We arrived at KI via the north gate on Tuesday, and it took us 45-50 minutes to get past the parking gate out front. Traffic was almost backed up to McDonald's at a dead stop. When we got to the parking gate, I was surprised to see only person working the gate (thus, the extreme back up). Poor guy--I felt sorry for him. People were road-raging.
When we finally got in, I relayed this information to one of the attendants near the info desk (so maybe they could get more staffing out there). She said to always enter the through South gate (as it is 'staffed better' than the North gate). Do you find this true?
I arrived at 10 am (which I know is opening time), but it was a Tuesday and the third time I've attended this year. This happened to us once or twice last year, too. I'm a frequent-flyer. I've emailed KI, and they did return my call. She said that she would forward it on to management. (I emailed this about this topic last year--doesn't look like they fixed the problem).
You'd think they'd want to get us in (to spend $!) and to prevent blocking traffic into their neighborhing business partners down the road. Geeesh!
