When you get a little older kid check into some pr/marketing/journalism classes. Any good PR person gives little breadcrumbs to create speculation. its called creating a "buzz", which personally, looking at this thread alone, they've done a darned good job of! I know you're new here and all so let me clue you into a few things. Se those little stats on the right over there <<< that shows the date joined, and the amount of posts and what not. normally (not all the time) the ones that have been around the block tend to know a thing or 2. not to mention I think I can safely say that half of the active posters/"old foagies" have worked for the park/amusement park industry at one point in time, and quite a few of those have learned how this crap works. Pull your head out of your butt and be willing to at least LISTEN to what other people have to say. That is how you will learn. That is how you will make friends. It won't be ready for opening day, but will be ready in the spring. and this goes back to KevinL, the media most of the times does have a heads up from the park itself. Perfect example, when Urgent Scare was first introduced. a week before they had their media night to announce it, they sent a bag of "blood" along with the reporters "medical records" to the stations. Google it, I'm sure the videos are still out there. They knew before even the mods here knew! and guess what... more speculation, more buzz, more thinking and talking back and forth, and it was pretty much agreed that it was most likely some sort of doctor/hospital/medical theme. and tada... guess what it was.... Oh and Kyle I did love that! And for the noobs who don't know... hi. I have spent several years working at Cedar Point, and I remain returning as a Screamster every year and am VERY active on Pointbuzz, I know what meida "heads up" your talking about... such as the press kits Cedar Point sent out about the Whyte Lighting bottling company before the announcement of Shoot The Rapids, but they had no clue what it was. all the PR is just to get people talking about the park.. and its obviously working. For the record not only have I read every post of this thread before posting I was the first to mention Dinosaurs Unearthed and post a link on this forum to it. I assure you I've been around myself a few times. I not some "noob" talking about Son of Beast or expecting a Coaster of any kind. I know that's not going to happen. so get off you high horse.

I've seen a lot of pictures like this and fully agree. one difference I see is that the skin Calgary photo is obviously a softer skin (Look at where the ropes cross the chest) that would be used for a traveling exhibit. Seeing none of that in the Kings Island photo and looking at where leg meets the body I would say this it a harder skin, Fiberglass or other, so that seems suggest that this will be permanent as i figured.

Sigh... I believe Media if they have a reputable source, none of the articles do, these non cited articles can be posted by almost anyone, there about as accurate as reading Wikipedia. If Don made a statement on the what the new attraction is he wouldn't just walk out and say "its a dinosaur walk-through" and walk away. When the announcement is made tomorrow details will be given if its a walk-thorough they will say who build the Dinosaurs, how long the trail is how many different types of dinosaurs they will be in the exhibit how many scenes bla bla bla bla... and this will all be posted in detail on Kings Islands web sight and facebook till than we wont know for sure... I'm sorry I find it VERY VERY hard to believe Don or anyone from Kings Island would talk to the media about this other than saying the official announcement is coming March 18th. so I still stand by what I said unless you have proof of it coming from Don's mouth and I'm sure I'm not the only one! I can say I was there when Obama said were invading new found Aliens on Venus and I believe it to be about as true as your statement! as far as Ellen's Energy Adventure that looks like what i was talking about. I love how people think because they read it in the "meida" its fact lol. I think it will be some sort of Dinosaurs Unearthed Exhibit as I posted earlier, but defiantly not because it was posted in some online news article. Those are probably written by someone who just glanced through this threat another like it or facebook comments if they some how got leaked info they would now more details. Stop to think things through for yourself guys. Those articles could very easily be wrong and it COULD be something we are not expecting. I find it hard to believe its going to be like any other dino exibit out there. I'm expecting SOMETHING thats going to make this stand out and be unique. --- on a side note.... I cant remember the name of it. but the hope of a new dino show at action theater reminds me of something at Disney. You entered a movie theater with rows of bench seating to watch a movie about Dinos. A few minutes into this previously unseen guardrails covered the ends of the benches and you realized you were sitting in an automated ride vehicle that took you through an opening wall. you than experienced a safari like ride through a dino infested jungle and barley escape a T-rex attack Very cool water and light effects and totally unexpected for me. something like that would have been great!

Every eye to look EXACTLY the same. the fact that we have no way of know what a Dino Eye looked like , fossilized evidence cant illustrate that, that rendering of an eye.. that concept is WAY to close to ignore! I understand you want a coaster or park expansion but face it this is what your getting. Here is a pic of the shipping container and what was taken out sitting right next to the south park entrance. I have no idea about what will be in the announcement, but if I had to guess - I'd say that the item from the container will be mounted on that nice new concrete pad sometime around Friday. I was hoping someone would get a picture of that, but as soon as i saw it It only helped confirm it for me. Before anyone says "That's not the exact same shape, look closely" there are lots of different types of dinosaurs with lots of different sized and shapes, I'm just simply trying to illustrate that the larger dinosaurs can be folded up to fit in a shipping container (yes its a truck in the video, but that doesn't matter, same idea) I would say you should consider yourselves lucky! sure its not a coaster but its a large themed area something Cedar Fair never dose. but i would consider yourselves even more lucky if that actually keep the theme in top condition. Cedar Fair is notorious for not doing this, look at Disaster Transport for a great example. A coaster that cost 3.5 million to build in 1985 they spent 4 million theaming it in 1990 only to let it deteriorate, now they don't even turn the lights on!

Well I've been watching this Forum for a while now and decided to post for the first time. I have been as exited as anyone but I believe i have some bad news... I live in columbus and at the ohio fair grounds they are having a large Dinosaur exist. I know this would have nothing to with Kings Island but while trying to find information on that I came across this site http://www.dinosaursunearthed.com/exhibitions/ notice on the main site for this company that makes permanent and tour exhibits they have a direct quote “In Cincinnati, Dinosaurs Unearthed exceeded our projections by 70% and ended up as the third highest visited special exhibit we have hosted over the years. Overall the exhibition is quite robust in scope and experience.“ this statement and the pictures makes it seem obvious to me that it will be a Dinosaurs Unearth exhibit.
