  1. Yeah, I thought a 16mph slowdown was a little much too, and seeing a giga go less than 80 is weird. But as I said, I'm sure its still a great ride.
  2. Its a shame such a beast had to be muzzled. You'd think they could have seen this coming, the stress it was going to place upon itself and riders, that is. I305 should have never NEEDED to be trimmed. I'm sure its still a fantastic, maybe even better ride.
  3. Surprised no one has posted up that I305 is now slower than DB, per RCDB..bumping I305 to 8th and DB back to the tie at 7th for fastest in NA.
  4. I guess the point I was trying to make was these parks are in a seperate league, in a way.
  5. Actually if you're looking to use HW as an example, their general admission is $7 less than KI's...
  6. both are too weak, aluminum is far too soft and as stated above cf has great strength, but would be in shambles within a week as it relies on resins for holding the mats of strands together.. Coaster train + (essentially) gel coat = no no also cf tends to shatter and tear as opposed to giving and bending
  7. Sob and fd out over the next two years, who knows for '12...
  8. I never had a ride with loop or heavy trains, but, did get a ride a few years back after it reopened and decided never again. I've never stepped off a ride so disoriented, I had a headache that ruined the rest of the day. No one wants a coaster to give them shaken baby syndrome. I am glad I got the credit though, and got to experience a wooden hyper. If it does reopen, I won't be riding. What a miserable ride..
  9. Not even is the ride no longer called Manhattan Express (see: Roller Coaster at NYNY), it isn't even a standup. Didn't see where anyone had pointed this out.. It IS a TOGO, and a pretty darn good coaster too..
  10. I'd do anything for another DB rain ride. My first ride ever, we were the last train before it shut down for weather and the op told us our train clocked 83mph when we arrived at the station they've all been sunny and slower since then
  11. I hope we do see a rather large investment in the park in 2012
  12. because it usually means new rides
  13. First full day, I mean. I'm not driving 4 hours to be there for 4 hours
  14. However the calendar is showing closed. How heavy will crowds be on Oct 3, first night of Haunt?
  15. The first time I rode it was raining and the op was announcing that the last trains had went through at 83mph... What a ride..it was incredible...
  16. I'm not even sure that SoB ran for the rest of the season after the 06 accident... I don't remember that well though..
  17. A brain hemmorage is no small matter..
  18. I went last Thursday, that exact same forecast. We had a blast, it did rain for a while though.. That said, I'll be back Thursday the 25th also.
  19. Three? Height, speed, and pain?
