers out of 10 is over half right. Unfortunately, 60% is still failing. Actually in a lot of schools today 60% is passing What schools? Any public school, secondary included. 59% and below is failing.
  12. I have been highly impressed with the quality and price of food on my two visits to Dollywood this season. Can't say the same for KI...
  13. darn! So close! Only 5,422 to go! On a side note, whats up with this bogus Wikipedia stat: It was constructed using 1.7 million board feet (4,000 m³) of treated Southern Yellow Pine, and if stacked one in front of the other could span the US from Washington DC to Sacramento just over three times. While that is a ton of wood (roughly 321 miles, if measured as board-foot = 12" x 1"), its nowhere near the 7,000+ miles stated in the article..
  14. New software looks GREAT in mobile mode, as well as a standard window.
  15. I wish I could play on a 36' lane, the game would be so much better...
  16. Looks to be much more intense than the WindSeeker clones. Very close to them in height, with a decreased swing diameter, and almost 15mph faster swing.
  17. I don't know any official word, and haven't read up honestly, but, I think ideal placement would be near Vortex.
  18. I booked at 4 day trip for $400 including airfare. Its really not a big deal, of course I did stay at Stratosphere.. (Big Shot is awesome)
  19. Look at the scale on the bottom of the image, keep in mind this ride is 110 ft. in diameter at swing so this ride has to have a fairly large base.
  20. Also, for those saying it will be forceless, imagine being spun at 30mph in a small circle, it will be more forceful than you anticipate. With 300ft of air below you as well...
  21. While any addition is a good addition, I would have rather KI not gotten anything, in place of a new coaster for KIs 40th.. Put $5,000,000 towards SoB or a future coaster, something fun and reliable.
  22. so its a ride that is between 18^2 and 22^2 feet high, and will have a capacity of 64, 32 side-by-side seats? a huge star flyer, WindSeeker, whatever..thats the general consensus?
