  1. "Cedar Fair CEO: Consumers feeling better" http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000355910
  2. When you try to pull your Platinum Pass out of your wallet and it is stuck because it has been in there for so long.
  3. But the user who posted the material will still see that it was given a negative. Imagine if you had thought of some seemingly-brilliant post and it got downvoted half a dozen times. Would you want to keep posting here? Would you want to keep adding to conversation? And the reaction is especially true if you were new to the forum. Some people have thick skin and wouldn't be bothered by it, but the sense of community would take a hit.
  4. Thanks for reminding me why I don't like coming here much anymore. It also reminds me how much I want a "downvote" button on this site. Not a good idea... Those are fine for sites with anonymity of users, but in a place like this where community and interpersonal interactions are the keys to existence, that would do nothing but harm.
  5. Kings Dominion said on their Facebook that they would be adding WiFi as a guest amenity in the new Soak City. https://www.facebook.com/notes/kings-dominion/all-new-soak-city-water-park-to-replace-waterworks-at-kings-dominion/10152556840341875
  6. "Dining Plan participating locations & menus subject to change without notice" Hmm...
  7. I felt as if there was a large attempt to not do anything edgy or extreme in the advertisements throughout the game. With the NFL's public image issue throughout the year, it is easy to see why. More emphasis on nice things, positive emotion, simple descriptive advertising. Less on anything that could be construed inappropriately in any way. The only ads that really used any kind of sexual appeal or innuendos were the Kate Upton "Game of War" one (which she has been doing for months now) and naturally, the Victoria's Secret one. Think that was a mistake? Not at all.
  8. Effective ads are often placed where the most eye traffic is. On KIC, I would imagine that location is right near the top/middle of discussions. The example we see in classes all the time is the "Google Triangle." The locations where the eyes focus are premier advertising spots. "The Google Triangle"
  9. Oh ok! I just wasn't sure if it was something new or not. I'm all for using ads to fund the site, as long as it keeps KIC around for us!
  10. I don't know if this is a new layout for the site, or if this is just what I'm seeing. When I open a forum, after the first topic there is an ad. Prior to tonight, I don't remember seeing this before. Anybody else? It's not a big deal, but just enough to be a slight annoyance. (snip of what I'm talking about)
  11. Oh is that the place where the make-it-yourself funnel cake thing is going? Like the Chipotle style funnel cake thing? Or am I just confused...
  12. Can somebody remind me what is happening in that building?
  13. I listen to pretty much solely country music, but I do dabble into some other genres as well. I'm not sure that I would be able to pick a single favorite artist though.
  14. I don't believe the floral Eiffel Tower was there this past season. Was it the one near the Dodgem?
  15. I had a dream last night that the local ballpark facility where I played Little League and high school baseball added an orange RMC coaster. It wasn't open to the public yet, but for some reason I was allowed to ride, and it was awesome. I remember wanting to take pictures to make a trip report, but I forgot my camera! I really need to ride one of these beasts.
  16. Ask why! The more quality (not quantity) questions you ask, the more insight you will get. And it shows that you are interested in what you will be doing.
  17. I don't think he was talking about the babies napping...
  18. GOCC. I joined solely for the perks that come with membership.
