  1. What's going on with the world? Is it coming to an end??? It really isn't a good week for amusement parks. The whole summer even.
  2. haha if you read about me on my profile you can see what i call myself.
  3. Does it really matter? And look at my profile bub.
  4. I'm just kidding about the casinos. I'm not even old enough. No, they still need a hotel. And like the topic is - maybe about 10 years from now there will be a whole new area - I'm going for a western themed area - that would be cool (or is that too much like Rivertown?)
  5. Then I should edit that article. Really don't understand it though. And I didn't know Great Wolf Lodge was part of Kings Island's land. Speaking of lodges and hotels, with the rest of their land (well, maybe like 100 acres) they need to build some resorts and hotels. If a casino law passes - CASINOS!!!!
  6. Yeah wasn't there a kid that was 14 years old or so that was stuck in it for those 4 or 5 hours? Haven't read the article (don't feel like it) and all I know about that is watching it on the news.
  7. Nope. It's 775 acres according to the first paragraph on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kings_Island And only 364 acres have been used.
  8. Honestly I really don't think Vortex is rough. Even me being short and small, the head banging thing doesn't bother me. It's a roller coaster! Not all are smooth. And lap bars would pretty much make me fall out on the corkscrews, as to how slow they go. It wouldn't be a very fun feeling for me. Height: 56" Weight: 62 lbs. You think that could survive lap bars?
  9. I'm not a fan of being off-topic - which we are!!!! Talk about Invertigo, not Drop Tower rides.
  10. I've never even done that before. Why is it so great of a ride? And why is the height requirement 54" - or somewhere around there?
  11. New restraints? How about lap bars that will make everyone fall out? That sounds like a GREAT idea and that means Kings Island wouldn't have any more problems!!!!
  12. Well The Bat was closed because of the price of the mechanics right? There were no problems with it. Kind of the same with Son of Beast- there really is nothing wrong with it, just people don't seem to enjoy it. I don't know about Invertigo, I think that doesn't cost too much. That's safe.
  13. They can't build another roller coaster! They just spent $22 million on Diamondback, or something like that, and they really can't spend much more for awhile. Destroying SOB would cost them, and then building something else would cost them. So no one get excited if SOB is destroyed. They won't build something for awhile.
  14. Well I live only about 6 hours away....I think.....from Canada's Wonderland. But I haven't gone. Just stayed in the US.
  15. HandsUp, amusment parks don't tear down roller coasters if nothing's wrong with them.
  16. Did Kings Island have to shut down Invertigo also? They did that when a Drop Tower ride killed someone.
  17. Crap and I just started a topic about Invertigo and how underrated it was. I can just imagine being stuck........ugh I'm afraid of heights so I would puke all over the place.
  18. The Raven also has a sign that says #1 Wooden Roller Coaster as does Voyage. ???. And Holiday World looks so tiny and in the middle of no where! If I pulled into the parking lot I'd be like "What the crap is this junk?". But I really badly wanna ride Voyage!
  19. Did you guys seriously say that? Well I guess that's bad luck then.......how 'bout the next two injuries?
  20. No really though. Everyone wants it back - so why take it away? Not one old lady will stop them. I doubt something ELSE would happen to someone. I bet it could last another 4 years without someone injuring themselves.........
  21. It just whips you around the cobra roll and loop and it like kills your head. But it's pretty cool.
  22. They should bring it back next year and if one more person complains of injury, it should be the end. Hopefully no one purposely does that to make them destroy it. I hate the ride personally, but I don't want it gone. It's a three time record breaker, adds a lot to the skyline and is the biggest part of Action Zone. That brings me to another topic: How empty Action Zone is. Can you imagine it without Son of Beast at all?
  23. Diamondback is tons of fun but I don't ride it much because I hate the airtime and me thinking I'll fall out - everyone has to do it even if they're afraid. I did it, had fun, but was too afraid to ride it again.
  24. I went to Pigeon Forge in the spring and it was perfect weather to go to Dollywood but I didn't get to go. It sounds so fun! And it does remind me of Las Vegas.
  25. Oh, so they didn't mean it was open to the public, it just meant no one saw anything wrong with it. There's a perfect explanation for me.
