  1. I betcha the filter is set to capitalize Don. As in the great Don Helbig. Probably better to have a few capital "don't"s than non capitalized Don's.
  2. Kinda noticed that, How can i upload images without tapatalk anyway? You need to upload your images to a photo sharing site, like Flickr or DropShots. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photo_sharing Also, Tapatalk is a registered trademark and should be capitalized. (Same for Google, also seen of late.) Not arguing, because I totally agree with all of the capitalizing of trademarks, but an honest question: Would Google be capitalized if it's being used as a verb (I should probably Google/google this..It's used both ways here)? Same with Twitter's verb? (Tweet or tweet [as seen here])
  3. I don't know how it is down in Mason, but up here in Boilermaker country, we're getting upwards to 12 inches of snow... I'm thinking it might be delayed a day or two.
  4. Thanks, I'll have to check that out. It would be nice to be able to share those great thick fries with GatorGirl! I *think* as a way to designate the gluten/peanut free from the normal fries, they (unfortunately) made them more like shoestring fries... I suppose it's better than confusing the two though!
  5. Coming from someone who has 5 family members including myself who are also terribly allergic to bees I can tell your that if you were stung in line, first aid would be able to come to your aid rather quickly. It wouldn't take much for someone to get a ride operator to call 911 GatorGirl has a peanut allergy, and even though we have a good idea of which places to avoid in the park (mainly Potato Works, much to my chagrin ), we always bring her EpiPen with us. Unfortunately, you never know when and where some cross-contamination may occur, and you have to be prepared. I would much rather have it on hand and ready to use than take the risk of First Aid being able to respond in time. (I'm not saying anything bad about KI's First Aid department. They are a great group of people, very helpful, professional and extremely capable in what they do. But on busy and hot days, there may be a number of other calls that they are busy with that would understandably keep them from responding as fast as they normally would.) Luckily, my pockets have always been big enough to hold it, or there's always Mrs. Gator's trusty fanny pack, as long as she's with us. Even better, the new EpiPens that we got at the beginning of the school year are not the long, cigar shaped ones we've always had. They're now more the shape and size of a pack of Orbit gum. You might check out Coney Potato Works... I might be mistaken, but I believe they stopped using peanut oil at that location when they started serving gluten-free? Don't quote me on that though...
  6. Everything that's served at the Coney Mall Potato Works is gluten free, heck, I think they even have gluten-free beer there(still underage so not 100% sure ). The batter on the chicken tenders and corn dogs there are (I'm assuming) a rice and corn mixture, and possibly some other gluten free flours. Yes, it's possible to create a gluten-free bread without gluten and wheat.
  7. Heard gluten-free, had to chime in... I've had an allergy to wheat(gluten) and peanuts since I was 18 months old. Options have DRAMATICALLY improved in the past few years, in general(not just at the park). Up until the park implemented new gluten-free menu items, though, my diet at the park consisted of Dip'n'Dots, an occasional bag of chips, and a soft drink. It was often hard to even get soft serve ice cream because some stands only had cones, no bowls. In recent years though, I've been thoroughly impressed with the reasonably priced gluten-free options the park has. I've also found I can get some chili-cheese fries at Skyline with little to no issues.** **Disclaimer: I know that even the slight cross-contamination that occurs there could throw some people into anaphylactic shock or Celiac issues. Each person with dietary restrictions, as always, should approach restaurants in general at their own discretion due to the potential risk of cross-contamination.**
  8. I feel like I saw a picture from last offseason that they were storing a boatload of trashcans under International Restaurant...
  9. Looks like they're doing something up front...
  10. Looks like the On Location sign has been removed from its building...
  11. [knock on wood] I haven't had any issues recently that I think are caused by the KIC server. Any issues I have had seem to be poor reception in one of the center classrooms of my school that are surrounded by cinder blocks, or the extremely protective filters in place on the school wireless.
  12. I haven't seen anything about it this year, and the "dining room" setting has been removed. So I doubt it...but then again, I haven't heard anything official.
  13. ^ that code number (and the similars) could be found on the blueprint. C, I would believe, just stands for "coaster" because most of the footers have that, with the exception of a few. For instance, the station footers used an S, transfer used a T, I believe. 10 is just the "row" number (since there's 2 supports per "row"). And the L is for left, much like the right footer would have an R.
  14. Great trip report sir! I need to get back up there soon... Haven't been for many years, even though I'm just 30 or 45 mins away.
  15. Sounds like the report/post has been retracted about the water rides being closed for the remainder of the season. See here: https://www.facebook.com/BuschGardens/posts/10151636411463315
  16. As awesome as it'd be to go to the park to meet up with one person specifically (based on shirts, etc), is there anything that can be done/used universally for everyone across the site?
  17. Met a very nice man in line for DB ERT and we were talking about all sorts of coaster stuff. Thought it might be someone from here, but I didn't have the guts to ask about KIC in person, unfortunately. Lol
  18. I was actually wondering the exact same thing today. Glad you asked! Not a stupid thread.
  19. Great trip report fanofFirehawk! Am I correct in gathering you were there yesterday and today? My family and sister's friend were there both days as well... I can attest it was VERY crowded. I hadn't ever seen ERT as long as it was this morning. 2 rides on DB during ERT, with 3 queues in the queue house full...crazy.
  20. For the past few years, at least, there hasn't been a renewal discount for the early purchasers, since it is the lowest price it'll be, even lower than what will eventually be the renewal price. It is still a really great value, even if there isn't a renewal discount early on. ------------------ Edit to add about the price of last years passes: They were actually $79.99 last fall. Found this Haunt brochure in my car this afternoon.
  21. When we go as a family, we'll take one light bag for the whole family. We hook our souvenir cups to it and it works well enough that we don't have to worry about losing our cups. Only do that half the time though. Once we've gotten our money's worth out of the cups, though, we leave the bag and cups in the car and just buy a paper cup when we want pop and get countless cups of ice water throughout the day. That way we can just ride and go!
  22. Great pics! It really is massive in person. This weekend, I kept trying to picture for myself just how well it's going to interact with the midway.
  23. Something about Steve Jobs didn't want his iOS devices to be subject to the potential malware and viruses of Flash, so it never came to be on iOS. However, I believe Android had Flash capability at one point in time...however it has since been removed. Probably for similar reasons as to why Steve didn't want to support it for security reasons. Edit: darn! Beat by Terpy.
  24. Got to thinking today while at the park...how do they get the evac system onto the ride platform? It's on wheels but I can't see any section of fencing that can be moved/opened to allow it in. Did they forget that minor detail or is there actually a decently easy way to get it in there? Anything I can think of seems like it would take too long...
  25. Is Wicked Twister a coaster? What about Invertigo? Just because it isn't full circuit doesn't mean it isn't a coaster, IMHO.
