  1. I could see a ride starting around Mean Streak, or where Mean Streak sits, and going out and back somewhere where the black lines are. Similar to Magnum which starts at the edge and goes way back.
  2. I could also see the removal of Challenge Park for a ride, and maybe even one of the hotels.
  3. The Beast items, the writing on the spaceship (which DBfan does not like, but some of it is funny), The mountain of Silly Bands on the Voyage photo building's roof, The writing on the wood on almost every wood coaster where the track comes close to the line, the cell phones in the Diamondback line (Speaking of that, one went right between my arm and my head last week on the 3rd hill of Db), and the coins in almost every fountain and pond everywhere.
  4. I always love reading these, shows the past of the theme park industry that I never got to know.
  5. What were those two people in the bottom left, I remember them from something, but can't put my hands on it. And I remember the slime, sitting there as a kid watching Nick, then going to Kings Island and they had the slime. I always wanted to try, but my mom wouldn't let me.

    Holiday World

I did sit middle seat, I will try front next time. It was hot and I was ready to go to the waterpark. And as for what people are saying: I never said I disliked Holiday World, I think its wonderful the work they are doing there. Yes, it is a much better park than when I went last time, but for me its just enough. The park just started getting national publicity, and continues to gain momentum, I think the oppurtunity is golden for that park, but I dont think its at that level where I want to be going there every year. I only have time for 3 to 4 park visits a year, and for me, that long just for Voyage, Legend, LL, and a great waterpark is still not enough. Yes it was fun, yes I enjoyed it, Holiday World is growing and I like that, but its still a small park, and it still has room for growth in my opinion.
  7. In 2005, I went to Holiday World for the first time. I was excited, but not too excited. What I remember from that trip is that it was hot and humid, and the rides were not that great. Legend was fun, Raven was overrated, and Liberty Launch was fun. The waterpark is where I spent half my day, and I really enjoyed it. After this, I didnt see the point of riding 3 hours to that when KI is 2 hours away and much better in my opinion. Now here we are five years later, and Holiday World has grown. I went there last Friday, and what an experience. Friday. It was getting close to 90 degrees. There was a heat advisory. I expecting crowds, but it was Holiday World, it's in the middle of nowhere. When we got there about 10min after opening, it was already starting to get packed. I don't know if it is because KK is closed, or just because it was a hot day, but this park was packed. First off, I ran straight to Voyage because I had to ride what most called the best wooden roller coaster. I really like the line leading up to Voyage. It is creative and not just your typical walk back and forth in the heat queue. The line took 20 minutes and it really did move fast. It lived up to expectations. I don't get how Holiday World does it, but they never deliver a mediocre ride, all their new rides are great. The whole ride was absolutly amazing, and even without the timberliners it is without doubt my #1 woodie. It is also a totally different ride front and back. 10/10. Speaking of the Timberliners, they were right next to the station and I took about 5 minutes looking at it. it didnt look ready, but it sure did look great. Next up was Pilgrims Plunge. A nice easy 10 minute wait. I didnt get where all the people I saw in the parking lot were at this time. I would find out later. The best part of this ride is of course the ride up. When that elevator started tipping near the top I felt my stomach drop. I can ride TTD and not feel a thing, but this creeped me out. Im on a little elevator in a boat and if I slide back its a long fall. The drop was okay, and it stopped too sudden, but all in all it is a pretty good ride, and would be better if it wasnt so far from everything else. 7/10. Next, I ran to Legend to try to finish the coasters before the crowds really got heavy. Legend was a 1 hour wait, and I really liked it. 8/10. Then Raven. 1 hour wait because of course they have one train running thanks to the Timberliners. I don't get why so many people love this ride, sure its cool location, but really its a very short coaster will virtually no air time and lasts very little. 5/10. After this, I decide its time to head to the waterpark, its a hot day and im getting sweaty, I grab my 4th of 14 free soft drinks, and head over to the waterpark. WOW. I don't think I have ever seen this many people in one area. The lines for the soft drinks were 7-10 minutes. Food was 15. Even the small slides had 45 minute waiting times. All the big ones were 1 hour plus, with the better ones upwards of 2 hours. I grabbed a bite to eat of very cheap pizza, and decided that I wanted to ride Wildebeest, who cares about all the other slides. 2 hours later, I finally sat in my seat on Wildebeest and hung on. Yes, it took 2 hours. The queue was good, but they had these hoses running with ice cold water that made everyone in the line miserable. It would feel good if it was a little warmer, or it was mist, not just sprayed water from a hose. The ride Wildebeest was great, the first hill after the first drop had some airtime if you sit up front, and it really was a great ride. Not worth a 2 hour wait, but still really fun. 9/10. At this point, my 6 hours in the park is almost done, so I decide to head over to Voyage to see the lines. Everyone must have been in the waterpark, because I rode that thing 3 times in 20 minutes to end the day. This really made my day a bit better. I was able to at least ride something with a short line. All in all, Holiday World is a great little park. Problem is, there is way too much hype for there rides for the size of the park to handle. What they need to do is spend some money, widen and redo the paths so they are not so confusing, and limit the amount of people you let in, I think Disney does that at times. It really could make the park more enjoyable. It was a pretty good day, im glad I went, but unless Holiday World gets something special, I don't see myself going there for 3 more years. Ride Count: Voyage:2 Ravage:2 Legend:1 Raven:1 Wildebeest:1 Pilgrims Plunge: 1 Total rides in 6 hours 30 minutes: 8. (3 in the last 20 minutes) -Dbfan
  8. Isnt this all supposed to be opened this year? You would think we would have pictures of the inside by now, all I can find is pictures of the 2 coasters that go outside.
  9. Someone call joey Chesnut! It would ony cost him about 25$ for his usual load.
  10. There was only two renderings, not showing much. The log flume sounds interesting though.
  11. Good to hear, I never realized how much I liked that ride until I went a day at KI without riding it.
  12. There is no way, Cedar Point has to be deserted for you to have a chance at that. Rides are probably 5 minutes in length when you add on loading and unloading, walking between them is 10 minutes, So thats 45 minutes for 4 rides. So 11 minute lines max. Tell me which day TTD has 11 minute lines.
  13. It seems the news is overreacting, from what I read, the power was out for one minute. One minute without power, then everything started back up again. So you got an extra minute sitting on a lift hill, I dont get why its such a big ordeal. Dbfan, waiting for terpy to explan why he is wrong.
  14. Amazing to think that this happened in only eight years...
  15. The queue isnt as good as it once was, its way more lighted up, half the props are gone, you can see the ride from the first chamber because the doors are gone, The Bat is the dumbest thing I have ever seen, and just growls. The ride itself is absolutly terrible, I rode it 3 times every trip when it was TR:TR. Then when they changed it, I was a bit dissapointed, but it still wasnt too bad, now the whole ride is ruined. It seriously is a kids ride now. Avatar is just as thrilling as it is. Dbfan, who rode it for the first time in 3 years yesterday, and was more dissapointed than he thought he would be.
  16. 1: Two people complaining over whether it is Drop Tower or Drop Zone "They changed all the names when Snoopy bought the patk" 2: On Drop Tower: Child: Why isnt that big one open (SOB) Mom: Because too many people got killed, so they decided to close it. 3: Someone called Son of Beast The Racer. 4: 4 people were in the FD line trying to figure out how to get to the entrance for SOB. (Which they really really need a sign saying ride closed, all there is is a gate, no sign saying Son of Beast is closed from what I could see, saw 4 other people in Acion Zone trying to find the entrance.)
  17. The Crypt preride: "Welcome to the Crypt, the best ride in the world." Millie station: "Welcome Millenium Force, this ride will take you up to a staggering height of 15 feet, drop you down 13 feet at speed up to 8mph, have fun!"
  18. Speaking of Son of Beast testing, yesterday on Adventure Express, some kid said "Look Son of Beast is testing, I thought it was closed" I looked up, nothing. The train went into a tunnel so I could not see anything, then into the station. For the rest of the day, I kept looking up to see if it was testing, ran into a trashcan and a sign. I guess I was too hopeful.
  19. Those little places in the middle of Coney Mall with the trees overhead and the benches. I always see couples there.
  20. Dang, thats terrible. Maybe she was not strapped in all the way? Looking at the picture of her, she is a larger woman, maybe the restraint didnt fit, but she somehow got let on anyway?
  21. And, correct me if im wrong, but didnt CW say that those markers were not for a new ride?
  22. They really need to fix this, everyone just sees it as a transport to BB.
  23. I saw the first DB ride of the season via webcam, and it was right on time.
