  1. No, two different supervisors said you could. Now it is possible the supervisors are misinformed as well, but who knows lol.
  2. That's what I thought. But as of two days ago, Subway was allowing it.
  3. Okay just for clarification: It is $5 to buy a wristband and you absolutely do not need to be a pass holder to get it. If an employee asks for your pass they are simply scanning it for fun perks and half the time do not even explain why they are scanning your pass. At the beginning of the season there were two option: Free refills in a souvenir cup or unlimited 20 oz. drinks. Yes, this later option was and is abused. The guest is allowed to go up to any stand and get one free drink. Then they are free to hand that drink to a family member or friend and go to another stand or even just get back in line. The system was flawed but there is not much way around it. I have noticed a dwindling number of the 20 oz wristbands. They are given to large groups and I sometimes still see them. I'm not sure if you can still purchase them maybe at the front of the park or if they are just reserved for the fun perks rewards now- but you cannot find them at the stands anymore. All that the stands have are now the refill wristbands. The wristbands DO specify what day and which option you have. Regarding icees: You cannot use your wristband to refill icees at mix-it-up. However, subway is allowing free refills on icees with the wristband. Now wether they are supposed to be allowing it: i'm not sure. But they are. Hope that helped clear things up EDIT: Also I have heard that it is possible that the $5 unlimited drink wristbands were only available for purchase pre-season, before the park opened full time for the summer. Also this information is 100% accurate, not just an assumption.
  4. The wristbands are identical but do say different things. They are available, just got to find them.
  5. They can be bought at any of the food stands. Sometimes though they will only have one or the other and you might have to go to a couple different stands. I believe you can also get them at the front of the park somewhere.
  6. The park also offers a $5 wristband that gives you unlimited 20 oz. drinks for the day too. Best deal the park has ever had in my opinion. I can't for the life of me figure out why they are selling them separately though. Seems pointless to say this wristband will refill your souvenir cup and this other one will get you unlimited drinks, but they are not interchangeable.
  7. Okay that makes a lot more sense lol. Everyone keeps saying Foods doesn't call they just e-mail. Does the fact that they called me, especially so late in the process, mean anything? I applied in like early February so i had pretty much given up thinking they must have all their hiring done.
  8. I have an interview this saturday. Food and beverages called me last week and set up the interview. I have a few friends who work there and assured me that they will hire me. With opening be so close I'm wondering when they do the training. If i'm hired will they do a mock opening weekend the weekend before or something of that nature? I'm hoping they will let me know on-the-spot considering the fact that opening day is only two weeks after my interview.
  9. Thanks for the info. I worked at Forest Park Skyline. I'll probably have any questions if I'm offered a job lol right now I have no idea where I would be working or anything.
  10. That's what I'm assuming. I don't remember to be honest. Stage Tech and Maintenance Tech were two and I think the third was creative signing or something along those lines. EDIT: Also I have one more question. Would it be beneficial at all for me to bring my resume?
  11. I think i do want to work there. I'm familiar there. But I guess I'll just wait and see what's open and consider it form there I just thought it was odd that food and beverage called me even though I didn't put them as any of my preferred positions. I guess I just assumed that they don't send all the applications to every department, but what do I know lol
  12. Hey guys, I have an interview next saturday in Food and Beverages. I didn't pick this as a choice but they called and offered and I figured an interview can't hurt. I currently work at Target but fear I won't be able to get enough hours this summer ( I am in college and won't to make extra cash this summer). I worked at a Skyline from 2009 to 2011 so I'm assuming that's why they called me. So I guess I have two questions. 1. What are my chances of getting hired at Skyline in the park? 2. What are some employee benefits? I know employees get a free pass but short of that I have no idea. I want to make sure its worth leaving my job at Target. I do enjoy working there in the Electronics Department but the hours are limited and I know this is not an issue at Kings Island. I'm not sure how excited I'd be to be making coneys again but I'm good at it and hey may even get a promotion of some sort (can't hurt to hope right? lol) Any help/opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
