  1. CoasterKrazy, I'm not arguing with you here and, in fact, agree with you completely on your point of being miffed with the liars, but as beastfreak basically said, we don't live in Mayberry and things aren't always as they seem. As I said before, take EVERYTHING you read or hear with a grain of salt until it's been announced officially by PKI. My basic thing was you coming on here making it sound like this site is full of blundering idiots. I don't post a lot, but mostly enjoy reading what everybody has to say. If I were to come on here and read BS over and over again, then ya know, that would be less time I spend every day worrying about "real life." I'm not saying it's right to lie..I'm just saying it's like reading a really great (and sometimes hilarious) fiction novel where you wonder where some of them come up with the things they write about.
  2. Everybody has a right to their own opinion, but if I were you, I'd only take things with a grain of salt until it's officially been announced by PKI. This site is full of people who truly love PKI and want to see it to it's full potential. With amusement parks that have the reputation that PKI has carried with it since opening day, there's always going to be hear-say, so why not talk about it on here and get other people's opinions on what they've heard? Sure, some of it may not be true, but it's our God given right to talk about and speculate all we want. Until you have "inside sources" of your own, don't knock other people because they've wanted to share with the rest of us what they've heard or what others have confirmed.
  3. I heard something on a coaster show one time that I was watching (maybe Discovery) that the roller coaster cars are built around people of average height and average weight. I think they said something along the lines of 5'5 or 5'6" and 160 or 170 pounds. Go figure!!
  4. Sorry, that was rude. I couldn't help myself. Delete it if you want.
  5. Just don't get too carried away and buy it for someone who CAN'T wear it. You don't want it to get lost in "there" and start a fire!
  6. Let's just I was really glad PKI kept those little packets of Tylenol accessible! It hurt pretty bad, but it was also pretty funny at the time. I felt like a total moron. To make things worse, we were laughing so hard when we got off FOF, people thought we were a couple of fruitcakes or something.
  7. I know it's keeping your head back for the launch, so I probably should've worded that differently. Let's just say now that I felt really stupid cracking the side of my head against my husband's shoulder. Better? Just kidding guys!
  8. I quickly found out why they tell you to keep your head back on the head rest on FOF. I'm 5'6" and my husband's 6'2". I'm sitting on the right side of the car and he's on the left. Towards the end of the ride where you're tilted one direction and then it quickly snaps you the other direction, my head was up and as it snapped my head smacked right into my husband's shoulder really hard! OUCH! Needless to say, I had a headache the rest of the day.
  9. I forgot to put earlier what I'd like to see. DUH! I really think PKI needs an ADULT haunted house. I know they had Phantom Theater and now Scooby, but what about one for us? They could even go for something like FOF if they wanted. I know they wouldn't want two indoor coasters, but I'm sure you catch my drift on the general idea. I think it would really appeal to a lot of people knowing they might get the crap scared out of them if they ride something like that. I don't want to see a cheesy haunted house, but something totally unique and something that creeps you out no matter how many times you've been on it. Just a thought!
  10. I think when PKI was Kings Island, they had a ferris wheel. Don't quote me on it though, but I think it was somewhere around Oktoberfest. Does anybody know for sure so they could back me up on this one? Also, does anybody know the reason why the skylab was taken out?
  11. I know this comment doesn't really apply here, but you guys talking about the jumpsuits made me think of uniforms. For some reason, I remember that the female employees at Kings Island always wore gingham dresses..some red, yellow, blue, pink, and I think they also had aprons on or something along those lines with it. Think of what a pain that would've been to work in!! They looked like square dancing dresses!
  12. I think the only decent picture from the on-ride photos is the one my husband and I got riding The Beast. What was really funny about it is some guy drug his girlfriend on it behind us and she was really freaking out!! In the picture, you see my husband and I grinning from ear to ear and then behind us, the boyfriend with the half grin-scream thing that they tend to capture with his girlfriend's head practically buried behind his back. It's priceless!! As for the keyhole photos, we never leave the park without one. No matter how crappy the picture might be, those are some of our greatest memories.
  13. That's TOO funny!! I bet that's a story all in itself.
  14. I hope they don't take it out or at least board it up. I love sitting by the water and watching the fish in there. It's SO relaxing!!
  15. Brrr, Aaron. You'd freeze your...well, never mind. I would definitely have to go with The Beast. It's a wild ride when it's raining, but like pki_guy and fyrfyter said, the snow would make it awesome!!
