  1. Thank you for doing this, it has been such fun looking at the pictures of the park that I grew up at. It's been great to show my daughter how the park looked when I was growing up compared to how it is now. She is turning into quite the KI enthusiast.
  2. I miss everything about the park, especially the Blue ice cream, it's the BEST ice cream ever!! I just started riding coasters this season and now I can't believe I waited so long to start enjoying them. Can't wait to be back on The Beast!
  3. We were there last Sunday and the wait times were about 10 minutes or less on the busier rides. It was nice weather last week but there was a Bengals game.
  4. I hope they don't take it down because my daughter just started riding coasters this year and Flight Deck is one of her favorites.
  5. Coming off of Flight Deck yesterday I heard a guy telling his friend that they took the loop out of SOB because people kept passing out during the ride.
  6. This is from their Facebook page so maybe this was their announcement: It has been confirmed that the shaking felt in Southern Ohio on Tuesday was not related to the earthquake. It was the Ruyang Yellow River dinosaur being unearthed in Dinosaurs Alive! at Kings Island. This dinosaur is the world's largest animatronic dinosaur, measuring an incredible 72 feet long, 12 feet wide and more than 40 feet high! And there's only one place to see it. Dinosaurs Alive! at Kings Island Labor Day Weekend, September 2-5.
  7. My daughter and I are going to do the Pink Ribbon record, she's really excited about it. I hope they are able to get enough people to break the record.
  8. We were riding Zephyr on Thursday and the ride op actually said, "Please enjoy the rest of your day at Paramounts Kings Island"! I thought I just heard him wrong but then my daughter asked me if I heard what he had said.
  9. Of all the things to be remembered for, I finally have something to be proud of! Glad ya'll had fun, and sounds like another coaster junkie is born. (I would add a WindSeeker/butt joke, nahh, it's just too easy!) Well, I can guarantee you will be remembered in our house!! I know my husband about fell over laughing when I told him about your method. I think it took some of her fear away when we were on the ride because I looked at her and said, "Remember what Snowman said to do!" She was too busy laughing to worry about the ride, thanks again.
  10. I just wanted to let everyone know that we went today and she rode Backlot, it was the very first ride she rode while we were there! She loved it and can't wait to ride it again. I have to say that she laughed when she read Snowman's reply about the butt cheeks. She said she didn't do it but she still didn't get a headache, I might have to try that one the next time though. She was really excited that we got to see the first ride of WindSeeker, that was the reason we went today. She also got to see Don Helbig for the first time and she was thrilled. She wanted to talk to him but he was too busy taking pictures, maybe next time. Thanks again for all the replies, it really helped.
  11. We didn't do any of the big coasters so I can't tell you much about them. I know the log ride and things like that had about a 30 minute wait or so. Sorry I couldn't be better help. Oh, gosh - yeah, I forgot about the waterpark! Were they pretty bad (45 min+)? The last time I went was on a Sunday night, and I remember there being just about minimal wait time for everything except Firehawk/Invertigo.
  12. We were there this past Friday and the lines were not too bad early in the day. Once the waterpark closed at 7:00 the lines seemed to fill up and there was a wait for everything then.
  13. Thank you to everyone that has responded to this post, all the information has been a great help. We are going on Thursday as long as the weather is good, I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks again
  14. My 12 yr old daughter just started riding coasters this year, she has always been scared of them. She rode Adventure Express and Flight Deck for the first time this week. She thought AE was rough and is still not sure about FD, it made her stomoach turn. She's thinking about trying Backlot Stunt Coaster on our next visit but she is a little worried about the part of the track she can't see inside the building. Can anyone give me some info on this coaster so I can help her decide if this is one she wants to try right now? Unfortunately I have never riden Backlot so I have no idea how this ride actually is. I always go with her, especially on her first rides, but I just would like to hear opinions from people who have experienced the ride. Thanks for any help you all can give me.
  15. BB is charging $15.00 for a locker but $5.00 is a deposit for the key. When you take the key back they give you the option of getting your $$ back or you can get a small stuffed animal. We always take the $$.
  16. Some schools here are getting out this week and the rest are getting out next week. We were there today and there were school groups but it wasn't too bad.
  17. My dad won me a giant 6 ft stuffed huskey at the sledge hammer game a few years ago. It took him a couple of years but he finally won it for me and I still have him in my garage.
