  1. Today they were checking them with the restraints already down.
  2. Was only inside the main queue for FoF for a quick minute opening day, but there are new TV screens that replaced the old monitors for the video. Not positive if it was the same video that played before, but I'm pretty positive. Definitely wasn't the typical FUN TV material.
  3. I have to say Banshee is at my #2 spot for now, inching to try and take Millennium for #1. These are the only 2 rides that leave me speechless after each ride. Rows 7 and 8 for the first drop are absolutely AMAZING. Can't wait for future visits to ride the new star of the park.
  4. This has been the best weekend in months! It'll be hard to go back to the cold for a couple days.
  5. I can't wait for the entire thing, but I'm super excited for the dive loop. I can just imagine the quick upside down view at the top. Can't believe Friday is just around the corner!
  6. That is what I was thinking I would gladly assist in the "paint drying" process!
  7. Diamondback for me was 1 1/2 with the line stretching close to the Reds Hall of Fame Grill. I didn't even attempt to ride The Beast, queue was full with the line stretching to the Rivertown "midway." Operations were sadly a bit slow for Diamondback, but that is about expected on opening day.
  8. I'm always amazed when I hear all the work they do to keep the rides running. Its absolutely something I take for granted.
  9. I'm really curious about seeing AZ. I believe its going to feel really empty with 2 ride removals and no more water tower. I'm also very curious as to whats left with the SOB queue area.
  10. That rumor is absolutely false, but no I haven't heard it. I have of course been argued on people dying on SOB, and then there was a 30 minute spiel given to me by a GP in the Backlot queue.
  11. I think this looks great. I really love these type of "path improvements." It really brings some freshness to areas.
  12. It has been quite awhile since posting on here, but my visit to KI has fueled the fire in my love for KI and amusement parks in general. I hope these photos will entertain a few people, or give spectators some views they have missed! This "trip report" will be of course VERY small and the phtos were all taken with an iPhone, but again hopefully a few will enjoy! Now on to the pictures! IMG_0438[1] by DamienConnelley, on Flickr Even though this photo does not do any justice, I love seeing the Eiffel Tower while driving down Tylersville rd. I think it really represents how much of an influence KI is on the area. IMG_0439[1] by DamienConnelley, on Flickr Since Invertigo is the most visually accessible coaster outside the gate, I took some easy shots. I'm still amazed at how much better Invertigo looks with the paint job from last season. IMG_0444[1] by DamienConnelley, on Flickr Another Invertigo photo from another angle. I was really hoping Invertigo would test while I was here today, it would've provided a lot better shots! IMG_0440[1] by DamienConnelley, on Flickr This was the shot I was most curious about. I find it very strange without SOB dominating here. It's definitely weird not having two hypercoasters flanking the park. IMG_0445[1] by DamienConnelley, on Flickr And just a quick photo of Diamondback, with Boo Blasters peeking through the beautiful trees. Thanks for viewing! I hope to start posting a lot more and start getting to know everyone better! Feel free to post your favorite photo points @ KI, I would love know! -Magm&MForce24/7
  13. The picnic pavilions left of the entrance are still shown after 1 :25 for less then after it completes the turnaround.
  14. Would they possibly keep the same products at the same parks? (ex-paramount Coke, and the rest Pepsi) It's strange as the Coke Freestyles are new and seem to be popular, but the flagships new show is sponsored by Pepsi.
  15. I know my mom doesn't like the inside queue when I'm off with friends as it's almost impossible to get cell phone reception in there.
  16. That's strange as on Sunday we purchased wrist bands at La Rosa's inside the Festhaus.
  17. I first assumed that it was just for drainage, but looking on Google Earth it seems as though it fed into swan lake at some point.
  18. We purchased two Fast Lane passes on Sunday with two 50% off coupons from Funperks, but was charged $50 instead of the websites price of $55 listed for Sunday.
  19. I believe it should stay free, but more attractions need to be added. SC has over-crowding issues and needs more attractions (path widening would be great too!) to make the park more enjoyable.
  20. KIC, ScreamScape, and occasionally Pointbuzz, but they are way to defensive on there opinions there....goodness I say I find TTD a bit boring and get yelled down my neck....
  21. Thanks everyone for your information. It's strange that this is the first time I've been on the upper platform, guess it's just by chance!
  22. I was in line for the Eiffel Tower yesterday and was surprised, the right elevator was operating. Now I just assumed that there was something wrong with the left elevator, so I boarded normally. Then something else surprised me. This elevator took us to the upper platform. I have ridden the Eiffel Tower many times since moving to Ohio in December of 2006, but I have never gone to the upper platform. I was wondering is this the first time in a while that the upper platform has been in use? Thanks for all who can answer my question!
  23. Considering Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland both have more Fast Lane users I would expect CW to have longer waits, but don't hold that against me.
  24. I have for sure. I think people being just considerate to others has declined too. I have had many instances where people have screamed very high pitched and very loud on purpose thinking it's funny.....when it's not. All of these have only happened within this and last season and one caused me with a painful ear that I couldn't hear out of until the next day. It's very sad that people don't have respect for others in public places. I have also witnessed fairly sketchy behavior in SoB's queue, I would guess it's either A.) The type of crowd was not typically families, but more teenagers and young adults or B.) The queue was secluded from any staff members. One thing for sure is I've found Kings Island A LOT better than Six Flags St. Louis.
