No respect for those who drive intoxicated and no sympathy for them when they wreck. You just have to pray they only injure themselves.

Its the off season so I figured I would bring this back out for anyone who might have missed them this spring.
Thank you for doing that, being as I wasn't a member then, I really enjoyed these!!!!

I'd have to say phyisically Boo Blasters (rotating platform like Jasper said) or Beast having to bend over to check restraints.
Operational Wise-- Monster it is the only ride that has manual controls.
I would have to put White Water Canyon ahead of Boo Blasters as far as physicality. Because you're walking the platform just the same...except you have to endure the elements. Also, just guest stand-point.

I just re-read "The Lottery"...I don't remember it being, errmm, disturbing is the word y'all used so I'll say disturbing. Quite the interesting short story. I only remember making fun of it with my buddies when I was a Freshman in High School. It's much longer than simply 4 years ago.
-
I've read that before. I was a little too young to comprehend it...I might, possibly, read it right now.
-
Is "The Lottery" the one about randomly stoning people???
-
I was too young to not only be exempt from almost all thrill rides, but to also not comprehend the differences...unfortunately.

Many things, before Kentucky Kingdom even closed. I didn't know this guy knew Ed Hart Personally and I didn't even know Ed lived far from louisville. The Inteperter knows where Ed lives and doesn't want to give out that information! and I also didn't know Ed would never want to open/take over/ buy Kentucky Kingdom ever again.
But fighting31irish, how many times have you been to Kentucky Kingdom?
Very, Very many times...being as I have lived an hour and a half away my whole life...
-
Btw, to anyone else who cares...ALWAYS trust Terpy. Never, since joining this website, have I received false information from Mr. Interpreter.
I received quite a bit of false information from MR. INTERPRETER!
but yes, Ed is a resident of Kentucky. His KKRC headquarters is about 2 miles from the park.
Like???

...I don`t understand why people think that it is a good business decision to try and reopen the park, especially with the backing of the state of Kentucky. The Louisville market has some stiff competition with Kings Island and Holiday World short drives from the city.
...and Beech Bend, which competes while PAYING state taxes which would be used in part to fund its competitor. If I were the owner of Beech Bend, I'd be beyond livid.
Forget Beech Bend...I'M livid...

Also, how can I feel confident in a business plan that does not have enough investors to support itself??? Granted, it's a recession but that seems shady to me...

This whole bond thing isn't just about Kentucky Kingdom, its about the whole state. With this bond, The state of Kentucky will bring in Hundreds and Hundreds of Jobs into this viewing area. We wouldn't be loosing any jobs by the way. More hotels, tourist attractions, etc will start to make money once again, also bringing a lot more money into the state of Kentucky.
We all know Kentucky Kingdom failed in the past for obvious reasons, but did it fail with Ed Hart? umm... I think not. Why are you all against the park being successful? Everyone knows the park can (or will) be successful.
We doubt it because WE pay taxes and it's OUR money. If I felt confident, I'd invest at my own will...not because I'm forced to. This has got to be one of the most ridiculous business propositions of ALL time. If Hart truly wanted to re-open KK, then he would find the investors to fund it, instead of greedily "bumming" (for lack of better words) of the state and it's citizens.
To all: Just curious...is Ed Hart a resident of KY?

If this were to somehow pass...I would want to be admitted into the park whenever I so choose, being as I would feel like a part owner, and my money is already invested in it. If you want to put your money into it...buy a few shares of their stock...don't make me pay for it.

Heres a new video. I hope everyone watches and listens to it with an OPEN mind.
So if I'm a "tenant" of an apartment, I can ask my landlord for the money to my rent??? No, because I would have gotten the apartment, planning on paying my own rent...which is what I feel like Hart is saying.

-Sorry for the repost...

Closing day was full of some notable KIC'ers that were pointed out to me. I hope to meet a lot of members next season.
Next year you me and Jasper should hang out.
Fersure, man!

Seem to be. Haha. I will hopefully be making at least 3 trips, so that may be something I'm going to look in to.

I've said it before, I like Wiki. If nothing else, you can check the sources of the majority of the information. If not, then just take it as if it were false, or search for confirmation yourself. A lot of my teachers recommend using Wiki to search for sources. So while Wiki itself may not be 100% reliable, it can't guide you to somewhere where you can.

I would bet the EASIEST ride for ops to work at this year was Son Of The Beast!!!
Talk about low pressure.
Haha. Nice one, can't believe I didn't think of that one. Very good.

I honestly don't believe the kids that run these monstrous machines get enough credit for what they do. They have many lives in their hands to an extent, for minimal earnings. People get paid a lot more to do a lot less in this world. Not to mention the disrespect that they receive from unruly guests who don't know their place in the park. I have respect for those ride ops and what they do. I'm sure it is not as easy as it often looks and their hard work is taken for granted.

burgtoad67, I remember seeing you in the back seat as well. I am fairly new to all of this as well. I've always loved coasters, but never really new there was this kind of society formed around them, or even that the industry was so complex. I was fortunate enough to have a friend teach me the ropes of KI as well as KIC early. So far this site has tripled my knowledge of Ki and other parks. Most everyone I've seen on here really knows what they're talking about, and you and I will learn from them as well. I must say welcome as well!!!

Instead of having to navigate away from this wonderful website, how much are the season passes for HW? PKIboy, I actually saw you up there this summer. I was holding our place in line for Voyage when you ran into Jasper. This was before I had became a member of this site, however.

I like Google Earth. It's the only map where you can find SOB. *fighting31irish sobs*

Not to say I wish injury upon them...but it's better them than an innocent soul.
