    Flying Objects

I've actually thought about safety a lot in the past few weeks. Watching all of the POV videos on Youtube...there's a lot of stupid folks out there putting many of us in danger. I'm just glad the phone fell off to the side instead of back. Otherwise, it would have been heading for me. I was right beside of it as it started falling.
  2. Thanks so much :D

Anyone have a picture of the cellphone collection at DB? I wish I had my camera with me to grab a pic...but I was afraid it would become part of the collection too lol, so I didn't bring it in that area.

    Crypt?!?

    That area is so lame.
  5. No way! I even hugged the statue of Patrick to get a pic. It was funny, I moved my kids out of the way to get a pic with Spongebob and Wanda from Fairly Oddparents I'm a big ole kid at heart.

HTCO...were you on the DB yesterday? That's about where I saw the phone go too. NO one attempted to get it, we all just pointed in wonder lol Interesting stories! In all my years of riding, that's a first for me to witness. It was very freaky indeed.
  7. On The Racer today, the ride op said "Enjoy your ride on The Racer. It has speeds in excess of 65 mph and 6 loops" The poor little kids in front of me looked horrified as we left the station. All I could do is laugh
  8. Have you ever been on a ride and watched someone lose something? When we were on Diamondback today, someone a few rows in front of me lost their cellphone. It was very surreal to see it just sort of 'float' there as we went down the hill. I have to say, the display of broken cell phones amuses me.

    Crypt?!?

I've been reading the boards for quite some time. I hadn't been on The Crypt since it's debut wayyyyy back when. It was one fantastic ride. I read the comments here and thought "surely it can't be THAT bad." Ha! I tell my husband what you all had said and he was like "WHY are you taking me on this?!" I told him I had to see for myself just how bad it really is. Well, we strap in and the operator announces the regular info about the ride..then says "This ride does not ONE...but TWO!!!!! flips" He sounded so darn excited about that. The ride began. I was not impressed. At. All. The ride stopped and everyone around us were going nuts clapping and wooing. My husband and I let out a big ole "BOO THIS SUCKS". I'll never get on that ride, unless one of my young daughters want to try it out. It really does belong in the kid section. What a sad, sad thing. Quick edit...just noticed the post on the pee smell. That was something we both noticed right off. My husband said "Oh my God. It smells like someone took a leak in here. You smell that? Pure urine! Disgusting."
  10. This was my first visit to Kings Island since Cedar Fair took over. What I miss most? It's very odd to walk through the empty Paramount Story area now. I also miss the ride names. It's very hard to switch over to the new names. Actually, my husband and I referred to rides by their old names all day today, just because. The music is missed as well. I am one that associates music with things..and well, it's hard to associate Jon Mayer's version of Free Falling to my ride on Delirium, you know? I missed the Top Gun songs being played while walking to...*sigh* Flightdeck. Other than that, I dunno.
  11. I've been to both parks, and rode everything both have to offer. By far, Diamondback is my favorite. The ride is unbelievably smooth. It spoils you when you ride other coasters! /13 rides in a row today without getting off!
