  1. The 2006 PKI season will debut an expanded version of one of your favorite places in the park! Read an upcoming newsletter issue to find out what will be new in 2006! - taken from PKI newsletter #11. Hmm it does sound like Nick Central will be getting expanded. What do you guys think this hint means?
  2. If staffing was an issue, why didn't they just move the person from outside taking the tickets, to inside where the line merges? I think it would work better.
  3. Now the question is will PKD's be the same as PKI's and PCW's? Or do you think they will change it a bit?
  4. It's been confimed that PKD will get IJST in 2006. Want real proof? Go to IJST PKD Proof Watch the clips on the homepage, and watch the second one. It's advertising 2006 season passes, but they are showing footage of IJST from PKI, and then at the bottom is says New in 2006. What do you guys think about this?
  5. That sucks about Demon Drop. I rode it everytime I went to Cedar Point. So they either have plans for that plot of land, or they finally decided why do they need such an old drop ride, when they have Power Tower.
  6. Yes your right. Paramount Parks Season Passes are not good for admission at Star Trek The Experience.
  7. I've had the experience of catching trains at Beast. Let me tell you, it's really fun. Something as odd as taking the trains off the track really is a lot of work. And even though your pushing them into the transfer track, they are really hard to stop.
  8. That's KCKC. Kenton Coves Keelboat Canal.
  9. ^ From what I understand, you must be a guest at the hotel to use the Waterpark. So they will not be an admission price just to go and use the Waterpark. You must stay at the hotel.
  10. I didn't go to Beast Buzz. But from the photo's of the FoF tour from Beast Buzz. The Cobra Trains were still inside the drum at FoF.
  11. Yeah I have to agree. You can't always judge a book by it's cover. It could be many different things, while certain rides have problems not just Huss. Heck look at cars, new cars get re-called everyday. Things break, get over it.
  12. Are you all missing the point, that most of the rides will be going thru the winter rehab. They wouldn't have enough time to start rehab in January and have the park ready in April. It takes alot of time for what they do to each ride in the off season. All coaster cars, and ride cars are stripped completly down and rebulit. Besides they will be alot of other things to do during Winterfest, at least we will have 3 rides at the least open. I was kinda surprised myself though, that they didn't menition that the bumper cars would be open. Of course they may be, we'll just have to wait and see.
  13. ^ Yeah TOPGUN probably with the heat index it was felt that hot. I know it Dayton it was about 94 and it felt like 105 with the heat index.
  14. I think we should all be greatful that PKI is bringing such an event back. So what if it's not like it was before. Times change. I think PKI is just doing what other events are doing. Such as The Beach, The Zoo etc.... I'm sure alot of research went into this. What I mean is charging for parking, a higher admission price etc... I for one can't wait to visit PKI in December again. Thank you PKI. I also heard that to speed up the set up for Winterfest they hired some outside contractors to do this. Think about it, PKI is open until the last weekend in October, so they have about 1 month to get everything set up for Winterfest. I think this is another reason for the higher prices. Kinda like how Fearfest was when it first debut. Heck I was a PKI employee in 2000, and I had to even pay for Fearfest that year. Get over it, and just wait until Winterfest opens before you judge. It may be totally worth the money.
  15. As of right now, looks like only Kings Island, and Carowinds are getting Winterfest. Not sure if the other 3 parks will have it this year or not. Unless they will announce it at a later date.
  16. Gross!!! And your post about spitting on people below, that is just very wrong. Did you know that's against Ohio State Law? At least I know it is from the Tower, I would just assume it would be from anything high up.
  17. Mine was between 2 to 3 hours for FoF during the first season of operation. I thought we would never get on the ride. Esp after watching that pre-show like 10 times so it seemed LOL. Remember the old signs. It will be aprox 2.5 hrs from this point until we have you in our control...
  18. Wow now that is cool. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Now with The Beast. They have to be a reason why they are signs going up the second lift, warning you to keep your hands down. And I know most coasters have signs that says, keep hands and feet inside. But on The Beast it says Caution and whatever it says on the sign underneath the word Caution. And then the speil "Caution please keep your hands down and inside the car, please remain seated at all times" I have heard of people hitting there hands on the side of the tunnel before. If your in the left seat your closer to the tunnel walls then if your on the right seat.
  20. Yeah I agree with you. Are the ride ops still not using the gysers out by tower 3? I do agree with out the ride ops using them, it takes away from the ride. Maybe we should voice our opinions to PKI on this one.
  21. Yeah that's why on The Beast you hear "Caution Please Keep your Hands Down and Inside the Car, Please Remain Seated at all times Thank You." LOL
  22. Gotta love rumors. LOL this make me laugh.
  23. No need to have the Octoberfest sign anyway. They are not much left of that area anyway. They really need to rethem this area, or give it to the Action Zone or Coney Mall areas.
