  1. Can I be honest? My dad just shared this on my Facebook wall and I thought it was fake. I had to come here to verify that is is ACTUALLY happening. But it looks like a maintenance nightmare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. We headed for Banshee after that but it was closed. We were prepared for it though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I've made several friends this year who have pretty much accepted my dedication and appreciation of roller coasters and KI in general. This past Saturday night, I got off work at 6. What?! Crazy that I didn't have the closing shift. So I asked one of my friends if she wanted to go to the park with me to ride Beast one last time before the season ended. "It's 35 degrees," she said. "It's closed after this weekend," was my reply. So we donned our gloves. Our headbands. Our scarves. Our hand and toe warmers. Just like the Ohioans (and born Floridian, still not used to that Ohio chill after th
  4. Doing a school project. Trying to remember all the amusement park incidents that happened altogether in 2014. There was Ninja at SFMM, Skyhawk at CP, Colossus burning? So many more, right? I just can't compile them all off the top of my head. If you think of anything, add to the list. Thanks!
  5. Club blood is super tame. I go into club blood for one reason: to dance. Twilight ruined the scariness of vampires for me. I would say the "scariest" is Slaughterhouse. I haven't been in the new one yet, but last time I was in it, there was a blaring car horn which scared the day lights out of me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The new paint job will look nice, especially next to Millenium. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So... Is this the new attraction they'll be doing the first rider auction for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Or if a trash can is completely full (doesn't happen very often at KI) yet someone just adds to the growing Jenga tower of trash, further adding to the impending doom of the tower toppling, liquid cheese and ketchup splattering, just to bake in the sun and develop that awful "hot trash" smell we all know and love. It annoys me. Walk 20 feet and throw it away in the next available receptacle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think working retail is already scary enough without the killers [emoji19] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. How about when people cram into the station? I get claustrophobic when I'm waiting in the FoF station. It's nice on crowded days when they have a ride op asking how many riders are in each group and only letting a certain amount of people into the station. People seem to think that being in the station faster will get them on the ride faster and will keep wedging themselves in as tightly as they can. It gets confusing since you can't tell if that's just a really long line for the front or if it's the line for the row they are behind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CIBcmJzr-s&feature=youtu.be Today Slingshot was only $5. My mom and I decided it was finally time to give it a go. My mom is an absolute hoot on these things. Please try to ignore me making T.I.E. Fighter noises at the end. I didn't realize the video would have sound.
  12. If the ride wasn't going to re-open today, wouldn't they let everyone know at the park entrance like they typically do? Also, there are ride ops in the station. More and more keep arriving. There are now five ride ops at the entrance. I'm hopeful. Edit: they got a cooler of ice water. How could they not re-open if they need to get a cooler of ice water? 13. From what I can see right now, there's no crane. Then again, it's kinda hard to see back there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Most of the nametags I've seen at DB all season have been blue (16/17 years old). So maybe they're waiting for the DB crew to get out of class? All I know is if Diamondback isn't open by 5 I'm going home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. We got our Megabus.com tickets fairly cheap. The closer to the date of departure, the more expensive the tickets are. From Cincy to Atlanta was $50 and took nine hours. Atlanta to Orlando was $29 and also took nine hours. The first nine hours are okay. The buses are comfy depending on which seat you get (avoid the back seats). They all say they have free wifi and outlets for charging your phone, but they don't always work. 18 hours on a bus is never a great time, but it sure did save money. Altogether, the round trip was about $150. If you figure in the fact that driving to Florida takes fro
  16. Thanks! I already want to go back.
  17. Gringotts' locker situation was a LOT better than Forbidden Journey's. Once you pass through all the outdoor queue area, they pluck someone from your group, give them a ticket and a locker, and you meet back up with them before the lines moves up too far. And sadly, we did not get to Spider-Man, E.T., or Poseidon. We only went for two days this time, and this has taught me that in order to have a stress free visit, at least three days would be the way to go.
  18. I just realized that I left out the water rides. I knew I would forget something! We rode Jurassic Park and Ripsaw Falls. I was just glad that I got to ride the iconic Jurassic Park in my lifetime! I mean, it was on the TV commercials in Florida when I was a kid. When we approached Ripsaw Falls, I saw the speed that those little logs were flying at down the hill and skidding over the water like that, I thought I was crazy for getting in line. But it was actually really fun! I even put my hands up on the last giant drop. Okay, I think that's everything! I think.
  19. This week was a very important week for me because I went to Universal and Islands of Adventure for the first time since I was 18 months old... Nearly nineteen years ago. We boarded the Megabus in Cincy at 9:00 pm Sunday night, and arrived in Orlando at 3:30 pm Momday afternoon. We grabbed a cab and arrived at our hotel on International Drive a while later. I liked that the hotel was five minutes from Universal. We could go up to the top floor and see the park from there. Most of this is a combination of the two days spent in the parks, simply because if I wrote out in detail everything we
  20. Yeah, instead of living their lives and actually paying attention to the experience itself, a lot of people these days are more interested in sharing their experience via social media than enjoying the actual experience. It completely baffles me. I understand the need for the OCCASIONAL photo as it can often be a trigger for some fond memories, but there's a point where it gets ridiculous! I go to a LOT of concerts. When I first started going, I saw the entire thing through my phone. However, now I have a rule for myself to only take pics for a couple minutes, then put my phone away. I'm lea
  21. I'm always referring to The Bat as "Top/Flight...BAT. Yes that one."
  22. I remember when FoF had those. I was riding with my mom and put my hands up before a turn and ended up smacking her right in the face. It was hilarious but the video was pretty expensive so we decided not to buy it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The thing about E-cigs that annoys me is that people like to smoke them everywhere just because they can. I'm getting fish for someone at work a few months ago, and the customer was wearing one around his neck. As he enters the aquatics area, he immediately informs me that he's "allowed" to smoke inside because it's an E-cigarette. In my head I'm thinking, "that's nice." So anyhoo, he's pointing to all the fish he wants and I'm bagging them up for him as he continues to vape in the store, blowing...vapor? Smoke? Whatever... In my direction repeatedly. Like he was just trying to display the fa
