  1. I can handle the Power Tower at CP that launches you upward. No biggie. However, Drop Tower is a different story. The height doesn't bother me, but the suspense of not knowing when the drop is bothers me. I've only ridden it twice and I will only ride it if I have friends with me who really want to ride it.
  2. I've had the ride op say "Diamond!" and the train full of guests say "Diamond!" Reminds me of that episode of The Office. "What do we want?" "Pies!" "When do we want it?" "Pies!"
  3. At Coasting For Kids the DB ride ops were making our night rides a little more interesting by quoting Spongebob. "Train is clear!... at night." "Get ready to ride Diamondback... at night." They were also singing the Spongebob theme song while checking the restraints.
  4. While the incident involving FoF is unfortunate, reading through this thread I can't help but to notice that every time the media covers KI we're all on here correcting the articles. We could all make a lot of money if news networks and newspapers hired coaster geeks to proofread their articles and stories before publishing them [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Alien Encounter was my dad's favorite when we lived in Tampa and had Disney passes. It's a shame I was six years old and too tiny to ride anything. I would've loved Alien Encounter. (Weird to think that I've been in Montu's station a dozen times and I've never even ridden it. Curse you parent swap.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I rode Banshee seven times in a row during Coasting for Kids yesterday, and that's the most I've ever ridden Banshee in one amount of time. With each ride, my head hurt more and more. I don't think I can handle Banshee more than once or twice per visit, which is weird because I can ride any other coaster 100 times in a row without batting an eyelash. 8. My head is suffering from those seven Banshee rides in a row. Worth it though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Same. My friend and I stick to ourselves at these things though. We may have talked to two people all day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. We actually only did Racer four times [emoji16] Diamondback first thing in the morning for an hour was the best part! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I've never had anyone take my tiny crossbody bag, however one problem I run into a lot is other guests carelessly putting their souvenir cups in the bins. In previous seasons I've set my bag in a puddle of Fanta without realizing, so always double check for soda puddles! [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. A dark ride that isn't a game and is super scary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yes bring back Son of Beast! I only got to ride it like four times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. People say that AE isn't exciting, but if I recall correctly, it has a thrill rating of 5 (higher than DT!). I remember back in the day when it had a thrill rating of 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks! Sounds like an absolute blast and I can't wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. That's the one! I hadn't noticed that until last summer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Second car of one of the trains does this wobbly thing. Has anyone else ever experienced the wobbly thing? Or am I crazy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Work always calls me when I'm in the park! I feel less bad about it if my phone is locked away where I can't answer it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. What exactly happens at Coasting For Kids? I know it's lots of coaster riding but I'm not quite sure what exactly is going on [emoji54] I haven't done any event since the DB First Rider auction, so I'm kind of a newbie again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Putting my tiny bag with my phone, pass, and money in a locker for a couple hours lets me get through AZ rides without having to text people and carry my stuff. I think it's well worth the couple bucks.
  21. My friend and I just hit $250. This is my first CFK and I am so so so excited!
  22. Too many times in the past, ride operators have avoided tackling such situations for fear of offending someone or causing a stir. In at least one situation, they've successfully avoided offending the rider, but cost him his life. It's unfortunately common for such safety regulations to be spottily enforced. Obviously the worst case is where a rider who did not meet the safety requirements was allowed to ride and was consequently hurt. But certainly another big drawback to that sort of wavering enforcement is situations like this, where a guest feels confused or even embarrassed - how am I deemed safe to ride one time, then denied later on during the day? It's been the cause of lawsuits at Cedar Fair parks. (I wouldn't suggest you hire a lawyer.) Understand that, truthfully, you shouldn't have been allowed to enter the queue the first time if your brace prevented "safe riding" as the manufacturer or park define it. It may seem extraneous, but the manufacturer and park have to draw lines somewhere, and they happened to draw it in a way that, apparently, should've prevented you from riding at all. My suggestion to you and to ANYONE with ANY kind of limitation or impairment or brace or cast or disorder or medical issue or disability is to stop at Guest Relations and speak to someone who can CLEARLY define for you what you can and cannot ride. That information is available and is not secret. Especially in the case of guests who wear prosthetic limbs or have any sort of cast, it seems fairly obvious that you will NOT be allowed on every ride, so a stop at Guest Relations ought to be an obvious first stop. I have little pity for guests with prosthetic limbs who wait in a line for Flight of Fear then act appalled, confused, and offended at their inability to ride safely as defined by Premier Rides, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, or Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. C'mon. Ask. My brother failed to ask and wasted a drive down there. He broke his ankle over spring break (the day before they were supposed to go to WWOHP, too, poor guy). He wears a boot that he can take off anytime, but he still needs a scooter to get around with. He took his boot off and tried to hobble up to the Banshee queue and was shocked that they didn't let him on. Maybe next month, kiddo
  23. My friend and I are doing CFK next Sunday and we spent a good amount of rides on Racer trying to find the best seat and to prepare ourselves for the event. Racer is still just as much fun as it was when I was a kid! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well, the bike stuntman from the show approves of my idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. What seat in your experience puts the least amount of pressure on your head? First drop, great. First loop, cool. Zero-G roll, no problem. The rest of the ride puts so much pressure on my head. Sometimes it depends on how tight the restraints are but typically the last 30 seconds of the ride make my head feel like it's gonna explode. I still love Banshee, though. That first drop gets me EVERY time. Love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
