Was anyone there today at P&G day and see anything going on with it today?

I saw a video for Kennywood's new coaster for next season it looks hard to tell what it is in the video but it looks cool kinda of like Fahrenheit at Hershey Park. I hope we can get something in the future like that it would be great.

If they are running tests would this be for the amount of stress from the speed the wood can handle and the trains too? I'm anixous to find out whats going on now with it if there are tests being done on it. I'm sure we will find out in several weeks coming up whats going on with SOB's future.

This is getting interesting now I guess we could have some hope that it might be reopened next year if they figure out what they are going to do with it. Hmmmm testing it sounds like to me they are getting data from the ride with the dummies in it based on the ride how rough or speed,g forces it has and on the posts before said I hope they can figure what they are going to do next if this is the case than.

Why would they be running it when it's closed for the rest of this season? I want to see pictures or proof of this than?

That could be possible but how would it be done and really what trains could be used?

Mean Streak is the worst ever I have been on, it makes SOB look like its just like The Beast really honestly which is true in some ways.

1. Diamondback is my top drop pick for our home park. :D For Cedar Point my top drop pick would be Millennium Force because of the view of Lake Erie&the park,the quiet elevator lift on it too. :D

Hank your pretty much right though man it cost a lot of $ to tear down than to fix what could really be done to SOB and really get it right this time!

The first lift hill is very slow and doesn't get fast until its almost cresting the top going over,also the 2nd lift seems slow to me also and they have the turn before you go down into the helix at the point after you have cleared the chain it seems slow on that point of the ride also.

Talk about bad capacity Invertigo is very bad on that lol!

Its sad how the ride was designed so fast and built that way by a crappy company too really doesn't it seem fast how it was up and operating and the father was designed in a good amount of time by a designer who knew what he was doing too and is still operating now and is awesome and will be for many years to come that is exciting to me too its my favorite wooden coaster ever!

I had heard the same thing about Land of Illusions from my best friend she said the same thing to me that only 1 was good out of them all there,but she didn't go to Haunt at all.

Yeah they started to walk down the exit for Flight Deck and thought SOB was open it was sad to hear them say though ''Oh SOB is open"

I thought it was sad when someone on Friday night said oh SOB is open when the open area next to line where its blocked off with that metal gate they thought it was opened. I wish it would never have had the problems its had...

I had a lot of fun with my friends and it was very friendly talking to people who you didn't know at all and the employees had a great time too I could getting everyone pumped on The Beast their crew was fun!

If they finally announce whats going to happen with SOB when could we see any kind of construction happen after the off-season? Would this go on in the winter or after when the park opens back up for spring of 2010 due to conditions? :huh:

I used to love the part when you turn out of the bottom of the first drop's tunnel and go down that second hill into the woods but now it has a trim break there now. My favorite part has got to be the 2nd lift hill going down into the helix, the blood pumping in your body and excitment for that part of The Beast.

I thought they did but I guess Cedar Fair is the one out of luck on that because Paramount would get that money. Who knows maybe we will see SOB redesigned like Phantoms Revenge was at Kennywood.

Flight Commander the woman died on because she was drunk and had unbuckled herself and thats how she fell out and when she hit the ground died from that. SOB was cleared I thought by the state and I wonder when we will know after the season is over what they are going to do with it. I'm not a big fan of SOB but loved the first drop all the time and then after that the rosebowl that everyone had complained about was very rough for going 80mph. I think it should have had a few hills after the first drop and then went into a double helix like someone before posted on this topic on here or screamscape I think it was I can't remember but it was designed the wrong way really.

I was very offended by a comment on Channel 5's topic on Obama and the ignorant person wrote oh and Homosexuals,Lesbians voted for him and they are now bashing about health care. Be careful what you ask for the person also wrote too. When are people going to really grow up and shut up with negative remarks made about something that they will never have control over haha!

I rode The Beast Friday and it had rough spots but that is normal because its wooden its not going to be like glass smooth,people who don't ride roller coasters enough don't know that its normal. SOB wasn't normal it was beyond that because of the accident that happened in 06' it has had some good years besides that one year that pretty much reuined it for the future of it possibly.

I'll have to say MF,Magnum both offer a great view of Lake Erie,Diamondback is a great airtime ride to me but in the end I love them all three both great coasters!
