  1. Just curious, what do you all think crowds will be like on Halloween night?
  2. Not a problem, but when I use the 'View New Content' button to view a thread, then when I use the back button on Google Chrome, the thread that I just read will go away on its own most times. Thought that was pretty cool.
  3. Nice report, silver2005! And coasterfanatic2012, I had imagined that the stadium would be larger than it really is. The stadium feels really intimate and ties in well together. The south stands were really cool to watch the game from, and to see the O-H-I-O revolution around the stadium was cool.
  4. I'm pleasantly surprised. It looks as if the Kingdom will be back next year. I wonder how 600,000 compares to parks such as Holiday World or Kings Island.
  5. ^The only real reason I carry around my phone in the park and go to such great measures not to lose it is for emergency and for the fact that it costs quite a bit of money.
  6. Kinda off-topic, but Wi-Fi is becoming more and more popular over data, due to it being free (most places) and fast. Why don't we have Wi-Fi signals everywhere, limiting our use of data?
  7. Gator, I'm sorry to hear that. They don't let us anywhere near the opposite stands anymore, which I am a fan of. Who Dey, we won last year. Either way, the game is always great. Since I'm out of high school now, I think I'm allowed to say that I have never met a guy from St. Xavier that I didn't like.
  8. I was just thinking about writing this year's review, thanks Spectrum!
  9. Homestar, I wish I could do that too. I liked Thunder Run a bit more than Lightning Run, but both were fun coasters. On Lightning Run, I also didn't like how the Kingdom only ran one train during weekdays. The line was almost an hour long, and their loading times on the one train were slow already. I asked a ride op why they weren't using the second train, and he told me that they only use the second train on weekends. Why not use it all the time? (If someone has an answer, please share! I like learning.) Also, the queues for their coasters were way out of hand. If you would stand to one side of the stairs leading up to the station, someone behind you would go in front of you. I am glad that Kings Island has 'line regulators' that help distribute guests to different rows.
  10. I see where you're coming from. I didn't suspect the area to be sketchy as it's mostly within the same land as the fairgrounds, but the neighborhood near the park's front gate and behind the waterpark could be subject to sketchiness.
  11. When I went to the Kingdom in late July, I saw how much had been put into getting the park ready for this year. I was just curious and kind of angry about the hours. During the regular season, they opened at 11 and closed at 7. Tickets were $40 per day, which is $5 an hour. At Kings Island, admission (walk up ticket price) is $52. The park is open during the regular season from 10-10. For each hour, a guest only pays $4.33. Currently, Kings Island has more attractions than the Kingdom, and you're able to enjoy more on your $4.33 than your $5 spent at Kentucky Kingdom. The Kingdom needed to stay open longer, the opportunity cost of them staying open two hours longer is probably much less than the benefit that it will give. I agree with terp, who wants to go in a pool past Labor Day? Either put on a Halloween event or save money for next season.
  12. Or The Pit...my high school's stadium, one of the top ten places to watch a football game!
  13. #Jonathan update! If you happen to be attending any University of Cincinnati Bearcats or Cincinnati Bengals football games this season, #Jonathan will be on the west concourse. Say hi to him if you didn't see him at Cedar Point!
  14. That's interesting that those employee benefits cross over in that way. Does CF do that with their employees?
  15. The news helicopters are here still. Kinda creepy if you ask me
  16. Flight of Fear caught on fire, and Warren County crews are responding right now.
  17. I don't know if this was a change, but the bear added to the KI&MV Railroad is a neat small change.
  18. I don't know if this was a change, but the bear added to the KI&MV Railroad is a neat small change.
  19. Don't read too much into it. Markings or flags don't necessarily mean there's going to be a brand new structure only there for Haunt.
  20. Okay, everybody take a deep breath. Now, DT is a well loved ride, as seen by those on this thread. It's unfortunate that we can't ride it right now, but hopefully we will soon. I want you all to remain calm and wait. We all wait in lines, but at the end of the line is a great ride waiting for us. Some members here wouldn't have waited 4 hours to ride Banshee if they didn't believe that it was going to be a great ride. If we all can be a little more patient, and wait a little bit longer, we'll be able to hear 'Right Now' soon enough.
  21. The NHL Playoffs are ruining me

  22. 42. Terp, "Who is John Galt," Atlas? Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Classic book, okay movie.
  23. I'm currently marathoning Banshee. What is life?
