  1. I wonder how many people consider the KI&MVRR a "ride" in the first place, as opposed to an "attraction".
  2. I noticed that restaurant on my last visit...it appears to have been disused for quite some time.
  3. Would it be nice? Yes, absolutely. Would it require a huge amount of planning and work? Yes, absolutely.
  4. Wow, I had never heard of it before now, but that is pretty darned pathetic. It's like they went out of their way to make it look bad.
  5. As someone who's biked part of the Little Miami/Loveland bike trail, I can confirm this. Ever had a bonobo try to steal your bike?
  6. Wear shirts that say "Will the real Terpy please stand up?"
  7. The Bat. Maybe if it were properly engineered this time around...
  8. As uncomfortable as BLSC's cars are, they're disturbingly accurate compared to the ride quality of an actual Mini Cooper.
  9. My parents and I went to a concert up in Dayton called the "Happy Together Tour", in which they wheel out petrified male vocalists like Mark Lindsay and the Buckinghams and perform some of their most overdone songs. The three of us were cracking up at the realization that Gary Lewis (of the Playboys) sounded exactly - and I mean dead-on - like Big Bird. Yes, the little reverb-laden teenage heartthrob who sang "classics" like "This Diamond Ring" and "Sure Gonna Miss Her" has grown up and become a Muppet. How sad, but more to the point, how freaking hilarious.
  10. Now, that's a horse (nip?) of a different color.
  11. Does the fast launch of BLSC contribute to greying out as well?
  12. So before the yelling, the names were inspired by only spirits? I can't imagine "Invermouthtigo", "Son of Beerst" or "The Chaser" would go over too well with Cedar Fair nowadays.
  13. Vortex for me, followed by Invertigo.
  14. Speaking of which... "Kings Island is going to be building a new looping steel roller coaster with a name inspired by yelling spirits!"
  15. I was surprised by how good WE actually is. It packs a punch for such a small coaster.
  16. They played "Cotton Eye Joe" while stopped at the Rivertown station the last time I rode it.
  17. On that topic - ever tried to fit two 18-year-olds in a Woodstock Express car? It does not work entirely well. Especially when one of them is an off-duty WE ride operator and is making a fool of herself...
  18. I like to call it "the roller coaster for people who hate straight lines".
  19. Does anybody on here have a photo of this they are willing to share? I don't remember ever noticing it, but I am intrigued now!
  20. By chance, is this... ...an old Bat footing? I also saw that there used to be a footing for the Skyride near the lake across from SlingShot, but I couldn't locate it. Any idea if it's still there?
  21. At the Beach, they don't really talk at all. I did hear of a funny incident at Cedar Point, involving a "The Emperor's New Groove" reference. ("WRONG LEVER!")
  22. Does anyone have a clue as to why Flight Commander's queue line (and part of its shelter) was not removed with the ride? They've done their best to hide it, but it's still noticeable with a keen eye.
  23. I feel like most people who remember The Bat remember it being closed for repairs. Thus, I don't think they'd change Flight Deck's name to something with that connotation.
