  1. They are getting fitted with new "hybrid" style motor..... just running on electricity like a dark ride. That would be the best thing for PKI to do to save some dough on gas. But I think the tiques will be back, but re-themed to another popular cartoon. -Hauntguy
  2. ^ No they didn't. SDTHC is just another KID ride for HBL. PKI needs an awesome, SCARY dark ride in like the Coney Mall or Rivertown. SDTHC sucks!!! I hate that ride... it's poor attempt at a dark ride! -Hauntguy
  3. I don't know who has the rights to it.... maybe PKI could get it, but "The Amityville Horror Dark Ride" would be kick ass. The movie just came out and is scary as hell!! I think that would make a good dark ride... I also love the idea of a new, revamped PT... that was not a ride, it was art in motion. PKI is known as a familly park, meeting the needs of every member in the family. PKI needs one, truly scary dark ride... If I worked at PKI, I would already be designing a new ride (that's what I do). I DO NOT want to see a roller coaster/dark ride.... I want to see the "doombuggie" style dark ride like PT and the Haunted Mansion. PKI needs one..REALLY BAD!!! -Hauntguy
  4. I think PKI should expand on it's already existing park! Like re-theme the themed areas... Like completely change Rivertown to the "Old West Backlot", then they could put a bid "Stage 40" on the TR:TR building. International Street can become the "Paris France Backlot"... with cafes, shops, and the tower!!! Action Zone can become... "Stunt Central". This is where park guest can train to become stunt people for big, paramount movies! Octoberfest could could totally get rid of the "german pub" feel and become part of "Stunt Central"... The Coney Mall can become "Old Boston Backlot" or "Old New England"... They can theme the area as a growing (and busy) small New England town with shops and restaurants. The midway can become "Main Street", with it's wide... road like feel. The area where FoF is located can become "Area 51 Stage"... a sci-fi movie lovers dream come-true!!! Nick Central would stay the same except for one thing... it would take over ALL of Hanna-Barbara Land. This would allow for alot of "Kid-oriented" theming throughout the entire area. You would have Nick, Nick Jr and Noggin themes throughout the area. The Picnic area and foot path to the water park could be lined with facades to give it a movie park feel. Those are just my thoughts and views on it. -Hauntguy
  5. I can see it now: Pilot training vids, "Pilots" in the que, the effects working (beacon lights, fog, maybe some strobes), and a real "ship announcer" like "Fighters Alpha, Delta, and O'Riley now entering the DANGER ZONE!!!" That would be cool! -Hauntguy
  6. The first (and LAST) I rhode SOB.... it made my knees bleed! They where bruiesed and scabby for 2 weeks... I will NEVER ride it again unless they chande the trains or smooth it out! -Hauntguy
  7. OK, what the hell happened to the link... I WANNA SEE SOME PICS!!!! -Hauntguy
  8. I would have to say that all of the actors did a great job... but mostly the House of Darkness, Sleepy Hollow Horror and The Circus of Horrors had the best acting. I went through Curse of the Crypt that first weekend (when it was really dark) and hated it! I create haunted houses for a living, and NO attraction needs to be that dark. It actually took away from the attraction! Although I didn't complain about it directly to PKI, I sure let everyone I knew who was going to Fearfest know!!! -Hauntguy
  9. I would pay to go... I would $100 a ticket to go! It just a thing with me. To me, you can't put a price on getting scared! So I am willing to pay ANYTHING!!! -Hauntguy
  10. Hey guys, I was looking at the calender... and in the month of October (my favorite month) PKI is open 3 days in a row now!!! Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays!!! Could Fearfest be three days of fear now? Just curious, what do you guys think? -Hauntguy
  11. PKI would have to change the total theme of the ride... leaving props and specail effects... but changing the name and the outside graphics/logos/etc. PKI could do it... just takes some creativity! They could event do it under $500!!! I could... -Hauntguy
  12. It could be like "Route 666" on steroids... I loved that attraction, RIP!!! CombatStupendous89, Your right, it should only be fearful during Fearfest... Thanks for the comments guys, it's reassuring to me to know that some of my ideas are still good..LOL!! I also have another idea: For fearfest, they could change out the license plates on the ride vehicles... if they have them and IF they are interchangable. They could do some really cool stuff like: "SCARE ME" "LSTRD-666" "NGHTMRE" I think that would be cool... just an idea. -Hauntguy
  13. Exactly... PKI could have the first "multi-themed" roller coaster!!! -Hauntguy PS: That was a great movie!
  14. I can see PKI putting in a major hotel...if it isn't already happening. Once this happens, and PKI can start to offer vacation packages like Universal, Disney and Cedar Point... I see more MAJOR coasters in the future. PKI has the land, but they can't budget like the other parks can. Maybe that will change! -Hauntguy
  15. I can't wait to see if PKI dress it up for Fearfest!!! Like some decaying, rotting cops next to and on top of the police cars... erosion cloth hanging off of the parking garage... fog and strobe in the subway stairs... some groaning and monster noises in the "tunnel" after the mid-ride show... make the tunnel pitch black (if it isn't already)... POSSIBLE THEME: You are the last survivors in the zombie ran town... you must board your own mini-cooper and out run the zombies and monsters that are trying to get you! Can you out run the dead? Can you stare death in the face and laugh? You ride awaits you... Sorry, I do this for a living! But it would be cool if the park did something like this.. add that extra "coolness" to a already great ride. -Hauntguy
  16. Oh, blue screen tech... I totally forgot that the theater uses that! It doesn't really make scenery appear, it is just edited in! Scrim effects are what makes scenery and props appear. Blue/Green screening or ChromaKeying, is just method used to replace one color with a digital image. -Hauntguy

    Shows

(Thought I might throw this in, it is a show!) The first year of Fearfest was produced by the Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company... under the direction of Lynton V. Harris. Remember the The Freezer, Museum of Horrors, The Mummy... it was a good show that year. Then PKI purchased a 3D haunted attraction from Larry Kirchner and Halloween Productions (www.halloweenproductions.com)... Of course this is the Circus of Horrors attraction (by the way, that is the PKI name, the real name of the haunt is "TerrorVisions in 3D"!). PKI also purchased some haunt units from Leonard Pickel, CEO of Elm Street Productions (www.elmstreetentertainment.com). This would be the Curse of the Crypt (maybe), The House of Darkness and the Maze of Madness. As far as I know, PKI has built there own trail using props from older attractions and products available to the haunt industry. For doing there own haunt, PKI does a trail very well. Now in 2004, PKI purchased Sleepy Hollow Horror from Oak Island Productions (www.oakislandinc.com) from Tampa FL. Along with this attraction, several products where purchased and added to other haunts. The movies at the Action FX theater came from Simex-Iwerks (www.simex-iwerks.com). I think it is safe to say that Elviras was better than the castle! Many of the new animations in '04 where purchased through Oak Island Productions and Distortions Ltd. (www.distortionsonline.com) Hope that helps with some info on Fearfest, afterall.... it is a PKI show as well!! -Hauntguy
  18. It's a "scrim" effect...popularized by the Haunted Mansion darkride at Walt Disney World. You can get scrim material here: www.rosebrand.com Hope that helps... -Hauntguy
  19. I think that PKI needs a truly scary (not meant for kids) dark ride. Or they can just bring back PT and keep everybody happy!!! Yes the park does have SD:HM, but come on.... how does that ride NOT get on your nervers? The animations SUCK, the ride has wood CUT-OUTS!!!! What the hell kind-of dark ride is that! SD:HM is NOT a dark ride, it's a game!! -Hauntguy

    Park Access

Just think of the theming PKI could add for Fearfest. Zombie cops next to the cars, skeleton FBI agents waiting to stop you... I can only imagine. -Hauntguy
  21. The only time PKI is haunted is during Fearfest. -Hauntguy

    the pay

I don't work at PKI, but if I did..... I am 2 hours away, so it would be 4 hours of driving a day! Not 4 hours there and 4 hours back. I am simply stating that I am willing to make the drive to work at PKI, it's what I was born to do. -Hauntguy

    the pay

Then I guess I'm an idiot.... or for others it's called dedication. -Hauntguy

    the pay

Dress to impress..... Tie, shirt (tucked in), dress pants, dress shoes, belt...etc. I am willing to drive and the thought of an apartment has crossed my mind more than once. Thanks for the help guys. -Hauntguy

    the pay

Will PKI allow you to work from 9:10-8? They state that they have flexible scheduling, but would they allow this. I am for sure going to the Open Interview day they have, but what do I need to have with me to present to the park? Thanks. -Hauntguy
