  1. Congratulations Jesse! Your posts are always my favorite to read! I think you will do an amazing job
  2. I really like how the trains look, and how the seats are situated. It seems like everyone would have a great ride, regardless of where they sat.
  3. I love your new avatar! Bettis is my favorite retired player!

  5. I agree, very cool idea! Perhaps that will make the off season go by faster!

  7. Already done. I know that KI goes to weekend only operations the last week of August but CP doesn't until after Labor Day. I'm not too worried about it as we are spending two days in each park, plus when I went to KI this last year, I went on the Saturday of Freedom Fest and got all the coasters and rides that I wanted to done plus spend a few hours in BB and still had breathing room.
  8. McSalsa, don't think that's too early for planning! I'm planning my trip to KI, Cedar Point and Kennywood for this summer already and I'm not even going until late August!
  9. In your first post when you mentioned that it was cold in August, that made me laugh. The warmer months for the bay area is September and October, although you might get lucky in June. Railrider, those are some amazing shots! San Francisco is my home town, and it's where I spent a good portion of my childhood. Your shots give me some serious homesickness. Did you get a chance to drive down Highway 1 along the coast from Monterey to San Francisco? Santa Cruz is along that route and I am wondering if you had a chance to stop, as it is absolutly beautiful during the summer.
  10. Wow, that was an amazing video. So beautiful and sad. I really wish that they weren't demolishing it
  11. I'm just going to stay completly ignorant and positive that something better will be coming next summer. Will my dreams come true? Probably not. There is a reason for everything, and, as much as I don't want to, I'll have to trust CF in their decisions. At least until summer rolls around. Then I'll complain.
  12. ^^^I am also eagerly awaiting SOB's updated status...and am already mentally preparing myself for WindSeeker next year. I have no doubt that both my dad and boyfriend will be forcing me on it.
  13. My favorite memory would be the only memory I have this year: coming back for the first time in 10 years, seeing how KI has grown, the changes that it's made...all incredible. I enjoyed the fact that I rode all the rides that I had been afraid of when I was a kid with no fear at all. Experiencing Diamondback for the first time. Eating blueberry ice cream. Most of all, I loved the fact that I got to spend the whole time with my cousin. That was the best part of the season. I can't wait until next year when I come back!
  14. ^ I completly agree. In fact, my family vacation back east completly revolves around going when everyone is in school but still in daily operation!
  15. I said Patriot, only because that's the only one that I've been on that's on the list.
  16. With crowds that size, it makes me wonder about safety for the guests? 64,000 people is a lot to try and evacuate if the situation arises.
  17. McSalsa, you always have very entertaining trip reports, and it always feels like I am right there with you. Excellent TR!
  18. has an ache for Santa Cruz that needs to be tended to.

  19. In our family, we have a joke between myself and my cousins that all four food groups of Kings Island must be met in order to consider it a good day at KI. This includes feasting on Potato Works french fries, followed by LaRosa's pizza, then Skyline for dinner, and Blue Ice Cream. I can't choose one over the others or I will be disowned (Potato Works would be my choice, just don't tell anyone! Nothing beats those french fries after a couple of hours at Boomerang Bay!)
  20. I would have to agree with Delirum13. I would love to see a dark ride that's scary. When I went this last summer, I was less than thrilled with BBOBH. The whole focus of the ride was to point and shoot. IMO? Boring. I have very fond memories of riding Phantom Theater with my brother (who has autism and would only go on few rides, one being PT) and I think that bringing a haunted ride would be beneficial. Don't get me wrong, I would love a floorless coaster like anyone else, but if I had to choose the order, it would go something like this: -Haunted Mansion -Redo of park -X-Base Expansion (I don't think two rides constitutes an "area" thank you very much.) -Expansion of waterpark -Floorless coaster -New woodie (can we PLEASE fix SOB before we start thinking about a new wooden coaster. Some of us would actually like to ride it, please.)
  21. ^^Terpy is absolutly right. Silverwood is an amazing park, one that is not to be missed. I tell everyone to ride Tremors when I hear that they are headed to Silverwood. It is beyond amazing! I forsee a day trip to Idaho in my not-so-distant future
  22. I'm going to take an educated guess and say that "an experience like no other" is aimed towards people who may not know that the new coaster is Chang. I do dig the new green track, though.
  23. Awesome TR! I can't wait to hear the rest!
  24. Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. Is it too late to change my vote?!
