  1. So I want to give credit where credit is due. On Saturday afternoon around 3:30ish I took my son through the pizza line in Festhaus and it moved fairly quickly. There was a holdup with people refilling their cups & the cashier seemed to struggle. No biggie...it was only the second weekend so she will eventually catch on. That night we got cheesesteaks at the pit by Diamondback and they were really fast there as well. We went back on Sunday and hit up Subway in Coney. There were 2 lines. The one line moved fast and the other which was the one I was in was really slow. I almost wanted to tell the kid nicely "hey I am okay if my sandwiches don't look pretty" lol. Sunday evening we went to Skyline on Intl Street. The line there was surprisingly quick but they ran out of fries & chili. But it was time to close when we were there. All in all, so far I am seeing an improvement so far. I still say that there should be a separate line for drinks. I have not bought & do not plan to buy a souvenir cup. :-) I usually take a bottle of water but I forgot...so I went to the stand in Coney by the bumper cars to ask for a cup of ice water and after waiting a good 10 minutes the worker told me that as of this year they're not allowed to give out cups of ice water. Needless to say I was miffed.
  2. I mentioned some of this same info in another thread...but I called them as a friendly FYI to let them know my experiences w/ the very slow food service last year. If they don't know something is wrong they can't fix it. Anyways, I was assured that they are aware of the issue & they have new mgmt in food service who are working to correct it. I hate to say this but I will believe it when I see it. I was discussing this issue w/ my mom & dad and they wondered if mgmt was telling the employees to work slower so that people will get out of line so they don't have to serve as much food. Either way, people need to be held accountable. Whether it is food service mgmt holding the workers accountable Cedar Fair for holding mgmt accountable. Something has to happen. I would've bought the refill bottle this year but they go through the same line as food orders. Imo, it would help GREATLY to make a separate line for drinks in all restaurants. Also, the more complaints they get, the more likely they are to respond. :-) Annnnd, I wondered even if mgmt was telling the employees to work slower so that people will have to wait longer & get out of line...because if that happens less food is served.
  3. Yes, they had the water bottle fountains last year. I believe that was a new feature added then. :-)
  4. called regarding the slow food service about and gave them a friendly FYI that the dining plan itself is great but the service was very slow last year. They told me that there is a new food & beverage manager this year & even agreed that last year wasn't up to par as far as speed of service. I didn't make it today but with the reviews I am reading I want to give the workers the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are still learning but I hope it improves greatly from last year. :-) smile emoticon
  5. Agreed in regards to the speed of food service. Last year we got the dining plan for myself & my 2 sons. Overall we were satisfied with the dining choices of restaurants & dining options (I do wish they had more healthy options besides Subway) but found that the food service was very slow. Some stations were not as bad (Subway in Coney was one of the better ones). But most often they were understaffed and those who were staffed worked slowly.

  7. My family & I really enjoy looking @ the webcams even during the off season...even though nothing is going on. But I wish there were more webcams. I've made this friendly suggestion to the park n the past but at that time they had 4. Now they're reduced to 2.Would anyone else like to see more welcome be added? :-)
  8. I would definitely tear down SOB since it's no longer used & I think Adventure Express would also be good to go (seats are tiny). I don't know what those should be replaced with. But I do think that some more should be added to Boomerang Bay.
