  1. That tweet is from July 13. It's quite possible PR just wasn't told yet.
  2. I found the blueprint picture. GOCC posted it on Facebook. Link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1473448236051140&id=115430945186216&__tn__=%2As
  3. The resort gate is getting redone. I can't find it anymore, but I saw a picture of a large blueprint for the new park posted on a wall somewhere within the park. In it you can clearly see the entrance gate is being moved in past the tunnel under the road and closer to Magnum. It is this same blueprint that revealed Challenge Golf and Ripcord were being moved/removed.

Where did you hear/see that it would be valid at all parks? Not that I don't believe you, I just don't want to make a purchase and then that turn out to be false.
  5. I think the funnel slide would be popular relocated at a new park. Those slides at KI and KD are among guests' favorites and always have long lines. Surprisingly, though, Knott's is removing theirs in favor of a more tame looking slide. So that's two Cedar Fair funnel slides without homes now. For reasons stated above, I personally think they would fit right on in at Cedar Point Shores, Carolina Harbor, or any park that doesn't have one; well, any except Knott's, I guess.
  6. Don't forget the orange ones! rcwizard13, NOT making any type of political statement.
  7. The hypocrisy in the post above me is ludicrous.
  8. Doubling up my posting here, but I'm on my phone so it makes it difficult to do anything. Not all airtime comes from hills. Depending on where you are, the turns can easily count as airtime if they're fast enough. Maverick for Example. All the turns, depending on who is in what seat will get airtime. So possibly count some turns. Plus not all Airtime is possible to see. I counted as well and never got all the way to 16, but never as low as 10 either. I figure some of the hills are just too small to make out in the rendering. As for airtime not coming from hills the intro video did not just say 16 airtime moments, but clearly stated "16 airtime hills". Also, I believe the second big drop is the drop over the lift hill after the first drop off the lift.
  9. Looking back through this thread, I'm wondering where Skylab was in relation to today. Was it where the Dinosaurs Alive! entrance is now?
  10. Yes. Although this thread was started 3 hours before that one, but for whatever reason no one ever replied to it until now.
  11. And, as others said, do try to change your family's minds on Gemini. It is a great ride that does not trully compare to Racer, imo. I'd describe it more of a dueling coaster than a racing. The tracks are directly next to each other most of the ride rather than separated as on Racer and are obviously steel instead of wooden. Plus, I can't recall ever waiting in a line for it. All of my rides have been station waits and took place on weekends.
  12. According to KCTV reporter Nathan Vickers it has been confirmed it was a child that died on Verrukt: https://twitter.com/nathanvickers/status/762396037520646144 Still awaiting confirmation of further information. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with the family and all others affected.
  13. ^Actually I don't believe he used the word "attraction" either. I even rewatched it yesterday and all Greg described the second announcement with was "major" and "2017 capital investment".
  14. Yesterday, while going up the first lift on Adventure Express, I saw a truck driving on the service roads between AE and Racer with a logo on the side of it that I'm pretty sure was an old Paramount's Kings Island logo with the mountain and stars.
  15. No. This announcement was stated as being for 2017 capital. They're not going to announce it over a year early. And Haunt announcement usually comes around Labor Day.
  16. [emoji2] TB I get such a kick out of your graphics this one is hands down my favorite I guess it was to far out of the way for The Bat to travel. Poor guy [emoji122] Same for Invertigo and Flight of Fear apparently. Though FoF must just be lazy as AE, Racer, Firehawk, and Banshee are all there. (Picture not deleted from quote because it's too cool to)
  17. Greg mentioned that they want to tease it some at the MT anouncement. So, hopefully we'll see something soon.
  18. I'll go ahead and list things I think may be coming: -the return of the campground -another new slide in Soak City -a dark ride in the Big Box -a PvZ like attraction in Action Theater -a new flat ride in Rivertown or Coney Mall Of these the one I would enjoy most is the return of the campground. Some of my fondest memories of my entire child are in the old Kings Island campground. It's not all unreasonable either. Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, and Worlds of Fun all still maintain campgrounds. Also, I do not think this would be anything related to Haunt or a Winterfest return because, as others have said, why would they announce a seasonal event that is still over a year away?
  19. I can't believe no one commented on this sooner: Are you saying Adam House used to post on these very forums? If so that is trully amazing and cool.
  20. And as people have said time and time again:Stats mean NOTHING. Read my post again. I'm not saying stats define a ride. I'm not saying Mystic Timbers won't be a good ride. I'm not saying I won't enjoy the ride. All I'm saying is that this ride really does not fill any "gaps" for Kings Island.I did read your post. You said, "Mystic Timbers isn't really filling any gap in King's Island's coaster lineup." In that line, you are are defining the coaster based on it's stats. The Racer opened in 1972. Mystic Timbers in 2017. That's 45 years of advances in coaster design. So, I'll say again: Stats mean NOTHING.
  21. And as people have said time and time again: Stats mean NOTHING.
  22. ^^ I think of that as confirmation it's not a drop track or anything with the track. I don't think he was lying.
  23. I got in line at 5 after 9 by the Planet Snoopy sign. By the time it started moving at 9:21 it stretched from the back edge of the Crypt building, around the Planet Snoopy bathrooms, and out of sight.

  25. I want to make sure to get a ride on the train before the announcement tonight. What time does it close down? 8 or 9?
