  1. I think it should definitely be pointed out; even if it isn't handled, at least you tried. I actually did see three teens get escorted out of the Diamondback line this summer after line jumping. They'd been in the SRL (still was at the time) and decided they wanted to just hop into the regular line through the railing. It was nice to hear the guy taking them out threatening to call park security on them.
  2. My last one was 810, but my record was somewhere between 900-1000.
  3. While browsing Youtube this afternoon, I came across a video of Drop Tower where someone commented that they "heard a guy got stuck up at the top for an hour, fell asleep, and when the ride started working and dropped, he died of a heart attack." Oooookay.

    Mega Poll

Owners: 1. Cedar Fair 2. Whoever owns the Beach 3. Haven't been to many parks, so n/a Manufacturers: I don't have any preferences here, and like someone above me said, I don't pay much attention. Parks: 1. Kings Island 2. The Beach 3. Cedar Point Rides (in no particular order): 1. Diamondback 2. Magnum XL-200 3. Delirium 4. Flight of Fear 5. Blue Racer 6. Viking Fury 7. Mantis 8. The Beast 9. Raptor 10. Surf Dog
  5. I don't mind the WindSeeker cup, and we bought one. The Diamondback cup is pretty cool, though. My overall favorite is the Delirium cup I bought years ago.
  6. I'm supposed to be going Thursday for the last trip until Haunt. I'm just hoping it doesn't rain much.
  7. Red was pretty rough when I was on it last, so I have to go with Blue.
  8. Delirium. The Viking Fury is a close second.
  9. Definitely The Beast, although there is something about riding the Blue Racer that just makes me so happy. It brings back a lot of memories.
  10. So they bring back the fog for Haunt? I've never been but if I get to it this year, I'll definitely make sure I ride it. I LOVED AE when I was younger; it was my favorite ride and the first 'big' coaster I went on. For me, the theming really made the ride so of course I miss the fog and whatnot. But it's still not a bad ride that I don't mind going on occasionally.
  11. Delirium has a test seat as well, and there might be one other ride that does but it's not coming to mind.
  12. You should be fine, just take advantage of trying out test seats at the rides that offer them and if you're not sure, you can usually ask a ride attendant to try out a seat through the exit. When I was at my highest weight some years back (about 250 lb at 5'6", size 22) I remember The Racer and The Beast being a bit of a squeeze, but I never had issues with the lap bars. It also depends on your actual body proportions as opposed to just the number on the scale. I would say go ahead and try Diamondback, personally. I don't ride Drop Zone so I can't comment on that, just that a lot of people on here have mentioned it can be a very tight fit.
  13. I agree, that's getting a little of hand with the addition of those rides.
  14. If I had to guess, I'd say The Beast. The only coaster I've kept track of my ride count on is Diamondback, and I only started riding it this year.
  15. They were not assigning rows on DB on Monday, yet the entire queue was filled with every turnstile being used. Yet the other times I've been there this season, the line was very short, no more than a 15 minute wait and they were assigning. So I don't know how crowds affect that decision. I didn't get a chance to hit up The Beast that day though. I wasn't thrilled with the assigned seating idea at first, but if they're letting you request the row you want most of the time I don't think it's a big deal.
  16. When I was there Monday I noticed this, too. We were able to walk to any row we wanted and the line still moved just as quickly as when they were assigning seats (in my experience, at least).
  17. A water coaster would be excellent.
  18. I love both, but I gotta go with Diamondback.
  19. I heard someone call Diamondback King Cobra yesterday. At least the woman caught it and corrected herself, but I couldn't help but chuckle.
  20. Glad you had a great time! I was there yesterday as well and my 8 year old cousin from out of town was with me, and finally over the 48 inch mark so we could ride many of the 'big' rides. I too enjoyed getting to experience her first big coaster rides with her (though she didn't go any bigger than The Racer so far).
  21. For a weekday, today was fairly crowded and the only ride I saw FL being used on really was Diamondback, but not a ton of people. The line for the ride was already long as it was (ALL turnstiles were open and being used) but the line still seemed to move at the usual pace thanks to the high capacity. I didn't notice any real impact on the wait times. As an aside, I noticed two girls going into the FL line without wristbands - not sure if they thought it was still the single rider line or they thought they were going to sneak on.
  22. I'd rename Backlot Stunt Coaster to just about anything more creative. Sure it's an appropriate name for the kind of coaster it is, but yeesh.
  23. Finally rode it for the first time today. I thought it was a decent ride - nice breeze, especially on a day like today. Now I need to go on it at night.
