Anyway, whats the difference between a "helice" and a "helix"? I've been wondering about that for years...
-
I had a feeling I was going to get those kind of replys to my post...

They could tear down SOB and put a steel coaster in it's place that has the same layout as SOB. They could even put the loop back in! Anybody think I'm going off a limb here or could this be possible...?

In line for Millennium Force on Friday:
Guy: "Millennium Force runs on the same system as Beast. As a result, they've been able to add more and more trains to Beast."
Girl: "Well yeah, The Beast is a 6 minute ride."
"This is just like Magnum."
And then it got stuck on the lift.
"Who would want to ride this after it gets stuck like that?" (girl + entire family proceeds to leave the queue)
"What if it gets stuck going down the drop?"
"What if it gets stuck upside down?"
"This ride doesn't go upside down.. does it?"
"YES IT DOES! Look over there (points at first overbank)!"
Guy on maXair: "I'm really high right now (laughs)"
Two guys behind me in line for Magnum, looking up at Dragster:
"We're going on that next."
"I am NOT riding that. Shut up"
"It would be even better if they added a loop at the top!" (I actually thought that would be pretty awesome myself!)
"DUDE, NO! It looks bad enough! I am NOT riding that!"
You probably wanted to smack all of those people in the face right there and then...

Exiting White Water Canyon I saw a pair of toddler socks on the ground. I pointed at it and me and my friend just laughed...

When ever I go to KI I always want to ride the Crypt because the line is a walk-on but none of my friends want to so I never get to ride the Crypt even though I want to. I really hope that they don't tear this ride down...

That's great...

Next time I go to KI I am gonna bring 30 bucks so I can ride Sling Shot and Xtreme Skyfler.

Yeah but those people are trained to withstand G-force. Let me rephrase what I said in the other post. "most guests won't be able to withstand the G-force"

A taller coaster would work. I just couldn't see a faster one with Formula Rossa. On the Ferrari World website it says that Formula Rossa is going to be so fast all riders must wear safety goggles.
EDIT- coaster_junky already said that FR riders must wear safety goggles. He just posted before me...

What I'm saying is that at some point a coaster will be so fast if anything were to be faster it would cause more positive G's than the human body can withstand...

Hi, I guess this could be "The Formula Rossa Discussion Thread" but does anyone think that their ever will be a coaster built to be faster than Formula Rossa or their won't. In my opinion there could be but if anything tops 149.1 mph I think you that most people would easily blackout. It's sad to say but the opening of this rollercoaster will note there probably won't ever be another coaster wars. The insane speeds of this coaster just won't be beaten...

On the polls on Kings Islands' website, there is the same question, and the blue racer is winning. Surprisingly.
I hate the blue racer. It is way too rough. When I ride that, my leg hits the lap bar and it hurts a ton - in fact, it's not even fun. Then on the red racer, I don't even move in my seat except the smooth airtime on the hills. Much better.
I hate to say this but honestly, the only reason I came up with this poll is because I saw this question on KI's website. teehee!

I've never ridden it since it costs money but I'm planning to this summer. It looks really fun...

I like the "Boomerang Bay" name and theme. The name "Water Works" is extremely unoriginal. There are probably hundreds of waterparks across the country that are called "Water Works" also.

Well, this thread isn't going anywhere...

I think that if KI were to make BB not included with addmission they would have to make it a lot better for people to go to it. They don't have to make BB top-notch. I really don't blame Kings Island about BB. They're more focused on their amusement park and I would be to. Like I said before I just go to BB to cool of for an hour or two. And if you want to go to a bigger and better waterpark just drive right down the street to The Beach Waterpark...

TILT-A-WHIRL!!
They need to put a nice Tilt-A-whirl in the Coney section. One on par with the one at Cedar Point. It is one of the best TAW I have been on.
I could ride a good Tilt-a-whirl all day....lol
I would really hate to see a Tilt-a-Whirl. A lot of people know that type of ride as Tilt-a-Hurl.

Does anyone have any photos of the old Cuddle Up ride that was at KI in the 70's. I've heard of it before but I've always been curious of what it was...

And after I rode The Beast for the first time i was frikin addicted to coasters and then I rode everthing. It shattered my fears.
-
Me too. 5 years ago I was terrified of big coasters. You couldn't pay me 100 bucks to ride a looping ride. I only rode coasters like AE, The Beastie, Top Gun, and Italian job.

The staff is doing very well with making The Racer actually race. I like it.

This a poll discussing The Racer...
In my opinion I like the Red Racer because it's smoother than the Blue Racer and I like how start out on the Red Racer. You go right next to the midway...

all new metal track for SOB?

If you ask me I've actually given up on SOB also. I'm just glad I got to ride it once in early May 09'. Then the next time I went to KI was after they shut it down because of the accident. I enjoyed going down the hills but in the first helix was just annoying and painful. Going down the hills was like jumping down to the ground then at the bottom of the hill was like landing on the ground...
