  1. Are you a scareactor? If so which one are you? We're going this weekend and we'll stop and say "HI"
  2. I'm pretty sure if you go to the building to the left of the main entrance that has a sign that reads "Tickets" with the printed out voucher, they will direct you inside, take your picture, and give you a plastic card with gold pass written on it. At least they have for me and my wife the last 2 Octobers when we bought them.
  3. Here's another one from my collection: _____________________________________________________________________________________________ . . _____________________________________________________________________________________________ It's a picture of roller coaster in a field. Oh yeah, the picture was taken after the coaster was demolished and hauled away. They forgot a couple of bolts. Then it snowed on the field.
  4. Man you just don't know when you're serving up a softball to the Terp! A wicked wordsmith you are.
  5. I want to start a topic about how you FEEL about SOB being removed. Since there's already topics about rumors of it, pictures of it and a discussion of it. Frankly, I'm sad and glad, happy and mad, feel good and bad. The only constant...is change.
  6. Don't sweat the different fog. There was a storm rolling in Friday and it was sort of windy. Wind vs fog.... wind wins always.
  7. The swing in my back yard has a larger active seat capacity than WS now.
  8. I think that number is a little different now: WindSeeker- 00 riders, Starflyer- 24
  9. ^ Careful about planning a trip on the 30th. I believe you'll be disappointed: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/hours-directions/kings-island
  10. Positive he got us in the 80's! .."Now this topic got political"....Lighten up its just a joke.
  11. The only thing the Madame needs to work on is the end of the que/beginning of the attraction. The big bat Devil monster, goblin, bubba, (I know you all had a name for him/her) has a table in the middle of that room now. When you go in, the separator makes you go to the left or right of the long table and takes the obligatory picture. Then the 2 lines walk along the table to the entrance of the attraction. The problem is they didn't send the lines equally and people that were way behind us ended up going well ahead of us. Very slow que, but definitely worth the wait.
  12. I couldn't find a topic about this so here goes: Just got back from KI (9/21/2012). Tonight was not packed. Madame Fatale's was FANTASTIC!!! The level and depth of the theme was very well done. I'm not giving anything away so don't ask. Nightmare Alley was kind of weak(maybe first night kinks), unless you're scared of eyeballs in trees, then beware. Loved Freak Street. Fog and Lasers and Freaks oh my!! Carnevil was the usual dose of 3D fun. I love walking through the tunnel without holding onto the rail. Holiday Horror was same as last year, not too scary but well themed with some good effects. Didn't see the drummers, but the stage looks great, and really happy to not see any midget wrestlers. International street had some great scareactors all over. The dancing Michael Jackson scareactor was a terrific dancer. Walked on many rides, had a great time. Saw some lightning in the distance, so we came home. What are your thoughts on Haunt this year?

  14. There was dis cousin of mine....name of Frosty......he was a jolly, happy soul....til he stole one of my jokes......now, he ain't so jolly or happy no more. You don't wanna know what happened to his corncob pipe either. That's all I'm sayin'.
  15. Servatti has good quality treats, great addition. I'm all about local food at the park. When Snowwoman and I first visited KI we lived in NC. We were floored by the local food options offered. I tried Skyline and was hooked. She tried Graeters and we thought they accidentally dropped a whole chocolate bar in her ice cream(we loved it) LaRosa's is better at restaurants, but still cool to be in the park. Izzy's would also be an amazing addition. Edit: This topic and "Upgraded Food Options" are running parallel as far as the discussion. Go read that topic and prepare for De ja vu.
  16. Getting stuck up there for 3 hours after making sure you've had enough to drink could cause a whole different problem. You might join the group "The Soggy Bottom Boys"!
  17. Everyone's clamoring for demolition photos. Just watch this in reverse!
  18. With today's advanced computers and mechanical marvels, WHY does it take 3 hours to crank down what I guess is a basic wench mechanism? Snowwoman said she would have to see 3 monkeys (not just 1) flying out of my butt before she gets on that thing again. Me too! Not the 3 monkeys thing, I just won't ride it again.
  19. ^There's a 50% a Fast Lane discount on level 2. Is that what you're talking about?
  20. Do you have any idea the hours I sit in my basement, eating Cheetos, trying to write something that's entertaining to read? If you scan back over my past posts you'll clearly see that the hours to funny ratio isn't very good. Now you want to steal my itty bitty thunder crack, huh? Just kidding...Welcome to KIC!! Revenge is a dish best served cold!!!
  21. Come to think of it, last year at Haunt in the Festhaus. There were these guys that were a good bit shorter than most people. They dressed really funny too. They'd get in something called a ring(which was odd 'cause it was a square) and proceed to beat the livin' snot out of each other with garbage can lids and office equipment to a point where they'd actually bleed a little bit. Security would just stand there and watch! It was almost like KI wanted them to do this. Weird stuff.
  22. True. I still remember last year's parade of parents who hadn't learned that dragging bags and tykes out of the park. Some of them even had strollers, but still looked exhausted from the hiking.
  23. Holy Underwear Batman... Talk about a hike. Imagine a parent with a dressed up little tyke or two, unloaded from the parking lot over to walk around Soak City. Then hauled all the way over to DA to pay a fee to go through there and trick or treat. Then back to the car. Wow, there's going to be a lot of tired parents with little ones draped over them. I feel for them.
  24. I'm not arguing with you, but please help me understand something. What's political about discussing, and being unhappy that a corporation was sneakily (Komen's name was nowhere during the event) allowed to fund raise thousands of dollars in our park?
  25. Wow, a 5 year post bump to add "likes"! Were there even like buttons back then? OK, so I'll try to post a date appropriate response: Man, I'm glad CF bought KI. If they ever decide to add a respectable B&M coaster, I swear my wife and I will pack up our stuff, and move to Cincinnati! (I'm not worried, CF will never pay the big bucks for a B&M so close to CP)
