  1. Isn't Saturday booked for Nudist Appreciation Day?
  2. Where's Gerry Roslie when you need him?
  3. The Bat was taken down because someone died after they fell out of their seat and landed on top of the track. Yes. That's on top of the track.
  4. By George, I think he's got it! We need a theme park themed like a theme park.
  5. Jiminy Christmas. You people think about this stuff way more than I do, haha.
  6. I'd like to see a section of the park themed around cheese. That's just me, though.
  7. About the video...I'd love to see what that 50-VCR setup looked like.
  8. This isn't really related to dumb things people said, but while we're on the topic of Flight Deck... I rode it for the first time this past weekend (I'm still pretty new to riding most of the larger stuff due to previous squeamishness in general). I liked the speed, but couldn't help but think how much better it would have been had it been as long as The Bat. A pretty thrilling ride overall, and I'd do it again...but the walk through the queue shouldn't take longer than the ride, IMO.
  9. I'm glad to see that The Light has had such a profound effect on your life. Truly, it must be a powerful force indeed to inspire three consecutive posts.
  10. Please say you didn't just call them "The Peanuts". I find it pretty funny that they named a ride after "Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown", which...isn't available anywhere except from VHS collectors.
  11. Hey, at least that's not what they're using SoB's queue for.
  12. It's considerably less nasal in pronunciation than "Nonmet", isn't it?
  13. No one has brought up those golden "lost years" where the coaster was upside-down and running backwards.
  14. I can't say I've ever been particularly inclined to touch the rails or the helix walls.
  15. This I can answer. You see back in the 1920's people actually gambled on pinball games. It became so bad, that pinball machines were banned in the US. In NYC, pinball was banned until the 1970's. That disclaimer is on the machines so people knew they were not gambling machines. There is a great documentary on this called "Special When Lit." I remember seeing pictures of the mayor of Chicago going on a "pinball raid" in the 1920s and surveying destroyed machines.
  16. Vortex is really fun for taking pictures and shooting video .
  17. If they can't manage a few lights during the operating season...
  18. Is this a debate on whether or not that area should stick with German theming? In my opinion, it's been gone for quite some time. The name "Oktoberfest" is obsolete now in terms of KI.
  19. Pretty good, considering the age of most of the rides in that section.
  20. I love how a couple of people support removing the gate because it's been unchanged since the park opened. Since when is that a valid excuse - especially on KI Central, preservationists that we are (for the most part)?
