  1. I agree with Snowman, I don't think visits matter as much as how much money you spend in the park. I have 17 visits and am almost to Level 4, but we spend an average of $20-$30 each time we go. We should reach Level 4 this weekend.
  2. I would love it if they could bring back Enchanted Voyage. My mom tells me about it and I've seen videos of it and would love to experience it myself.
  3. That would be so awesome!! Glad you like the pictures, I'm going back down next week to take some more. I'll post the new ones for everyone to see.
  4. We drove by the park today and took some pictures from behind Great Wolf Lodge. Here are a few of the ones I took.
  5. I hope KI gets Luminousity next year, I went to Cedar Point this year and really enjoyed the show at the end of the night. Everyone left the park singing "Call Me Maybe", it was fun!
  6. Thanks for all the advice on Vortex, I will give it another try in seat 5-1 and let you all know the outcome.
  7. I went to KI with my sister two days in a row last week, Thursday and Friday. We were going to do the homeschool booklet thing but *shrugs* eh. When we got there late in the afternoon, we rode Delirium. No line and empty seats. It was a quite enjoyable day beacuse all the rides had no lines. After we did Delirium, we went to Invertigo and rode twice without getting off or switching seats. From there, we went to the Planet Snoopy log ride and then to WWC and got SOAKED! It was awesome... After WWC we went to Vortex for my first ever ride on it, I didn't really want to ride it but I made myself ride. I should have listened to others on KIC because it was rough and beat my head. I don't know that I want to ride it again but my cousin will probably make me ride with him at least once. That may be my last ride on Vortex ever. From there we went to FoF and I noticed as we were walking through the building they didn't have the movie running or the lights on. It was great because it was a literal walk on ride. I decided that since I tried Vortex I should try Firehawk as well. We had about a ten minute wait for the ride and made some friends in line who we ended up riding with in the back row. I was a little nervous to ride but it didn't look like a bad ride. I changed my mind as soon as they laid us down to start the ride, I thought "Oh crap what have I gotten myself into!" As soon as the ride was over I couldn't wait to see our picture,it was hilarious. We actually bought the photo it was so funny. I have decided that the two new rides that I tried on Thursday, were two rides I will never ride again. I'm happy I tried them because they were the only coasters I hadn't ridden in the park and now I don't have to ride them again. That was an awesome Thurday at the park. Now moving onto Friday's trip which was a great trip as well. We got to the park late afternoon again and ate at Panda Express in FH, food was amazing, we love Chinese food. While we were eating my mom told me IndyGuy was at the park that day and she had his phone number. Once we were done eating she texted him and we met up at Diamondback. I was excited to ride with a fellow KICer. We rode DB quite a few times, a couple times at night, which was a first for me. We did The Beast a few times, one was a night ride which was great. We rode Invertigo in the front/back seat which was another first for me thanks to IndyGuy. We also did Delirium, Flight Deck, Adventure Express, The Racer, Flight of Fear and Backlot Stunt Coaster. All of them were AMAZING! I really had the best time waiting in the lines and getting to talk to IndyGuy about KI and not have to explain everything like I have to do with most of my friends. Thanks IndyGuy for not running off and riding by yourself when you found out that you were stuck with a bunch of girls! XD I hope we can do it again soon!
  8. Thanks for pushing me to ride Invertigo in the front/back seat, it was a great ride. I'm happy we were able to meet up, my family and I loved it. Being able to hang out at the park with another member of KIC made for a great day at the park. We'll have to do it again some time. BTW, my sister's name is Summer, but it's okay that you forgot!!
  9. Flight Deck was operating today, I rode it twice. They closed it around 5:00 due to weather, I'm not sure what time they reopened it. I was on the final ride before they closed it for the storm, I saw lightning while I was going up the hill.
  10. I just wanted to update everyone on the problems at the hotel. My mom contacted the management at Breakers Express today and they gave us a discount on our stay. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Hopefully this never happens to any of their future guests. This was my first trip to another park other than KI since I started riding coasters and I can't wait to go back again next year. I really want to ride Dragster and Magnum.
  11. I was so excited that my aunt and two cousins invited me to go on their trip to Cedar Point with them. This was a first trip for myself and my cousins. We left for Sandusky on Sunday morning about 10:30 and got to our hotel, Breakers Express, about 3:00. As far as the hotel is concerned, we were very disappointed considering it is a Cedar Point Resort. They are very basic rooms with double beds, no refrigerators or microwaves. We didn't expect it to be fancy or anything but a little nicer for the money we paid to stay there. The worse part of our stay was on our first night in the hotel my mom opened the drawer to the nightstand and found dirty boxer shorts, dirty socks and a man's tank top that someone had left there and housekeeping had not discovered. When housekeeping brought up our rollaway bed, we told her about the under garments, she was very surprised and took them away with her. It made us wonder just how well they actually clean the rooms. The park perks we got from staying at the resort were great but we certainly will not stay at this particular resort again next year. So now on to my park report. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. for early ride time and entered the park through the Marina gate, a very useful tip I learned from someone here on KIC. My aunt and I headed straight to Millenium while my cousins went with my mom to Raptor. We had about a fifteen minute wait for Millenium and they had a ten minute wait on Raptor. We all enjoyed our rides, and I must admit that even though I love Diamondback, I think I like Millenium, a little more. From there we met up at Iron Dragon which was about a five minute wait. The ride was fun but we all prefer Top Gun/Flight Deck. From there we went straight to Maverick which was about a thirty minute wait. Considering the fact that I had only ridden Flight of Fear one time, this was my second inverted coaster. It banged my head a little but it wasn't horrible, I will definately ride it again next year. This was the end of ERT and we were happy that we each got three major rides in before 10:30. From Maverick we decided to do a few smaller rides so we did the Caddillac cars which was fun because it was the first time we had ridden anything like it. I wish KI still had cars to drive like that. We did the Cedar Creek Mine ride and we all agree that AE is much better. Then my cousins and my Aunt rode Skyhawk which they really enjoyed. I'm not that big of a thrillseeker to ride with them. We then went to Thunder Canyon which was really fun, I was the driest one coming off the ride, it was awesome. We prefer WWC because it is a longer ride but we did love the waterfalls on TC. I liked the fact that we could take our shoes off and leave them in the bucket. We didn't have to worry about anyone stealing our shoes because my mom stayed and watched them. We looked at some of the shops in Frontier Town, that was pretty neat. We talked to the man in the wood carving shop, he was really nice. My mom talked to a girl in the rock store about KI. The girl has never been to the park and is planning to come down with a friend sometime this summer. My mom suggested she does not come on a Saturday, if it has to be on the weekend she should come on a Sunday. Then we headed towards the front of the park and did some souvenir shopping. We all got t-shirts and I also got a keychain with my name on it. Then we rode Cedar Downs which was really fun because we got to race each other. I won both times. Then it was time to ride Matterhorn which we really enjoyed as well. We rode the skyride a few times, this was my first time on anything like that and I was nervous but it was better than I thought it would be. I got some good pictures on this ride. After all of this, my day took a drastic turn, I came down with some type of a stomach bug. I went to the first aid station and they were really nice and let me lay down, drink some gatorade and eat crackers. This helped alot so I headed back out into the park after about an hour. I made the mistake of riding Gemini as soon as I left first aid and I ended up having to have the firstaid truck come and pick me up and take me back to the station. The EMT that rode in the back with me was really nice. He talked to me about the different coasters at both KI and Cedar Point. I ended up spending the rest of my night at the first aid station. The worst part of being there was hearing the train every five minutes going "toot toot". The EMT was so nice that he had a driver take my mom and I to our car at the end of the night. It was pretty awesome because I got to see some of the back parts of the park, we went behind Mean Streak and Millenium Force. My cousins got to ride a few more rides than I did but that's okay I got to go behind the scenes in a sense. Once the driver dropped us off at the gate we sat and watched Luminosity. We all really enjoyed the show, DJ Shadow was awesome. We left the park about 11:15, everyone walking out of the park in our group was singing "Call Me Maybe". So this is my Trip Report for my first trip to Cedar Point, I hope you enjoy it. We can't wait to go back next year. I didn't get to ride Top Thrill Dragster, Magnum XL-200 or Mean Streak since I got sick so they will have to wait til next year. We are planning to stay at Castaway Bay next year. We went there on Tuesday before we left to play at the waterpark and it is a very nice hotel. Certainly much better than Breakers Express and the dirty underwear suprise in the drawer.
  12. While we were at the park last Monday we went back to the movie just to get out of the heat for a little while. At that point and time all the lanes were full except for the top one. We've done the movie a few times this year, but we usually use it to get out of the heat for a little while.
  13. I have been to the park 12 times and spent about a hundred dollars and still at level 1 as well. I thought I would be at level two by now but at least I have two rewards to choose from.
  14. We got Thank You letters from them as well, that was very nice of them to take the time to do that. We also got a Newsletter from them and the picture they used for that was of me and my new friend in the front seat coming down the hill. I was thrilled when I saw it. I can't wait for next year!
  15. 1. Big Time Rush 2. Carly Rae Jepsen 3. Katy Perry
  16. We were actually at the park today and I thought about this post. The person I was with wanted to just leave the bags out and not spend the $12 on a locker but when I told them your story, they were happy to spend the money and lock everything up. It can be a hastle but it's well worth it in the long run.
  17. Yeah ohiocolts, I was pretty easy to spot, or should I say hear! You should have said hi, I had fun meeting the KI Central people. I met Avatar and Indyguy, and best of all Don Helbig, it was awesome.I had so much fun, I can't wait to do it again next year. James, Carlos, Logan, KENDALL!!
  18. This is my first year to participate and I can't wait, it sounds like so much fun and the money goes to a great cause! Can't wait to meet everyone on Sunday!
  19. I know I'm younger than the rest of you guys, but, I think this song by Big Time Rush would be great because we're Elevating! I won't be upset if we don't do it, just an idea. Can't WAIT until Sunday!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55H2ostS8f4
  20. As always, call the park in advance for official word...but my guess is the park will totally understand your mother's feelings and let her walk back with you. Thank you, my mom is going to check with the park when we go on opening day.
  21. You won't be the youngest one there, I am 13 and I am on the team. I hope you decide to come, it sounds like alot of fun.
  22. My mom is coming to the event with me, but she isn't participating. She would like to know if she will be able to come into the park with me, but she doesn't want to send me in without an adult. She has a Gold Pass but she's worried she won't be able to come in with me since she isn't signed up. Has this been an issue in the past?
  23. Thank you IndyGuy4KI! I'm really excited, I love The Racer. Funny thing is I never rode a coaster before last year and now I'm crazy about them. Can't wait to meet other members of KIC.
