  1. Red...Renovation...Racer on Instagram? Coney Mall webcam's been down for weeks? Maybe? Hopefully?
  2. Just posted: "@KIGMGREG: Did I mention this is a major renovation?" Hmm....
  3. That last shot of The Vortex and BLSC cars...is it just me or does it look like the BLSC cars got some love this off-season, getting rid of those awful opaque head and tail "lights"?
  4. I can't believe I missed this thread back in June... Anyway, I've contacted the park a couple of times suggesting/asking if there was anyway that they could put together an allergen menu of all, or most of the foods in the park. Some things are obvious, like sandwiches or the regular La Rosa's pizza. But I'd like to know what all of my options are, as I'm sure many people would. I know this would increase how much I spend in the park, because right now with my wheat and peanut allergies, I'm limited to about 3 things: Skyline Chili Cheese Fries, the GF pizza, and Dip 'n' Dots. When I was younger, all I ever was able to get was the Dip 'n' Dots because we had no idea what else I could have. This last season was definitely a step in the right direction, I just hope they continue in that direction this season... EDIT: Don got back with me today, and said that they've been working with the food dept and are planning on having this info available this season online and in Guest Services.
  5. Website's up; details coming soon: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/haunt/
  6. In regards to the webcam, there IS a camera pointed toward the general SOB area... If you're on the upper platform of the Eiffel Tower, there's 3 or 4 white domed cameras. Two of which are the ones already on the website: DB and WindSeeker/DA. The one that's pointed toward SOB may not be on the website till they announce what will be built in that area, but at least they're thinking ahead and COULD have it up and online to view the demolition...even though that isn't too likely...
  7. Ah, my apologies....I guess I just thought the slaughter house post was the same as the edited, before you edited it.
  8. There we go, solved that problem. You might wanna check again...double post
  9. It's probably nothing, but I was checking out the Haunt page on the website and happened to notice the URL... http://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/things-to-do/halloween-events/Halloween-Haunt-1-13-12-21 I haven't noticed any other pages on the KI website that have extra numbers on the end, so it may be nothing, but does that mean anything significant about the Haunt to anyone here?
  10. Like Terpy said, the fact that only 25 people were on is a little odd... I was looking at the clipboard that they use to assign seats last time I was at KI, and they do have to balance it depending on capacity and wind speed, something along these lines: 0-10 mph: If less than 64 riders are in line, fill the opposite colored sections, skipping every 8 pods (32 riders, max I think...don't take my word on that though) 10-20 mph: Fill at least all of the outer seats 20-30 mph: 64 riders minimum. 30 mph+: Ride cannot operate. So it seems like 25 isn't enough...no matter what the wind speed was...
  11. So where can you purchase the $5 unlimited 20 oz cup wristband? If they do indeed sell them separately from the souvenir cup refill wristband, why do they charge groups $10 for them, and I'm told by Don that the only ones available are the ones for the souvenir cups? Not trying to be rude or anything, just want to get to the bottom of this because even if they were $10, I'd still be willing to shell out the money to get a drink wristband...
  12. In regards to being able to redeem the same reward twice... I inquired about that two days ago and got this reply today:
  13. So I'm still slightly confused... Can you buy unlimited drink wristbands for the 20 oz paper cups for $5? Or is it limited to refills for the souvenir plastic cups? If you can get the wristband without the souvenir cup, why am I told on Twitter that you have to get the souvenir cup for $10 and add on unlimited refills for $5, and if I want an unlimited drink wristband for the 20 oz cups, I have to be with a group and they cost $10 for each wristband?
  14. Went today, (Yesterday actually.) and the floral clock actually had hands on it today. Past few times I've been it looked like it does in the above pic. So perhaps they're gradually beginning to piece it together? And the Eiffel Tower Topiary with the date on it is in full bloom! Pretty sure I saw the Liberty Bell too, but might be mistaken...
  15. I'd imagine crowds won't be too heavy due to it being a weekday, and Diamondback being closed for "routine maintenance" this week.
  16. I don't believe it is... I was just over at Columbian Park today and I believe all that's left are the train and a few little flat rides, as well as Tropicanoe Cove and the Columbian Park Zoo. I saw an article the other day about the flat rides being refurbished, but I can't seem to find it now... It's a really nice park though for Lafayette, whether its an amusement park or not.
  17. From KI Twitter: We shall see...
