If I had to guess, The reason they have the leg restraints is because of the Launch System that propells the car.

I would not be surprised if Restraint systems in all parks get looked at, I know one ride I will not ride is Firehalk because the restraint system. Restraint isnt riggid enough for my tastes. My thoughts go out to the family.

Went today and the good was great and our server was on top of it. best part ever I went in expecting to pay $40 dollars before tax and tip and even with tip payed 41. First trip to the park this year and i will deffently have this on my schedule every trip. wonder if prices are going to go down in the park for food? Or Even better is this a sign of things to come for Kings Island? wouldnt mind a couple sit down resturants

Just rode top gun aka flight deck twice today and it was smooth sailing. I do think that when they revamp that area which is way over due that top gun will be back among the park Also I checked out the construction and there is a 100 by 100 foot area with footings going in. Will be very interesting to see what goes there.

I would imagine that when or if they open up that area around Flight Deck with more rides and a new section that was rumored that flight deck will not only not be a walk on ride but its que line will change to go into the new path. Just a guess but that is what logic would tell me.

I used to work for the USS nightmare and we would have this happen all the time almost. Although we had emergency buttons in almost every room that would go back to a control panel.

something i would like to see is Top Gun now known as Flight Deck Being moved up to where the SOB now sits that would give a huge amount of space left for a couple of coasters

Coney heard a rumor while working at coco key as a lifeguard that you guys are using a underwater breathing system to alow your lifeguards to be underwater longer.

Just thinking what they could do with the SOB. they should make a roller coster inside the Son of Beasts skeleton name it revenge of The Beast ? It would loop in and out of the old SOB framework.

that land belongs to the beach they are currently only using 35 acres what they didnt say was that there is about another 50-75 acres that is grass land very possibly to make bigger or better than Soak City if the right buyer wanted to.

would love a water coaster such as the one on the premier rides web site to go with the river town side of the park good replacement for the tomb raider (the crypt) ride, ooo or even a pipeline coster

Sorry but i dont see the beach getting any better any time soon. Worked there for 3 seasons (Lifeguard,Security,First Aid) then desided that enough was enough. BTW I know that they do not equip these lifeguards right. they lack in rescue tubes as is? (These are used so that the guest has something else to grab ahold of instead of the lifeguard which puts the lifeguard in Danger) I can count on two hands how many of those are out in the park. Every Lifeguard is supposed to be equiped with these but alais they are not. Also standard equipment for a lifeguard is a bathing suit, t shirt, hat, wistle,fanny pack with CPR mask in most parks. I for one will not go there again untill that is fixed. Also again this is the only park that uses red cross training for lifeguards. There is a reason greatwolf lodge, coco key, Kings Island, Coney Island and the City of Cincinnati uses Ellis and Associates Training it is because it is better. It was night and day between Coco Key and the Beach. We got the equipment and was tested more at Coco Key than what i was at the Beach. At. Coco Key we were regularly tested With two V.A.T. Dummies. I can tell you i was never tested at the beach in any manor. Twice a month at Coco key we were required to go to training to practice our skills. Not once were we required to go to any continuing ed classes at the beach. I can tell you the 10/10 rule which is 10 seconds to visualize and 10 to respond. Is probally the greatest thing ive learned in lifeguarding. Also Ellis and associates teaches us to constintly scan the entire pool including the bottom of the pool. Read up on Ellis and Associates you can see why im going on and on about them. Gordon im not saying what you are saying isnt true and i honor your opinion, im just saying they have been saying that for years and they do have the space for those slides i hate seeing them sit there and rot. On a different note. As far as the cleanliness of the park It is dequsting and will most likely be their downfall if they dont fix it.

As far as the Beach goes they are in financial troubles. The improvement that they made last year really didnt cost very much as I recall. Also this is the only waterpark that i know of that buys waterslides and lets them rot in their parking lot. Unless the beach does a massive expansion there is no way they could stay competitive. you know there is a problem when the owner doesnt realize that charging 8.50 to park and 25 in the door just isnt worth it. The owners need to take off the blinders and open their eyes. Their park is so run down its NOT funny. Did a google search on customer reviews and its a bad thing when a buisness ranks 3 stars let alone a Waterpark. Also what system of training dio these lifeguards have? Look up Ellis and Associates which every waterpark but the Beach uses this system is probally the best program ive ever used.

i just thought of this what is the possibility they have been building a coaster right under our noses??? I remember a while back hearing about them clearing land to expand the Dinosaur Park. what if that is a lie and not a lie at the same time what if they are building a dino themed rollercoaster???

I remember working the platform on the tower and when people would leave the platform to go back down I would say Welcome to Drop Zone. (Hilarious especially with someone afraid of heights. Also I remember working WWC and being able to make the cannons at tower 2 and 3 to be able to shoot a solid stream. I think that was the best part actually. Dave i totaly agree Flight Deck AKA Top Gun really is in desperate need of some lovin. I think they should fix the station up and theme it so you feel like you are actually on a ship. I think it would be so cool (but impractical) to put mock Missiles on both sides of the Car. Also i think that themed costuming needs to make a comeback it was such a shame when they did away with themed costumes. Myself I hated the blue polos when we had to wear them as they were to hot. And i think the Red uniforms are just plain Tacky.
