Riptide looks really cool all lit up! Has construction on Starliner started up yet?

Personally, I'm more interested in the brown/orange track at this Point.

Don't let the destruction of wooden coasters spread to Cedar Fair. Let The Racer continue as a wood coaster. I feel like there are better candidates for an Iron Horse conversion in the Cedar Fair chain.
Better candidates? Maybe. Good candidates? No.
Well, MAYBE the KD Hurler. It's the only woodie in the Cedar Fair chain that I've ridden that I'd be hesitant to ride again.
Oh come on guys! Wouldn't an RMC conversion of The Beast be fantastic?!?
Yes, yes it would. In fact I could see that easily becoming a top 5-10 coaster in the minds of many. Doesn't mean I want to see it happen though.

^Ain't that the truth.
Also, it's worth noting starting August 1st, Platinum Passholders can bring anyone to Wildwater Kingdom for FREE.
Price integrity, COMPLETELY thrown out the window.
I think it's time is almost up.
To be fair Cedar Point has the same promotion.

The new coaster will replace the parks log ride. A full announcement from the park is coming later today.

Only flaw I see isn't in anything of the ride. I noticed while I was there three semi generators in the giant area of land cleared next to the station with possibly hundreds of electrical conduits running from the trailers to green transformer next to the ride station. Maybe an issue with the new substation Holiday World built for the park or the Will Power flywheel building not working? Interesting for sure to say the least. Now I'm curious what all that land cleared out is going to be for.
Paula has stated elsewhere that those were required by the state in order for the ride to open.

I would think the Koch family intended to run the park long term. I don't know that Hart had/has that same intention.

Greetings everyone, first time poster here. I live in Minnesota, and I will be visiting Kings Island for the first time on Tuesday, June 9th. I'm very excited to experience Kings Island, but I need some help in planning my day, so I have a few questions.
1) How long should I expect the lines for the major rides to be? Would it be worth purchasing Fast Lane/Fast Lane Plus for my day, or should I save that money for Cedar Point (going there after Kings Island)?
2) In what order should I ride everything?
3) Any specific seating recommendations on the coasters for the best/smoothest rides.
4) How many hours will I need to conquer the park if I don't get FL/FL+?
5) Anything else I should know about Kings Island?
Any input is appreciated.
1) It shouldn't be terrible. If you are planning on spending the entire day you will be able to ride everything you want without issue. As others have said, check the crowds when you get there, but I'd be shocked if you needed it.
2) As stated before, go directly to Flight of Fear and Firehawk first. If Firehawk is open ride that first then Filght of Fear, if not ride Flight or Fear and hope Firehawk is open when you get off. Backlot Stunt Coaster and Invertigo will be the other two coasters that could have somewhat significant waits. Diamondback, Banshee, Beast, Vortex, and Racer (particularly if both sides are open) all move people really well.
3) Avoid wheel seats on the woodies. Very front or second to last rows are my personal favorite on both Racer and Beast. Ride Vortex in 5-1 for the smoothest ride. I prefer Diamondback and Banshee in the back.
4) Depends on weather and crowd levels, as well as your personal preferences. If you are there for a credit run, then the park could probably be done in 4-6 hours. If you are there to take things in and re-ride some of the coasters then you can easily spend an entire day in the park. As others have said, night rides on Beast, Diamondback, and Banshee are all worth staying for if your schedule allows.
5) Have fun! Let us know how your trip goes! We all enjoy hearing the experiences of those who visit less frequently than many of us here. (Oh, and ride Drop Tower!).

It does look like a very unique take on spinning coasters. This will fit in very well with BGT's current coasters and I'm sure the air conditioned queue will be welcome relief in the summer.

After Steel Hawg stranded riders Monday, Tig'rr stranded a rider on Tuesday when there was a power outage at the park.

They must be selling a lot of wands and Butter Beer. And Duff. And Transformer stuff.

I would think that it would stay open at least through completion of Volcano Bay. I just don't see it lasting long after that.

^Yeah I thought it was interesting that the first 5 or comments I saw were all about pricing for annual passes increasing. It would seem that Wet n' Wild's days may be numbered.

Some of you people need a new hobby.
The concept art looks really good, if the final product is anything close it will be a great addition. It will be interesting, as others have said, to see all the different marketing strategies that emerge for the 2016 Orlando additions. Hopefully this ride will help Sea World refocus and move forward to a bright future.

Looks like Steel Hawg at Indiana Beach also stranded a couple riders on Monday.

Perhaps or perhaps not relevant, Kumbak also designed an evacuation system for Morey's Piers SLC.

Not to knock the time and effort that people put into those but at least one member here paid for a shirt they still never received so make sure to follow up on your order.

^I hope they are remembering to get the postal codes of all their international visitors!

I know the park has put out media day info to various outlets about T3's opening.

Just an FYI Indiana Beach has a buy one daily ticket get one free promotion for tickets purchased on the website. Not a terrible deal if you are just planning to go once this season. (There did not appear to be a "use by" date but I may have missed it.)

Saw my first Kentucky Kingdom billboard on the northside of Indy today, as well as the first TV spot on Hulu of all places.

Now that is the most impressive thing I have seen in a Six Flags Park in a while. I would honestly wait to ride that (and that is saying something). It will be interesting to see what type of shape the ride is in 3 years down the line, but that it is a seriously impressive dark ride.

At KI, my guilty pleasure is Backlot which I find to be incredibly fun. My biggest one though is Wolverine Wildcat at Michigan's Adventure.
