  1. I can picture it now. "Due to mechanical reasons, Youngstud will not be operating today. U mad bro?"
  2. ^Complete with tagline: "Youngstud: The Intamin Giga to End All Intamin Gigas." Edited to remove typos.
  3. Heh heh. Terp said something funny -MrSaturdayNite and his juvenile sense of humor.
  4. Interesting that the announcement will be at 10pm. Guess there won't be a day this summer for an announcement after all. Oh, and 100th post!
  5. At least it doesn't make your picture look like a cgi guinea pig voiced by Nicholas Cage!
  6. True, but CF owns KI now, so the exclusivity clause is no longer an issue.
  7. I think the poster is referencing the trespassing incident. Also, personnel is spelled wrong in the picture. In reply to drummerkid's question.
  8. I usually avoid Invertigo. Going up the lift hill backwards in an open car freaks me out.
  9. I'm at the McDonald's up the road from the park, and from my initial drive-by, I concur with JTW'S assessment: too dark and foggy. All I saw was a security golf cart. Sunrise is at 6:28, so I'm going to give up and go home. Also, I love hash browns.
  10. I also just got off work, but I'm down at the airport. Hopefully it'll be daylight by the time I get up there.
  11. Did anyone really think it would? Still a pretty awesome announcement in my book. Not very heart-warming, though.
  12. Isn't a Banshee a Screaming Demon? No, not really. A Banshee is simply a legendary female spirit that wails when someone is about to die. It doesn't necessarily imply the spirit is a demon. Well, ghost, spirit, and demon are regularly used interchangeably. Or at least they are in the haunt stories put out by the Warrens. Perhaps I've been listening to too much of those.
  13. Isn't a Banshee a Screaming Demon?
  14. FWIW, I drove by CSF yesterday morning (6/27) and saw none of the new track that had been previously mentioned. It may have been moved, or I may be blind. However, what I did see were 4-5 shipping trailers parked in front of the building.
  15. Years ago, I used to drive by CSF every day. But I had no idea the place was that big until I saw the video of Mr. Ouimet and the team checking out the Gatekeeper progress.
  16. Don's the PR guy. he gets paid to field questions (clever and dumb). Just because you get paid for something doesn't mean you enjoy it.MrSaturdayNite, who just got off work.
  17. If you have any of the cheddar ones, pass them on over.
  18. These photos are great! Thanks for sharing. *
  19. It's still there m8. http://screamscape.com/html/kings_island.htm About 3/4 of the way down the page with the obligatory stop sign.
  20. Evil phenomenon, screams, no camping. Did they buy the rights to Friday the 13th: The Ride? ;-)
  21. Bloody brilliant, Old Bean! I look forward with eager eyes to the continuation of this epic saga!
  22. According to the promotional signage in the video, SoB was going to be "The World's Tallest, Fastest and ONLY LOOPING Wooden Roller Coaster on the Planet!" So, not only was it the world's tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster, it was also the tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster on the planet. Impressive.
  23. This news made my day. SOB was a giant question mark in KI's future and I'm glad to see the park is finally moving on.
  24. It's possible. Keep in mind that esquire's husband is looking at childhood memories through a time veil that is 20 years thick. Time tends to compact memories in a way that causes multiple events and details to run together. MrSaturdayNite who remembers marathoning The Beastie an hour before closing time, but has difficulty remembering how old he is.
