  1. Just got home from KI and did my fair share of rides. However, my friend noticed something on my shoulder after we got off Banshee. That's a line of broken blood vessels. I must've ridden Banshee at least twenty times already this season, and I'm confused as to why it hasn't happened before. Anyhoo, all of my rides on Banshee today were pretty uncomfortable. It's safe to say I'm not a huge fan of the new B&M restraints. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I'm guilty of zig-zagging. Sometimes I take friends who have to "work their way up" to Diamondback instead of going straight there as the gates open. So we'll go from AE to BLSC to Bat before doing anything else. I could (and did) ride Diamondback at 7:30-8 in the morning so I don't get the "working your way up" thing. 3. This! When I go to the park alone, the people I'm with don't have problems with marathoning Adventure Express till the cows come home. "I can't believe we waited three hours...for just THAT." Yeah, definitely going ALONE next opening day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Going alone is fun because you get to choose the rides and nobody says "Hey can we NOT ride Diamondback ten times in a row?" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Opening day I kinda had the same thought. They usually (in my experience) always check your bags at Haunt and I personally don't mind having my bag searched. Better safe than sorry. When I saw the size of the crowd opening day it was in the back of my mind how bad stuff like that always happens on days like this. Sad that it happens, but it does happen. 6. Every time my dad and I go to KI (he's a truck driver who lives in Indy so not very often) my dad will tell me about when Beast opened and they had the paw prints on the pavement extending all the way to the park entrance for its queue. It's my favorite and always will be, especially at night, and in no other seat but the front. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Jaws was my very first amusement park ride ever. I lived in FL with my family until I was seven. Mom took me to Universal to see Barney when I was three, and figured that she didn't want to buy two tickets to Universal without getting her money's worth. She took me on Jaws, and I guess (I don't remember since I was three) the driver of the boat pulls a "gun" out and shoots it during the course of the ride. She tells me I screamed the loudest of anyone on that boat...and for a good 45 minutes afterward too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I like the little flaws. The little glitches that have always been there make the park feel more like a home park. It's not Disney. Not everything has to be polished and sparking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Firehawk and BLSC had FunTV as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Two employees were passing out free cups of water when we were in line.Emilee, It took forever to get out Potato Works, but it's the first day, it takes a little time to get the rhythm of the job. I recall the Red's Grille recieved a lot of complaints the first few days, then it ironed out. With Potato Works being one of my favorites I gotta agree. I rarely eat in the park because it's cheaper to pack a cooler but I'll give them another go later this season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Chicken shack wasn't very good in my opinion. Fries were soggy. No honey mustard. I liked the garlic bread though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Busiest I've ever seen the park. 3 hour wait for Banshee, never got a shirt that's okay though because I'm just glad I got to ride it! I really like the addition of FunTV in the queue areas. (In line for Banshee, it got extremely repetitive) However in line for other rides it was a nice touch! Very refreshed feel overall. Now that was my one weekend visit for the season. No more! 13. I have a really good feeling about this season. I do think the crowds will be bigger than ever before since gold passes are so easy to get now. Also Banshee... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Asked myself if I should be a geek and wear my Diamondback first rider shirt tomorrow... Then I said duh, of course I am. April 18 is my nerd-out day! One more sleep and two more classes until Banshee! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. How long was the wait, and with or without FP (is it even useable today?) About 20 to 30 min. both times . There was two levels of VIP badges mine was the yellow (which is what most people had) then there was a pink badge that could get you in the FastLane . 20-30 minutes wait with how many people in line? I'm having flashbacks of Diamondback on opening day 2009 with that line that stretched around the Eiffel Tower after all the first riders got to ride. Thankfully B&Ms are good at getting people through the lines quickly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have knots in my stomach anticipating tomorrow. The wait is agonizing! Especially after seeing that POV! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Do the restraints feel anything like Gatekeeper's? And are they playing queue music? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Big gen ed lecture classes at WSU are actually pretty easy to skip. You learn more in the labs than you do the lectures. Though four absences in this class = dropping one letter grade. Can't miss that Great Gatsby talk!
  19. I know the off-season is getting to me. Last night my boyfriend and I had our date night in Mason, just so I could drive by the empty, lonely park. Hold on guys I'm gonna cry. So close yet so far!
  20. I love my Diamondback T-shirt. I'd like to have a Banshee one. I hope I can still make the cut if I leave from my class at wright state at 11. And I told myself not to use all my skips for that class before opening day
  21. Thinking about joining ACE. Is it worth it? What type of events do they do around here? How much involvement is required?
  22. Last year when I renewed my pass it didn't even need processed. I took it to processing and they just said "nope, you're good." and sent me on my way. My photo is from last year. Should that have happened...?
  23. Media day passes would be worth it. Too bad I'm so quiet and I hardly talk, let alone scream. Ah well. I wonder if there will be some other way to be a "first rider" on Banshee like they did with DB. Probably just getting there early on opening day,
  24. I didn't realize how popular platinum passes were! I always get gold, just because I live 25 minutes away from KI and I'm in college so $9.50 a month is manageable. I would get a platinum, but I would never get to use it. Even making a trip up to Cedar Point is pricey and hard between two jobs. I think the year a graduate college will be the year I go platinum. Until then, I'll stick with gold...
