What are they saying on News 5 then????? I've heard three times "And Son of Beast is opening", "Back on rolling", "Back on track". Three different days!!!

What are you talking about "open in a day or two". It's been closed for 2 months.....and I could have sworn on the news they said "Son of Beast is now open also" (after talking about Firehawk).

I think the news just said SOB is going to be open today or tomorrow, as to inspectors saw nothing wrong with it. I swear I heard that. I even watched the TV, opened my ears and my eyes, and SOB is open. They were also talking about Firehawk.

I was looking at RCDB and I saw that there was a coaster that was defunt in 1988, White Lightning. I don't think they'd be putting in a new coaster the same name. I guess that doesn't really matter.

I honestly don't understand what they're doing to SOB by closing it. Are they repairing it or something? I mean, someone complained that they had an injury. What do they do about that? Any roller coaster?

Really though Action Zone does look like a parking lot. But I can't see it being lush at all; it just wouldn't give me the feeling of "action". I like concrete. But it does get hot over there in the summer, and it would be good to have some trees or maybe several picnic tables with tents above them.

I'm so stupid I didn't realize what topic I was on and I thought you meant you just turned 100 years old. Duh. Still at zero. I'll probably ride Diamondback the Friday night I go on August 22.

This thread really fails. "Firehawk Reopens". So what? What are we supposed to say?

Ya if they destroyed SOB, that would lower the count of coasters at the park, would cost a lot of money and two other things: 1. Kings Island wouldn't look so cool if SOB wasn't towering over the park. 2. That space would be too empty - and to build another coaster would cost even MORE money.

It doesn't have the "Action" feeling. 3 coasters, 1 flat and a water ride. Terrible.

Well not to be so literal but Diamondback has broken down several times. Not that it matters. Just usually in the morning it gets stuck on the brakes or the lift hill. Off topic a little.

Well I don't see a place called Action Zone having a lot of landscaping....at least more trees though.

I don't know how that has to do with anything - just the fact that The Beast was built a way longer time ago than the Voyage, and there's already been tons of tall and fast wooden coasters, and Voyage is just another new one. Beast is old. And historical - I guess. I really do want to go Holiday World, and ride Voyage, so THEN I can actually post my opinion. Just, don't worry about what I say.

Well, I've only ridden the Red Racer, never the blue. I should try the blue to see if there's a difference to me. And a lot of KI fanatics know that Beast rules.

Well I know they race. Maybe that's why it's called The Racer. And this is off topic but one difference between the Voyage and Beast. Beast - 1979 Voyage -2006. BIG DIFFERENCE. Beast rules no matter what.

Is there a difference between the Red Racer and the Blue Racer? And Voyage sucks. (I never have ridden it before)
