  1. Yes. The use the company has requested for now is metal key chains. Not rides. So maybe they trademarked Banshee to sell key chains at Cedar Point with the original ride logo?
  2. Terp, do you feel it is worth the extra wait for the front seat on Dragster?
  3. I'm more confused at the fact he called himself "jacked."
  4. Here the thing- nobody's being mean, we're correcting any misconceptions so you better understand what's going on.
  5. And we lose the charm in Adventure Express... In other news, Friends is a much better sitcom than Seinfeld and nobody can convince me otherwise!

    Theming

Oh don't get me started on International Street music. I've heard "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter, "Misery" by Maroon 5, and "Madness" by Muse. Not that I have anything against those songs, but really Kings Island? I don't think that's the first impression you want guests to have. Hopefully we will get classical music back eventually, but I am doubtful.
  7. No, I truly believe you fooled nobody.
  8. I have a feeling this is going to be a long summer...
  9. Repainted Adventure Express entrance sign! How can anyone forget that?
  10. I thought I was the only one that felt that way about Magnum. Thanks for making me feel better, BeastForever!
  11. Well, I've been lurking for a while, but I feel like I have to speak out about this. Big Sexy, please think before you post. It's very rude to call Gary Coleman and "the Don gentleman" weird without even meeting them. I'd love to be able to ride as many rides as they do, does that make me weird? Also, I'm sure I can speak for others when I say I don't appreciate you calling The Racer "a POS". If you feel that way, it's fine, but please don't use such rude language, and at least tell us why you feel the ride is worthy of this title. I know you're still a fairly new member, but by now you should know better. And many of your posts have little to no insight on the topic at hand. In the Cedar Point tips topic, I recall you making a comment about trying to spot women in Soak City while on Magnum. It's even worse in the 2014 topic. Your source is less reliable than Screamscape, and that's saying something. Your say you're sure it's a B&M giga, then you say it's definately an Intamin giga, while insulting almost every coaster type possible. From the way you post, it's clear you didn't even bother to read the TOS. So please, as a courtesy to all the posters on KIC, read the TOS, and improve your posting. Diamondhawk, going back to lurking. P.S. - Please tell me you know who "the Don gentleman" is.
  12. Possibly, I've been wrong before, and I'll be the first to admit that. I'm just going off of what I have heard. Don may be throwing us a teaser, but it just seems to obvious for me. But, as I have said before, patience is a virtue.
  13. I'm pretty sure you guys are putting way too much thought into this. Let's look at the clues: 1.) Cedar Fair trademarks the name Banshee. Think back to the teaser on the fence. Mysterious, bone-chilling screams? Unless the park is really trying to throw a curveball here, I don't see what other name could be used. Before anyone brings up Mustang, was the name Mustang trademarked? 2.) It would be almost unheard of for a seasonal park to start construction this early for a small attraction. AKA: The odds of us getting a wild mouse are pretty small in my book. 3.) We have footers on the ground! They look like coaster footers, they smell like coaster footers, they taste like coaster footers, they sound like coaster footers... you finish the puzzle. 4.) Does Cedar Fair have a history of building ziplines? I mean, not to be rude, but really? Do you honestly think that is what this is for? 5.) This is almost certainly B&M. But why Diamondhawk, why are you taking all our toys? Cedar Fair doesn't seem to exactly love Intamin right now. In fact, Intamin hasn't been used at Cedar Fair since 2010 for I305. I remember Don saying that Kings Island wanted to focus on reliable, high capacity rides after disasters such as Son of Beast, The Cyrpt, Backlot Stunt Coaster, etc. Also, if that's not enough proof, CEO Matt Ouimet said while at the B&M plant looking at Gatekeeper, that Kings Island was on his radar. 6.) Don is trying to throw you off with that tweet. And it clearly worked. Hats off to you Mr. Helbig. Don't look too much into this. I know the anticipation is great for the new ride, but not every word out of Don's mouth will have to do with this new attraction.
  14. I think Adventure Express got a new entrance sign. It has the same logo, but the colors don't look as faded. Altough not as noticable to me, I think the same thing happened to the Xtreme Skyflyer sign. Nothing that spectacular, but something I saw.
  15. Don posted a picture of the 2013 souvenir bottle. I'm a little disappointed, because it looks like we are getting smaller cups like the ones at Carowinds. However, I think the design is decent enough.
  16. So far, we know in 2013 KI will get: - More food improvement, including cheesecake. Yum! - Dinosaurs Alive expansion. - New shows, including a Rock n' Roll themed show. - Oktoberfest renovation (new Bier Garden). There may very well be more things announced, like more food options. So, in other words, we will be getting lots of new somethings!
  17. Well, usually tried and true. I was thinking more along the lines of Diamondback, and how the chain is starting to turn away from Intamin.
  18. Here's my humble opinion about the great Cedar Fair vs. Paramount debate. Paramount hit the jackpot with Flight of Fear (after the OTS restraints were replaced). The ride was thrilling, and had good theming. I feel like all of Paramount's failures were from trying to go too extreme in one direction or the other. Some rides were too themed (TR:TR and Italian Job). The theming was great, but Paramount wasn't commited to keeping it up, and it was just too much for a seasonal park. Then some rides were too extreme (Son of Beast, and even Delirium). Trying to break records or make a "giant" version of a ride doesn't make it better. Why Paramount didn't add rides similar to Flight of Fear, I don't know, but I think that the extreme ones killed Paramount. The hard thing however, is that we like extreme rides. Even if they failed, we liked them when they worked, which is why some of us have a hard time with Cedar Fair. Cedar Fair usually will picked tried and true over uncertainty. And at this point, while the park is still recovering from a dark spot in history, I think tried and true is best for us now.
  19. I love how on the website it says "you'd never know by looking at it, but Woodstock Gliders is over 70 years old!" I want to say "you'd never know by looking at it, but that ride belongs to Kings Island!"

    A diversion

You won't be able to ask any questions, but you can still read questions and answers without a twitter account. I don't have one, but occasionally read Don's tweets.
  21. Speaking of 2013, Don posted on Facebook that The Beast and Diamondback will be the 2013 early ride time rides, along with select Planet Snoopy attractions.
